It's been a minute or so since I've been in to the garage. I had a fuel pump go bad in my Dodge truck and they replaced it for a very fair price. Complete confidence in these guys. read more

Absolutely NONE better than what this business gives you--up front, honest, great prices and tells you everything. Complete from start to finish wether it is motorcycle related or vehicle. Had hot air blowing from the ac and completely fixed in less than 1 hour---outstanding service. read more

Excellent communication. Quick work and turnaround. Work was clean. Andy did exactly what he said he'd do. I will return to him for all of my work. I just wish my Harley was out here so that he could Stage 2 or 3 it. read more

I had put a less than flattering review up, Andy did address my issues and is making it right. I'm very impressed he stepped up and is taking care of my situation. 5 stars for sure!!! Thank you, Mary read more

We're originally from Santa Monica and have a mechanic there that we've used for several years. We needed some work done on our 2000 Lexus ES300 and had planned on driving back to SM from Palm Springs to get the work done. However we got some referrals from the Nextdoor app and were given Andy's name at The Garage so we decided to have the work done locally. We are so happy that we made that decision. Fair prices; honest and good work. There's not much you can ask for and that's what we got from Andy. We plan on moving back to Santa Monica at some point but will happily drive back here to Palm Springs if we ever need any more work done on our car. We are that happy with the work! read more

Andy has been my go to mechanic for many years. Always straight forward and honest. And top notch work. I won't go anywhere else.

For me, trust is earned through honesty and integrity in actions. "The Garage", and Andy whom I dealt with there, have earned my trust. My transmission went out, pulling into town one recent evening. I was pretty sure it was a Transmission issue from the way the truck was misbehaving -naturally dollar signs flashed before my eyes and fear gripped me. Not being familiar with too many Garages in the area, I checked Yelp. The reviews for this place sounded good so I called and left a message late that evening. My phone call was returned promptly the next morning by Andy, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the workings of the transmission, and the overall mechanics of the truck I drive. He did not immediately, steer down the road of costly repair, but rather suggested that the problem could be one of several other, not as costly repairs. I brought the truck in, and he said he would be able to check it out the next day, and would call to advise. Just like he said, he did check it out the next day, and called to advise. Although the problem did not turn out to be the least expensive possibility, it was a much less costly repair than what it could have been. In diagnosing and correcting the problem Andy called anytime there was a development and thoroughly explained what was going on, as well as an estimated cost and time for the repair. He has the knowledge and experience to diagnose, and repair major problems like a transmission. But also they have the honesty and integrity to NOT do unnecessary costly repairs. They fixed what was wrong for a fair price, in a timely manner, and kept me fully informed along the way. They also advised me of any issues that may become problems in the future. They do everything from tires and oil changes, right up to transmissions, They also work on American Motorcycles. The truck seems to drive great now, and i am glad that I have a place to go for repairs, that i feel safe trusting, that does quality work at a fair price. read more

This guys is amazing. I made some mistakes doing my own brakes and he was absolutely the perfect person to help me. The service was fast, straight to the point, and priced fantastic. I will 100% return to this shop for any of my needs when it comes to my cars or bikes. read more

I had my Harley and car serviced here. No issues. I trust Andy and his knowledge. Honest and trustworthy.

Andy did excellent work replacing the blown engine in my 2017 Wrangler Sport. He even tried to help me find a deal on an engine. I ended up getting one from Mopar. Engine was delivered straight to Andy and he took care of the rest, taking his time to make sure everything was done right. 6 months later and my Jeep is still running better than when I bought it. I'm really glad Andy was recommended to me and his work speaks for itself. Straight shooter, no bs and a good dude! read more

Great place. Great service. Wish I had found them years ago. Attention to detail and half the price I was quoted by the local Harley dealership for a new starter. read more

My family was referred to this shop by a family friend and we've been coming to this shop ever since, he knows what's he's doing and he's really honest with his customers read more

When you have a Harley and you need service you have two choices dealership or independent shop. After the warranty ends my choice is a quality independent shop and I've the place it's The Garage. Not a huge selection of repair shops in the valley. This place is close by, service is great..Andy listened to my concerns.Did the repairs/service as we discussed. Didn't try to sell me services I didn't need (much like dealerships). Checked all my systems, advised me of matters which require a dealership visit. Bike riders and bike club members give this establishment a visit you won't be disappointed. Oh he also works on cars as well and I'm they will get the same attention. read more

Andy is the man! In my experience it is difficult to find a car shop with integrity and honesty as core values. My car's a/c compressor needed to be changed, Andy took the time to explain what needed to be done without trying to make me change unnecessary parts. The price was right and the job was well done in no time! I was literally quoted 3 times more in another shop for the same job. Definitely recommend over any shop in the area! read more

My 2002 Toyota Sienna works amazingly well after he made some repairs. The car drives better than ever and I definitely will be a customer for life. I had previously brought the car to other people in San Diego and they couldn't figure out and fix the issues, but Andy did it in a couple days. read more

