A fellow rider on his way home from the track stopped and asked if we were okay. After explaining our current mechanical situation with my Dyna to the good samaritan, he suggested that I call Tim. I explained my situation to Tim and at first he couldn't find me a lever. He explained to me that a lever from a Honda quad has the same splining and that it should work to get me to Phoenix. He then calls me back a minute later and said that he had found one in the driveway of his pad and that he was on his way. My mind was blown, this guy didn't know me at all and he was going to bring me a part so that I could could continue on my journey. He shows up ten minutes later, slaps the lever on and tells me safe travels. I shake his hand, offer him cash and a double double from In and Out. He respectfully declines and sets off on his way. Really cool guy, I'm going to make an attempt to check out his shop on my way home to San Diego in a couple of days. I was pretty sure it was a Transmission issue from the way the truck was misbehaving -naturally dollar signs flashed before my eyes and fear gripped me. Not being familiar with too many Garages in the area, I checked Yelp. The reviews for this place sounded good so I called and left a message late that evening. My phone call was returned promptly the next morning by Andy, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the workings of the transmission, and the overall mechanics of the truck I drive. He did not immediately, steer down the road of costly repair, but rather suggested that the problem could be one of several other, not as costly repairs. I brought the truck in, and he said he would be able to check it out the next day, and would call to advise. Just like he said, he did check it out the next day, and called to advise. Although the problem did not turn out to be the least expensive possibility, it was a much less costly repair than what it could have been. In diagnosing and correcting the problem Andy called anytime there was a development and thoroughly explained what was going on, as well as an estimated cost and time for the repair. He has the knowledge and experience to diagnose, and repair major problems like a transmission. But also they have the honesty and integrity to NOT do unnecessary costly repairs. They fixed what was wrong for a fair price, in a timely manner, and kept me fully informed along the way. They also advised me of any issues that may become problems in the future. They do everything from tires and oil changes, right up to transmissions, They also work on American Motorcycles. WARNING TO OUT-OF-STATE BUYERS: Shady Tax and Warranty Practices at Coyne Motorsports…read moreI am an Oklahoma resident and purchased a 2025 Kawasaki Teryx from Coyne Motorsports. I want to warn anyone dealing with them about how they illegally withhold tax refunds and misrepresent manufacturer warranties. 1. The Double Tax Scam: Coyne delivered my vehicle to me in Arizona. Per California CDTFA rules (Publication 101/34), this is a tax-exempt out-of-state delivery. Yet, Coyne illegally charged me $1,700 in California sales tax. They lied and told me to register it in my home state of Oklahoma, where I had to pay another $1,000 in taxes. 2. The 9-Month Runaround: The California CDTFA confirmed they will refund the money, but the dealer must file the request (Form 448). Coyne has strung me along for 9 months, ultimately refusing to file the form, falsely claiming their financing company "required" the tax. 3. Deceptive Warranty Tactics: They told me the Teryx only had a 6-month factory warranty to scare me into buying a 3-year extended warranty. When I got home, I discovered Kawasaki already includes a 3-year warranty on this machine. I had to cancel the fraudulent warranty they slipped into my financing. Coyne Motorsports is holding $1,700 of my money over an out-of-state delivery they refuse to properly document. Avoid this dealership unless you want to be double-taxed and lied to.
