Jaime deserves to be recognized! I came into Salata at Atlantic Station today during what looked like an incredibly busy rush, and I have to take a moment to recognize Jaime. I watched the team working hard to keep up with a flood of to-go orders and customers, and through all of it, Jaime was absolutely exceptional. He was upbeat, genuinely friendly, professional, incredibly efficient, and completely unbothered by the chaos around him. His energy was contagious. What impressed me most was that, even while moving quickly and taking care of everyone, he still took a moment to make my interaction feel personal. That kind of customer service is rare. You can tell when someone is simply doing their job versus when someone genuinely cares about the experience they're creating for people. Jaime genuinely cares. At one point, Jaime mentioned that he was new to the company. I was honestly shocked because I assumed he was a manager. The way he carried himself, communicated with customers, and handled the pressure was that impressive. Salata, someone in corporate needs to know about this guy. Jaime is a true representation of the kind of employee every company hopes to have. He deserves to be recognized, celebrated, and, in my opinion, seriously considered for a raise or promotion. read more

I had an opportunity to eat at one of my favorite salad places, Salata, during my lunch break today. Bill Kennedy, Atlanta. Welp... most of the salad ingredients were actually available, which normally isn't the case after 6:00 p.m. Most times they are out of the popular ones which is al always disappointing. However, today's experience--and my experience last night--was very different. I left yesterday because of the flies. There were so many flies flying around the salad toppings. I asked one of the staff members what was going on, and he simply shook his head. I really love Salata and have always enjoyed coming here, but this is concerning. Flies around exposed food are not something customers should have to encounter, and it definitely takes away from the experience. I'm hoping management sees this and takes it seriously. I really want to continue supporting one of my favorite places, but you guys have got to do better. read more

I was in Atlantic Station and looking for a quick meal on a Sunday. We came upon Salata and it did not look busy so we thought we would give it a try. I have been to several other salad, places where you choose your ingredients; however this one was a little different because you could add as many of the veggies, and fruits as you wanted. You did pay extra for the protein. I chose a small salad with a mixed green base and loaded it up with my favorite toppings. They also had a huge selection of 10+ salad dressings to choose from which was also a bonus. Some were even low-fat and sugar-free. The girl at the counter was super helpful. She made 2 fresh, heaping salads for us. They have soft drinks and waters that you can grab and go. They also had a fairly large amount of seating both inside and out. Our salads were yummy! Very glad we got small because they were definitely bountiful servings! The only minor complaint I had was that there were no signs displaying pricing anywhere that we noticed. (Pricing seemed comparable to other create your own salad joints.) With all the tempting restaurants and food vendors in Atlantic Station it's nice to know a healthy option is available. The Atlantic Station location is always immaculately clean and is bright and welcoming when you enter. Service can vary from time to time, but is normally adequate to get you through the line with some efficiency. I have heard about this place but never went. I was in Atlantic Station recently, and I wanted a salad, so I decided to give them a try. They have a huge salad bar with plenty of options. Various lettuces, wraps, veggies, fruit, nuts, cheese, pasta, and protein to choose from. Lemonades and bottled beverages are available as well. Quality and quantity were impressive, in my opinion. I have not been this impressed with a salad bar in a very long time. I went to Salata with my teammates for a workday lunch and got the large size. They have great options and it appears as though you are getting optimal ingredients for your salad. I filled mine with so many ingredients but they still filled it and closed it up for me. I couldn't finish it and had to take it back to my hotel. They even threw in a free croissant, which is a sweet touch. I felt so wholesome and healthy afterwards. Customer service here is horrible. I came in for my first time today. Ask the lady who made my salad if I could get half-and-half for my protein, she said yes so I did. I went to check out and the the man at the front I'm assuming he was the manager said that I would have to pay for both portions of meat because one of them were more expensive than the other. So I told him I would just pay for the more expensive one since I got half portions he said I can't do that he would just give me a full portion of the more expensive one - which makes no sense! So instead of letting me pay for the more expensive one for my initial salad due to the miscommunication of his worker. He decided to waste the whole salad throws it away and says that he'll have her remake my salad with just the one meat. But it gets worse. The line is picking up at this point and she is busy so he goes back with someone he's training and instead of starting my salad again he sits there and he waits talking to the person that he's training and is asking me to wait when I've already paid for my food and instead of immediately remaking my salad he makes me wait. He then has the person who's training for her first day make my salad and asked me to bear with her and then he proceeds to help the people in the line behind me making their salads, faster he could've just remade my salad immediately handed it to me and I could've left. He wasn't nice about it. He wasn't accommodating at all and his customer service sucks and to make me pay to waste food & then make me wait again longer than necessary for my food is crazy. I ordered a full-size Greek salad only. I was always told by my coworkers not to order online from here cause they make the worst salads when you order online. For $17 this was absolutely a joke!!! The food is fresh, the crew is wearing masks and relatively efficient, and other than a few packaging mishaps, I've never had a bad experience there. That being said, I have to give it a 3.5 (I'm rounding up to a 4) based on my experience today. When I went today around 1pm, they were out of a lot of basics. Also, I paid $14 for my SMALL salad, which I get that the ingredients are fresh and all,but that's pricey. Additionally, the silverware is not kept at the checkout counter, and I didn't know that. So, I walked away with a salad and no way to eat it at my office. I was forced to go to another local store to buy something just to be able to get a fork. They should have silverware closer to the checkout or at least remind people where they can get it. Or for a to go order, they should include it in the bag! read more

