Upon entering, we were greeted with smiles and a "Welcome to Salata's!" Which automatically makes me smile! As I went from station to station, having them build my beautiful salad, I noticed that every station was very tidy as was the whole place. The music was at a low volume, so it wasn't distracting or unpleasant, all which made us decide to sit inside and eat. When I got to our seat, I noticed that we didn't get our bread, but that wasn't a problem, when I asked the gentleman about our bread, he simply smiled and gave us 2 fresh wrapped breads, which was soooo delicious! I visited this location recently and left feeling disappointed. When I asked for carrots, one employee skinny, wearing a bandana rolled her eyes, which made me feel like my request was an inconvenience. Customer service should make guests feel welcome, even when they're asking for additional toppings. I was also concerned about how hot it seemed inside the restaurant. The employee serving chicken appeared to be sweating while working, which made me wonder if the staff have adequate air conditioning or cooling. I felt uncomfortable for the employees and hope management addresses the temperature issue to ensure a better working environment for both staff and customers. I enjoy the food, but the customer service and apparent working conditions during this visit left a negative impression. read more

Across from North Star mall is my favorite Salata location! I make some giant burrito looking wraps and share half. Food is so fresh and filling. The service is really great and efficient. Another night, another bogo salad uber eats delivery, I really gotta stop making a habit of this but btw the convenience, and the curiosity of a diff location and diff protein (I got Greek salmon last night), I couldn't help myself. First observation was the presentation and packaging was the exact same. However; portion of the salad here was MUCH less than last night; barely filled the container. Steak portion was meh'ish again, at a $6.20 up charge, and still cold. With that said it was somehow more tender than the cold slabs of salmon from last night so a def improvement. I'm impressed with the consistency in a sense; fresh greens and fruit bits this time, but overall I'm at a point where I def wouldn't go out of the way to have this. $18+ for a portion this size is just not a great value prop. read more

This is one huge salad bar, with a server making what you want behind a barrier so nobody can cough-on or touch your amazing creation. You have a choice of a wrap or salad, and they have soup options as well. However, If you're prone to indecisiveness, this place can be a little overwhelming. I overdid it on my first visit and wasn't happy with how everything came together, so now I try to go in with a plan. I've been killing it ever since! My go to is Greek salad, but I also like salads with fruit and chicken, and one of these days I'm going to look up my favorite restaurant salads and recreate those at Salata. I could not finish the regular salad. Proteins are and extra up charge, and they're not cheap, so I opted only to add chicken. Otherwise, I would have added more protein. Salata has a tea tap, and the drinks are really excellent. I love their raspberry tea. The manager on site gave me a bit of attitude, but whatever. We all have our moments. I love Salata! They are very reasonable, $10 for a large salad filled up to all the toppings you want, that's a steal! For me, I could eat half and save the half for either later in the day or next day lunch. Today I tried the new pumpkin puff cookie, it has macadamia nuts in it and if you love sweets things this is for you. I personally don't like things overly sweet and this was sweet, also didn't like the macadamia nuts in it, think walnuts would have been a better crunch. Great selection of greens to choose from Let me just make your mouth water. I started with what is called Salada greens tomatoes cucumbers mushrooms and onions. Strawberries pineapple apples banana peppers and mandarins walnuts. I got smoked turkey and herb shrimp as my protein because I couldn't decide on which one so I got both you also get a roll it's multi grain. I'm so full right now and I've only eaten half. I love the build-your-own salad concept and appreciate the variety of toppings available, particularly the proteins (pesto chicken being my favorite). The house-made dressings are also really good, particularly the herb vin. Adding some ingredients like artichoke and avocado will incur a minor extra fee. There's a lack of consistency here I haven't found at other locations though, where some bowls are not as filled as others and some produce is carelessly chopped. Typically they do a great job of having ripe and fresh stuff, I just wish the consistency were a little better. The options are endless as there's variety in lettuce greens, kale, toppings, and dressing. The vegetables are fresh and diverse. Come early because there's a slight delay in the line since everything is customized so well.