They state they are experts but refuse to work on a basic 150cc bike since it is Chinese. They say they can't get parts. Bogus! The majority of motorbikes in the world are produced in China. They fill our urban streets. Getting parts for a GY6 engine is as easy as going on Amazon. If they can't work on a basic combustion engine, which is AutoMech 101 in high school, what can they do? read more

i've taken my harley twice and was very satisfied with the service. Andy was recommended by other friends with Harleys. He made a special trip on a Saturday to his office so I could pick up my bike. Nice people. read more

Have taken my Silverado in a couple of times. Gets work done quick with fair prices. He takes the time to explain the problem and how to fix it. He knows his stuff and gets the job done. I trust the owner, Andy Rotter, to take care of all my vehicles, from my 2000 F350 diesel truck, my wife's 1999 classic Camaro, and my 2007 Harley Davidson Road King. I have recommended Andy to my neighbors, and he has taken care of us all, at very fair pricing, and with very prompt service. 100% endorsement for this car and motorcycle shop. read more

This is an honest, clean and "not the norm repair shop". I have had my Harley worked on there and most recentley my F250. Without going into all the details- the repair was much less than I expected AND it was an issue(s) that they could have easily "up-charged" and I would have been none the wiser. THANKS- I will recommend this place to anyone. read more

luckily, we havent needed this place for Harley repair. But my Saturn Vue is running nicely after taking it to Andy. Honest, no add-on approach. He isolated the problem, fixed it and didnt try to add onother costs. i would surely trust the Garage again! read more

Andy was great! Fair prices, reasonable turn around time, excellent diagnostician. My car is fixed!!

Arrived in town on Sunday evening with a misfiring Electraglide, oh no! And the Harley Davidson dealership is closed until tuesday! No worries, yelp listed The garage and Andy as good ressources. As soon as I arrived at his shop, Andy dropped whatever he was doing and took the bike for a drive, when he came back he put it on the computer to diagnose the error codes but doing so he found an electric cable real loose, that was just the issue, plugged that back in real good and the baby was purring like a kitten again! Andy took it back on a test drive again, and I was good to go. Was charged only $60 for his time and efforts, a bargain I think... highly recommended. read more

Finally an Honest Shop in the Valley, Fair prices and they stand behind their work. I had a tire changed and also repaired on my bike. I will be taking all my bikes there from now on. Andy is the best !!! read more

Just went to Andy for a 90,000 mile service on my Toyota and I couldn't be more pleased. Before doing anything, he inspected the car thoroughly and offered sound recommendations at prices that I think are very, very good. There was no hard sell, no surprises or cheap tricks to run up the bill. The car drives better than ever and I definitely will be a customer for life. read more

1st They have moved to 668 S Eugene Rd Palm Springs Ca 92264. I recently moved from Dallas to Palm Desert. In Sweetwater Tx I lost the 3rd and 4th gears in my Toyota truck 5 speed. It was a challenge driving to Palm Desert. Andy fixed my truck for a very sweet price. I was delighted. Recently I needed a repair to my wheel. Andy had me email him a picture of the wheel to him so he could order the correct parts to fix my truck. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I highly recommend him and hope Yelp corrects his address. A good reliable mechanic is difficult to find in todays world. read more

Please be sure to give The Garage a call should you ever have an automotive need with your vehicle. Andy Rotter (pronounced like "Rotor") is a highly competent and trustworthy mechanic. He is OUTSTANDING at diagnosing challenging issues that most other mechanics miss. In addition to working on Motorcycles, Andy is just as adept with automotive issues. He has performed many high quality and LASTING repairs on our vehicles over the years, covering just about every single automotive system imaginable. Often, mechanics have an undeserved reputation for ripping people off or overcharging for repairs. Andy's shop is very professionally run and you are getting the best mechanical service available at a really great value, with repairs that are done CORRECTLY. I have been using Andy for 5 years and I am so glad that I found his shop. There are many things to be wary of in the desert, but The Garage is not one of them! Go there with confidence and rest easy knowing that your car or motorcycle will get repaired properly. read more

We have a 2000 Lexus RX300. The engine was making noise and Andy found out that the engine either needed to be rebuilt or get a new one. We bought our RX300 used but it was the vehicle we wanted. Not having paid much for it with 160k miles already. So we knew going into the project would be a cost. The repair would be probably more than what we paid for the vehicle. However, Andy was straight forward with all options; rebuilt, buy used or new. We opted for rebuilt, Andy had done some work previous for us and he also came highly recommended by the auto body shop. Even though the work did take some time, Andy was thorough and very detailed about his work! We are now extremely pleased and happy that Andy put our machine in top working order; and it will probably run for another 200k miles. Andy went above and beyond any repair shop I have ever dealt with in the valley and give him a "Highly Recommended" for anyone wanting simple tuneup or very complex engine rebuilds. Andy is the guy that can make it happen. Thank you again to The Garage for such great work! read more