Very disappointed . I ordered a regular salad for lunch and upon ordering the staff member walking thru the salad bar was on her air pods the entire time having a full on conversation with someone. What can I say, has customer service become a lost cause? She was so involved in her conversation that she didn't even ask if I wanted the dressing on the side and poured 2 large scoops on my salad. If it's a salad you want this will be your must go to place. I had heard about Salata from my cousin and was happy she brought me here from the airport. This is not like any other salad place you have ever been to. First you pick the size bowl you want. The small is quite large. The large would be more than enough for 2 people in my eyes. Maybe even a family if used as a side dish. Then you start by picking your greens. If it is green they have it. Romain, spring mix, kale, spinach. You name it, they have it. You get as much as you want of anything as long as it fits in the bowl. Now the fun really starts. There are more toppings than you can imagine. It starts with all the regulars...tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots. They also have beets, jicama, radishes, green onions, hard boiled eggs...way too many to list. Again you get as much as you want of as many topping as you want as long as they fit in your bowl. (The kids portion only allows you 4 toppings) Then you get to pick a cheese topping. There must have been at least 6 different cheeses. Maybe more! Now comes the protein. This was a $4 upcharge. There were your regulars like chicken or salmon but numerous other choices as well. I had the seafood medley. It was delicious. They offer different lemonade drinks and ice teas on tap. Salata gets 5 stars from me for food and service, but the decor and ambiance was a bit cold and sparse. I would definitely come back if in the area. Very clean and aesthetically pleasing restaurant. I was greeted as soon as I entered the restaurant. I did not plan to eat here. My friend decided to come here after finding out that the pho restaurant next door does not have a vegetarian broth. She had almost completed her order at Salata when I decided that all the veggies looked too good to be passed up. I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. I ordered the small and the portion was very generous. It did not feel like a small salad. You get unlimited toppings (excluding meats and meat alternatives). There are so many options, I was in veggie heaven. They even have jicama. Everything appeared and tasted fresh. I love how they label everything for allergen purposes also. This is my second time trying Salata, and it will be my last. I've tried once before at a different location, and the most recent at Atlantic Station. The first red flag was that no one was inside. It was raining and it was early in the week, so I overlooked that. The salad options were plentiful--lots of bases, proteins, and toppings. I can't remember exactly what I got, but I know for sure that I had pesto chicken and the sun dried tomato dressing on a mixed greens base and a white chocolate cookie. The cookie was good but small. The salad was soooo salty and the lettuce was soggy. Also, I went to sit outside, and all the tables were covered in bird poop. Overall, the restaurant gave me an icky feeling, especially after looking at the tables. I paid 17 dollars for this meal, which is too expensive for the salad to not be A1. There are plenty of options close by that are just as healthy and equally (if not better) priced. read more

