My husband and I made a special trip to Atlantic Station just to visit Salata! I saw an advertisement somewhere for this place & couldn't wait to try it! Well that was yesterday and I wish they were closer. This place has something for everyone and everything was fresh! We had the large salad bowl and it did not disappoint. Loved the teas & lemonades I had peach lemonade & my husband had raspberry lemonade. While we were devouring our salads; they walked around with free cookie samples! Great and unique concept! The cafeteria style atmosphere makes all the items look fresh, appetizing, and easy to decide what toppings you want on your salad. FYI no need to get the large salad, the regular is large enough to feed two people. Also you should get the dressing on the side. I really wanted to love this place but it's just ok. This place replaced the Moes in Atlantic station. The restaurant is brightly lit and staff was very pleasant. I can appreciate a healthier "fast food option" but I wasn't impressed by the flavor of my salad. This place is a salad bar (think cafeteria style). There are two portion sizes ($8 & $7), they also do wraps. The toppings are free and the salad isn't weighed so you can go crazy there. The toppings are all cold and mostly uncooked. The protein options are $3-4. There are also some other add one like artichokes and avocado that can be added on for additional cost. There are different flavors of chicken available. The chicken I had tasted over processed and had a lot of cartilage pieces which I really didn't like. The vinegarette I had tasted good but my salad was drowned in dressing. I can't give this more than two stars because of the staff. I work in the TV industry and have grueling hours, when I go out to lunch it's my time to relax and enjoy the 1/2 hr I'm able to get out. Don't get my wrong, the concept and ingredients are fresh, but I would rather have a mediocre lunch served is by smiling faces. So, I am a huge fan of Salata! I lived in Houston, Chicago, and Dallas prior to moving to The Atlanta area and this was my meal at least four days a week. Now that there are locations in the Atlanta area, of course, I was extremely excited to hear about it. The food is just as wonderful, don't get me wrong, however, I have experienced a lack of the great customer service I was used to receiving at other locations. When I walked in there were no menus or boards with options. The sole prices were located on the glass. After ordering a small salad for 7 dollars (which the worker then proceeded to put the smallest handful of lettuce which did not fill the bowl) I then added a few toppings and quinoa as my protein. The total came out to over ten dollars. I asked about the total and they said protein costs 3 extra dollars. At no point was I ever informed of that prior to ordering, but also I have never been to a salad place that doesn't include one protein. Does anyone eat a salad with just toppings? Unsanitary and Unsafe! The men and women working there use gloved hands to scoop fresh toppings for each salad. I stopped going to Salata a few months ago (Pre-COVID-19) when I noticed that one of the women had a charm bracelet that was actually dangling from her wrist into the cucumbers. I went back a few weeks ago (POST-COVID-19) and she was gone. But today, yet again, there was someone scooping salad toppings with an uncovered bracelet on her wrist, in the food. This was unsanitary before but it is actually unsafe now! Why not require that employees remove their bracelets? Who wants bacteria, etc.. from someone else's jewelry in their food? read more

The whole make your own salad bar is a great concept and this place has great topping options, you can get 4 toppings and a protein on your salad and there are many salad dressing options. You do get charged extra for adding more toppings or for avocado. I'm deducting stars for the overall dining experience, the inside of the establishment isn't anything special and the drink selection is very limited. Despite it being after 8pm the service was terrific and the vegetables were fresh and plentiful. It was a given that my wife would order a small. Great place for a good salad. All sorts of options, including pre-set menu choices. I went with Kale Me Crazy -- it can be hard to make a kale salad interesting, but they did. Great experience. Atlantic station doesn't have amazing food, but this place is good and I will be back. I parked in the purple 3 section at Atlantic Station (2hrs free) and walked across the little park to find this cute, clean salad shop. For $17 I built my own spinach salmon salon, with nuts, dried fruit and avocado. The young lady helping me even let me taste the dressings and mix two together. I loved the herb dressing. Also the bathrooms are clean, the employees greeted everyone, the peach and raspberry lemonades are great, and there outlets all around for chargers. Although the food is fine, the people who serve you the salads just grab the food with their hands even if there is a spoon in the food item. I get strawberries on my salad, and after the server has grabbed cheese and olives and other items I don't want them to then grab a handful of strawberries. They should use the spoons. It's ridiculous that they use their hands to serve the food, even with gloves, because they are mixing all the foods when they do that. Also, I watched one person grab something out of the fridge and they didn't change gloves when they started grabbing our food again. Simply put, it's unsanitary. read more

