This place is probably one of the only "motorcycle repair" joints that I've ever come into where I didn't feel as if they were looking to make money off of me. A gentlemen by the name of Mike helped me first and was beyond friendly. Totally legit guy, I asked if they had a waiting area and he said no but, if I wanted to I could hang out in the shop area and get on his computer if necessary. He doesn't know me from Adam and yet he offered such a wonderful accommodation. While he was helping me a young lady seemed to know him and inquired about something for her bike and he helped her without missing a beat with me. Edit 2 When I see a bad review,THE first thing I do is look @ their OTHER posts,there are ALOT of Salty people,I'm not one, 9 Of 10 most of their posts are the same,Check mine, 3of near 50,even close to negative.10am today,We came in to get 2 new ATV tires put on rims,a fairly quick job.The man working the counter was quite helpful, I also asked about a clamp we wanted,their stock was depleted,sure,it was just Christmas, joked a bit,He said they were slammed, yet another holiday weekend,it would take @ least 1 or 2 Hours,no worries,had errands ,we could stretch it out here's our number,well,My Nephews number,who is not from this area,Maybe that is the why ,I truly want to think not , if So,shoddy way to run a Business,regardless of whether or not you are one of the only games in town. I've been in Business for over 30 years, I get "the General Public" can be like, esp,The Tourists are like,more often than not,this time of year especially is filled with SnowBirds and Dirt Bikers,bringing in revenue to Yuma... which can be sparse @ best. We went and had Breakfast @ one of our Favorite local spots Gotta support our locals so they STAY IN Business,killed an hour,Did Our other Errands,didn't want to head home & come back, work on the 8 has made into a nightmare,esp on these weekends, No call back,about 2.5 hours,We were not upset at all.We get it,Holiday weekend $$ to be made.My nephew went in to ask if they were done yet,10 min.Cool,no waiting area,waited in theTruck,10 min pass 15/20/25 I went back in,No one,Waited a few min,called out Nicely,"Hellooooo?"Nothing,Walked out to the shop door,Stuck My Head in,again,Nicely,Asked the older man,who was working, "How are the Tires coming along " "We are having issues getting them on the rims,they were pretty smashed up,10 minutes" (Unpacked today,OK) "Ok.,we were told that about half an hour ago,no one has come out to let us know of an issue,or that it would take longer." His Response NOT in any way/shape/form, professional. " Well.,You can take your tires / wheels somewhere else then..." " Um OK." returned to the car. Less than 2 min passed,the front desk guy came out with the tires,done. loaded the tires "is the Man I spoke to in the shop the owner?" I gathered he was."He was Pretty Shytty with Me,honestly,Bit surprised he is still IN Biz,if that is the way he treats his Customers,I will be writing a Scathing review." which again *see my other reviews. He didn't seem surprised,We asked what we owed,he told us no charge,still tried to pay,he refused,thanked him,THAT is a GOLDEN employee,I hope He is appreciated,Esp if he has to smooth over things like this,which I got the impression,was NOT a First.They did what looks to be a decent job on the tires,issues & all,won't truly know till we throw them on and ride, hoping no need for an edit. Recently I had a modification concept I wanted to add for my bike, but didn't have the mechanical aptitude to put it together. After discussing it with Mike and Nick, they were able to make it happen for me, and I'm happy as a clam. The cost to have it done was more than reasonable. You'd just be pissing your money away going elsewhere, and here they strive to get the job done right the first time. He even offered me a bit of oil for free to top off my engine because I told him it was right at the lower mark after recent oil change. Truly amazing shop and customer service. I brought in my 2018 BMW R1200RT with a nail in the back tire they plugged it and did an oil change with supplies I brought in. Perhaps when they eventually get around to doing the work, they are merely okay at best, but they do not keep their word. My husband brought our quad in, with a promise that it would be ready in 4 day's. That date and time never happened and three more times they gave me a day when it would be ready and those dates came and went as well, without so much as a call from them. By the 4th time, I became angry with them, and as usual, I had to call them to get an answer. After nearly 3 weeks, they magically found the part they said was needed and it was ready to pick up the next morning. Sadly, the part they claimed was defective and replaced, was not defective and the machine is still having problems... I brought it to KD Cycle and they fixed it right. I will NOT use Performance Motorsports again. read more