Salata, "the next generation salad bar," opened in the old Moe's Southwest Grill space in Atlantic Station on September 21, 2017. This is the first Georgia location for the chain which plans to open several more stores in metro Atlanta. The company is based in Houston with numerous locations in Texas and other states. In Midtown Atlanta, Salata competes directly against restaurants like Fresh to Order, Newk's, and Upbeet. This restaurant rates somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. I like it. I love salads and I like that Atlantic Station has a healthy fast-casual option like this (there used to be one - remember Doc Green's?). Unlike other healthy eateries, Salata only sells custom salads. They don't offer any pre-made salads or have any pre-set ingredient combinations on the menu. Every salad is created fresh to each customer's specifications. You can think of it like the salad bar at Whole Foods except instead of you grabbing the ingredients yourself, the Salata staff does it for you. If you're picky about the amount of certain ingredients or dressings, you'll have to let the staff know precisely how much of a certain ingredient or dressing you want. The menu is simple. A regular-sized salad, which is large, costs $8 (tax included). You can choose as many ingredients as can fit in the bowl. Small salads and wraps (also customized) are $7 each. A couple ingredients, like avocado and artichoke hearts, cost extra ($1 each) as do proteins ($3-4 each). I've tried several of the dressings and they're all generally pretty good. If you like vinaigrettes, I recommend the ginger lime vinaigrette (Asian-tasting) and the fresh herb vinaigrette (light and flavorful). If dining in, your salad is served in the same metal bowl that the ingredients are assembled and mixed in. Proteins are served cold and either mixed into the salad or whole (e.g. you can have your salmon fillet mixed into your salad or have the fillet served whole atop the salad). Overall, I've found the regular-sized salads to be filling and satisfactory and the vegetable (and fruit) ingredients fresh; however, the proteins leave something to be desired. They're not the best in terms of taste and appetizing factor. Beverages at the all-you-can-drink self-serve "Tea Tap" include: - Raspberry lemonade - Peach lemonade - Prickly pear lemonade - Sweetened black tea - Tropical green tea - Black china tea I've tried the raspberry, peach, and prickly pear lemonades and the tropical green tea and they're fine. The Salata at Peachtree Center is great . Their customer service is top tier. I ordered a salad online on Friday and when I got back to the office I realized they added a topping I didn't ask for and left off a topping I did request. I called the store to let them know about my disappointment . I spoke to the manager who was very pleasant and let me know to come back on Monday and he would make up for the error. I came back today. I was greeted warmly by the manager and he fixed my salad himself. I will definitely come back many more times and they have gained a loyal customer. read more

I usually think about what dressing I want and then pick the toppings that would go well with it. So I do recommend that you learn the dressings they have first. Protein wise I like shrimp, seafood mix, smoked turkey, and pesto chicken. This may be a tip or may be a weird thing I like to do...is to ask for combining two dressings. The salad was fresh and all of the ingredients were fresh. The best part is , they let you add as many toppings as you want for free. Protein is extra. I want to come back and try all of the other protein options. The second time I came back, I had the same salad but I added the crab. Took my salad to a whole other level. I will continue to eat here often! I love this place. I want to try out some of the other protein and topping options. The price is pretty reasonable. I love Salata. Huge fan of the Lemon Vinaigrette. When I moved here from Houston I missed it so much and once I learned that one was opening in Atlantic Station I was so excited! We have been coming about twice per week since they opened and were some of the very first customers. As time has gone on, we have noticed a huge decline in ingredient freshness, service and a lot of cross-contamination between ingredients. It's very frustrating and we are very sad to have experienced this. It really seems like training for employees isn't prioritized. Just as we sat down to eat here tonight, someone threw up in the middle of the restaurant multiple times right in front of us and we completely lost our appetites. I know it's not Salata's fault, but it was the final bad luck/last straw for us. You've lost two very loyal customers. I still continue to go to Salata when in Houston and have had much better, cleaner and friendly experience at every Texas location I've ever been to.