If I had any criticism, it would be poor communication. They never told me there were size options until I overheard them speaking to each other about how much to charge me. Clean as a whistle. My first impression. Absolutely delicious. My last. In between: The staff were friendly and answered questions enthusiastically. They are obviously very well trained. All food was fresh, really fresh. The selection was broad from lettuces/spinach/kale to veggies and proteins. If one asked for more of an item, the server added more. I sampled the soup because it was gluten free, not expecting it to be so delicious that I would indulge in a cup, too. I make a really good broccoli soup but not that good! Am I impressed? You bet. I've returned three times in ten days, driving out of my way twice to eat at Salata. On one of those visits, I ate a bowl of soup and took my salad to go, as I was on my way out of town. When I arrived at my destination hours later, my salad was still fresh and delicious. My hosts immediately went online to see if there was a Salata in their city. I have been to Salata four times since it opened in Atlantic Station about a month ago. The staff is very friendly, helpful and patient and the food is great. Lots of options for a salad or wrap and just because it's healthy doesn't mean it isn't delicious. It also doesn't mean it's low cal, but you can watch your calories because each item is labeled with calories per serving. I highly recommmend the ginger lime vinaigrette for your salad. The tea tap was a great idea and so much healthier than a soda machine; try mixing a green tea with one of their lemonades. This will definitely be a regular workday spot for me. read more

I work at Atlantic Station so I've been there since the opening of Salata. I love the concept and several selection to cater to your dietary needs. However, Salata seem to have a high turnover and because of this it seem like the new employee are not trained on the value and concept of the Company. It's become very noticeable that the employees play around with the options while putting it in the bowl to make it appear they are fulling up the bowl. This concept really turns me off. It looks as though the food is being played with. Also, some of the workers are getting sloppy with handling the toppings. The environment is no longer clean as when it first opened Also, there are people who do not care too much for all the topping in this case more salad should be given. So yes, it's a must try and it's worth it. However, management need to provide better direction to its employees on the Company concept and values read more

I came to Salata in hopes of finally finding an Atlanta equivalent of Sweetgreen. Unfortunately I was not impressed. The ingredients I wanted (radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes) were chopped massively which is always a bummer in salads for me. They spoon a massive ladel-ful of dressing onto the salad without asking how much dressing you prefer. Not to mention when I said I was dining in and not taking to go, I was literally handed the humongous metal mixing bowl to eat out of instead of the salad being transferred to a nicer dine-in bowl. Grabbed a take out salad here for lunch today. Very impressed by the concept and space. Staff was very friendly and service was quick even though it was pretty crowded. I have to agree with one other Yelp reviewer. The good: - It is quick and easy to get lunch here. - $8 for a large salad is not bad. You just get hit with an expensive salad if you get all the extra items that are a bit pricey, but what do you expect? They have a business to run and I get it. -They have enough people usually to tend the line when it is busy during lunch so you aren't just standing there forever. -Generally clean eating area. The bad: -The management is not the best. Although they have enough people to tend to guests, a lot of times they are just standing around and doing whatever they choose. No line but dining room is dirty and they don't bother to clean it and are just going in and out of the restaurant. -Another thing that bothers me is that they are in "uniform" but it is clear that they do not care about how they look because the shirts are always dirty and I think they should not be allowed to wear flip flops/sandals to work, especially with no socks! They should be wearing restaurant shoes. -The staff just treats this as "chill" job with friends and do what they want. There is always one guy there hanging out and I get it, you want to be friends with co-workers but you are there to work and on the clock. I just think they need some training. There is obviously things they can be doing and not just messing around. Overall a good place to have lunch. Just think the management/staff could use a little work. read more

I have ordered Salata using Foodsby which is a service allowing for online order and delivery to businesses. I have ordered several times. While the salad has been good - the vegan ranch dressing is amazing (and I'm not vegan) - the cucumber quality the last couple of times has not been good. I love cucumbers and always order on salads, but I have had to pick them out and throw away the last few times. They had started to go translucent and slimy which I've seen happen if they are cut and get too cold or ironically if they sit in a salad with cheese in it overnight. The rest of the salad is great. But today I didn't get my multigrain croissant with it - to those of you who know, that is tragic because it is so good. It was on the order, but not in the bag that was stapled presumably at the Salata location. Instead, I got extra dressing which I did not need. :( Salata: please pay attention to these details. Salata just opened this week and I have already been twice! The salad options are endless and you could have a completely different meal each time. The dressings are all homemade and the "tea bar" is really great with delicious fresh teas. If you don't like salads you can make it a wrap or grab a yummy soup. Salad is good and the staff is super friendly. However, the person who serves the salad at the bar, is reaching into the bowl with plastic gloves to extract the food to put into my bowl. Even though he is wearing plastic gloves, he is touching All of the food. This cross contaminate one food product with another. For example, if he grabs strawberries, then nuts, then if he touches another client food, they could have a nut allergy. Then he touches the canisters with the same gloves, drops the food into my bowl, then helps another customer with the same gloves. In between those seconds, he could possibly touch his pants or his skin with those same gloves, then stick his glove hands back into another bowl to grab and drop into someone else bowl. There is several bowls that has serving spoons in them...I wish they put serving spoons in ALL of the food bowls instead of having the server grabbing the food with his "gloves". read more