Don't take your stuff there. They'll break it then claim ignorance and say they don't know how it could have broken if it was just sitting in their shop and tell you it's your problem. The staff was friendly at first, I'll give them that.. but I took my '99 BMW down there for a tune up because it was riding rough. I parked the bike outside in front of their shop, with the bike handlebars locked to the left, and then left the shop with my keys. A week later I called to check up on it and they hadn't looked at it so the owner, Mike, said he'd check on it right then. A couple minutes later he calls me and says he can't get the key to turn in the ignition, and he was also having trouble getting the key in the ignition. I asked him which key he was using and it was the wrong key so I told him the correct key. He thanked me and hung up. A couple minutes later he called and said he was having trouble with that key. Now, I've been riding this bike at least a couple times a week for the past three months and even rode it to the shop to drop it off. When the bike handlebars are in the locked position you just need to turn them a millimeter clockwise to get the key in the ignition, then both the key and the handlebars can turn to the right to unlock. Not rocket science and this should have been my first sign that they either weren't competent or had messed something up... Anyway, Mike called back a few minutes later and said it was running fine but they'd have to order parts (oil filter, air filter) for the tune-up and fuel valve, which they said was leaking (I'd never seen it leak before I took it to the shop but it definitely does now) and the parts would take a week and half to come in. So I said I'd pick up the bike and bring it back when the parts were in. Well, I picked up the bike which was parked out front with the key in I turned to the auxiliary position. Backed it out and rode it home. On the ride home I noted that the front end was rattling. I thought maybe the windshield was loose. It wasn't loose before. So I get home and cut the engine off and check the front and the plastic holding the screws on the right side was broken. Not happy but shit happens. I'd give them a call. Then I put the kickstand down, turned the handlebars to the left and went to lock it. Turned the key to the locked position took them out, then tested the handlebars, and...they turned... the locking pin just slipped out and the handlebars turned freely. The lock definitely worked before. So I called the shop. Mike answered and said he didn't know how that could happen but to bring it back after his lunch break and he could check it out.after. So I brought it back an hour later. He looked at it and said that he didn't understand how it was his problem. He said, "Well, you didn't bring it down here for that (broken lock) so I don't know how that's our problem" and "all we did was use your key, I don't understand how that could happen", and the classic line "well, how did we break it? How could we have broken it if it was just sitting at our shop?" I don't know, Mike, let me check my security feed from the cameras I keep at your shop to find out exactly how you broke my bike...seriously? And it wasn't just sitting there. You admitted that your employee moved it from the front to the back (which would have required getting the handle bars unlocked (either properly or improperly/breaking it) then you moved it from the back to the front. Mike kept denying he knew how it could have happened, that it's an older bike and things just break, and asking me how I think it broke. I said, "I don't know how it broke. I'm not a f***ing mechanic! But it worked when I dropped it off, and things like locks don't just disintegrate when sitting around, so someone did something to break it, here, at your shop". Mike didn't like this answer and told me to take my bike and leave. He said, you didn't even bring it her for that (the lock) so I don't see how that's my problem. So according to that logic, if I bring my car down for a broken mirror, and you pop my tire at your shop, you don't think the tire is your responsibility because it wasn't broken and wasn't the reason I brought it to your shop?? Mike, you're a moron and a crook. People, avoid this dipshit's shop. read more

I highly recommend these guys. I did work on the cylinder head of my quad, and it was the first time I worked on an ATV engine. What I couldn't do I asked them to do so. The price was very reasonable. After that I had a few questions and they answered everything without the "you would have to bring it in" response other bike shops give you. My quad runs like new and it doesn't hassle to start. read more
