We were so excited to try this place because the menu looked amazing with the variety of pupusa options. We ordered a few different things and there were hits and misses. The iced horchata latte is so good - perfect for a hot day. I ordered the classic pupusa with cheese and black beans - delicious. Perfect cheese to bean ratio. I also had the green chicken mole, which unfortunately I didn't enjoy as much. Not enough chicken and very dry - definitely needed more of the green mole sauce in it. I'm someone who loves topping my pupusa with the red salsa and curtido. They don't give enough at all. The size of the curtido is what I use for each bite, and the salsa was much thicker than what I'm used to. The fried plantains though, melt in your mouth goodness! I could eat a plate of those. There is no indoor sitting area, just a few tables outside which is shared with another food window next door.

First time visiting this spot. I was on a morning run for work and was hungry for breakfast. This spot is within the MET Lofts. The ice coffee and Shellie's sandwich was what I order and let me say they both hit the spot. I'll def be visiting again. Perfect spot for lunch and even dinner.

I found this place while looking for another restaurant. I have always wanted to try pupusas and Arepas so I am still learning the difference but the food was good. I am not a huge fan of cornmeal, which is what the pupusa dough was made of but the salsa and pickled slaw made it even more delicious. I was not a fan of the plantains because I am used to the Caribbean style of plantains. I definitely think this place is worth a try for people who like Pupusas and want to try something new. The service was quick and pleasant.

I discovered this gem while doing professional development at West End Academy and did a search for local places to support. Upon discovering their site, I gave them a try as I love trying all types of food and had honestly never had pupusas before. This ended up being a fantastic discover. The pros: 1. Easy to to order and pickup. They do everything from their own site. You're can add and delete items with ease. You're provided with a finishing/pick-up time. You're then sent a text reminding you of your order and completion time. Finally, you get a text informing you that your food is ready. 2. The place is easy to find as it's right off of Abernathy in a converted district. It's the first business as you drive in and easy to walk to. They have a window where you can pick up your order and either eat at one of their tables or back at your work/home. 3. The food receives my coveted "FFFF" rating for being fresh, fantastic, flavorful, and friendly. This is a good thing. 4. The service was quick and friendly, just as a person would want when they order pick-up. Cons: 1. None at all. If you get lost, why aren't you using Google Maps to find the place. Parking is plentiful and the food is fresh and flavorful. This is a top tier place in my opinion. Remember to support your local places and avoid those big chains that really aren't good at all. Always, and I mean always, leave a tip even if you're picking up your order.

Very Authentic and fresh. I come here at least once a week now! Highly recommend. Lots of parking available and never more than a 20 min wait for my order

The best coffee in all of Atlanta. Their food is bomb too. Everything!! Literally our favorite hidden gem of Atlanta! Go!

Amazing pupusas, friendly staff, just a little overpriced for the pupusas but they make up for it with taste and customer service.

This food is way overpriced for what you get and not authentic in any way. I don't think they will last.

Met a close friend here for the pupusas and was blown away at the food quality and love that goes into every bite.

I've had a million pupusas and these were dry and the dough wasn't right - where's the cheese?!…read more Pupusas are one of my favorite foods from El Salvador. I've had them in Los Angeles and Richmond Virginia where they have the largest populations outside of El Salvador, yeah I know El Salvador the country is tiny, but that's about 7 million people plus. This is the second time I've eaten here and disappointed, wish they would put more cheese and cook the dough more. As for COVID risk assessment. 7 or 10. Day labors don't like to wear mask and they are not rejecting folks due to the economical instability of the pandemic. Maybe next time I'll try the soup? If they can't make that right, they should consider them self a Salvadorian restaurant.

I have been trying to find a Salvadoran restaurant with good pupusas. El Volcán is family owned…read morewhich is great to support something local and authentic Latino. Unfortunately, the pupusas are small for what you pay for and not the best, they are just ok. However, it settles any craving since Salvadoran restaurants are limited in this area. I ordered the traditional dish with the tamale, chicharrón and yucca. The yucca was good, the tamale was ok and chicharrón was as expected. Nothing amazing. The pupusas lacked loroco. I could barely taste it. The revuelto pupusa was good. My husband's garlic shrimp with rice was good as well. The prices were average, pupusa price was a little expensive for the small pupusa you got. Overall, this place was ok.
