I had to stand there waiting for (and staring at) my completely ready-to-go salad because the guy in front of me was waiting for his sandwich. That didn't make sense. Just let me pay! You're in an airport so you really need to be efficiently organized for hangry/rushed travelers! My salad was fine, but they dumped way too much dressing on it. If you are looking for healthy this is the place...great selection of salads and sandwiches. I am glad to see a place like this in an airport...I am so tired of fried stuff. While I was looking at the case a frantic woman came here and it sounded like an emergency. They calmly brushed her off towards the courtesy phone. I jumped in to clarify that we might have a medical emergency. The young girl behind the counter now decided to go get help. Some lady was sick in the bathroom. Back to my order. I've been to many saladworks, and my experiences have been pretty good. This however, was not a pretty-good-experience. This saladworks is located in the Philadelphia International Airport...so beggars can't be choosers I understand that. Being in an airport is equivalent to being in a baseball game or amusement park -inflated price/crappy food options. There wasn't a lot of options located in terminal A. This seemed to be the only non-greasy fried option. I got a regular turkey sandwich. I asked them to put mustard (they don't have spicy mustard), and they said they don't put mustard on! I would have to do it myself from mustard packets. I don't know if they don't like "contaminating" their knives with mustard....i could see that being a problem with say...peanut butter (for those poor souls with a peanut allergy). But really, no mustard? It's a standard condiment. They don't have a knife dedicated to mustard? To make things worse, I then had to mustard up my sandwich on my tiny airplane table. Fail. read more

The salads here are better than most airport options. I particularly liked the Buffalo Blue salad, with lots of Buffalo chicken and bleu cheese. There are lots of preset combinations, or you can create your own. The pricing can get high if you choose too many toppings, so next time I'll stick with a suggested salad. read more

This place is so bad it should be indirectly cited for contributing to America's obesity epidemic. Their salads are so deplorable, customers have no recourse but to visit the myriad pizza and cheesesteak chains that litter Philadelphia's international airport. The only saving grace is that their greens, such as baby spinach, can be reasonably fresh earlier in the day. Everything else is obviously frozen. In fact, my avocado and white beans were so frozen that they were not yet quite thawed, so borderline dangerous to the teeth! Since everything is so obviously not fresh, the tastiest component of the meal is the salad dressing, which is copious and loaded in fats and oils. On a related note, they weren't able to toss my salad with dressing, because it was "difficult" to do with a spring mix. You'd think a restaurant called Saladworks offering nothing but salad would have mastered the whole mixing-in-the-dressing feat. Finally, if you go with create-your-own salad, be prepared for workers to act as though you are personally paining them by going over the 5-topping limit.
