Welp, I found my latest food obsession. Where have I been all this time? Salad n go is so good! I got the Cobb today and the Buffalo chicken last time. Been so impressed the few times I've gone. I love how affordable it is. I also love they have separate drive thru lane for mobile pick up! I was literally in and out within a minute today! I can't wait to go back for breakfast and try a wrap. I love simple yet customizable places! I added a few extras to my salad and it's so good. I can't get over how greatly priced it is. The food is good, most of the time. The portions are not consistent at all, sometimes messy. The main thing is that the Glendale location off of Thunderbird has really gone downhill the last few months. Ingredients changed, (not as good as before) the staffing is terrible with waits during breakfast and lunch sometimes 20min before getting to the speaker to order. The old owners sold Salad and Go (also own angies grill) to private equity (shame on them) and now it all makes sense. The breakfast burritos used to be 4 bucks and it was a solid deal and priced right. I used to get 3 for $15-$16. The last time I went, (end of April 2026) they raised the price to 9 bucks and call it the BIG AZ burrito or something like that. The burritos are EXACTLY the same size as before, absolutely not worth 9 bucks anymore. I used to go 4-5x a week for lunch and breakfast, I now got 1-2 if that. Private equity ruins everything. They'll lower quality, increase prices, saddle the biz with debt, then sell off the locations and shareholders are happy. Rinse and Repeat. I don't know what it is about salad & go, but no matter what they always manage to forget the avocado on salads that come with avocado, not only at this location but at other locations too. Extremely disappointing when you drive 25 minutes to this salad & go and find out they forgot the best part when you get home. I got the green goddess salad which comes with avocado and they forgot it. I usually love salad & go but it's really frustrating when they mess it up and you don't realize it until it's too late. Food and value is great. My mobile order was 25 mins late today though. They are usually a few mins behind or tell me the soup is not made yet which I'm always understanding of. However, the staff really only prioritized regular drive through. I would not recommend mobile orders. The girl at the window was even talking bad about me today after I asked if I should park... but unfortunately my window was down and I overheard her conversation. All the workers here are incompetent. They can't get simple orders correct. I've only been to this location maybe 2-3 times and every single damn time they have messed up the order. I usually like salad and go but I got a jalapeño chicken wrap from this location and there was a tightly crumpled up receipt or sticker or something that i unfortunately got in a bite and I was so disturbed that I then threw up the previous half of the wrap I ate. The food is fresh at this location, however I've visited twice and both times ordered ahead and still waited more than 20 minutes extra in the mobile line. We watched 5 cars in the drive thru line order and still leave before us. I asked the employee about the hold up, her explanation was that the sweet potatoes and eggs were running low, which still didn't explain why we waited a total of 40 minutes for the food. OMG, seriously for the money this place makes phenonimal salads! WOW... the dressings are so good. The chicken so fresh and the flavors are multi-layered and complex. I love the crisp lettuce. It's refreshing. I have had the Mediterrean and the Thai salad and I was shocked at how big they were and they were only like $7.00! The Cucumber lemonaid was so good! I loved it! They offer healthy food, quick service at a drive through. This place is innovative. When I come to Phoenix on vacation we eat here about 3 times a week. Also, I appreciate that they post their calories on everything! I think that is very thoughtful. I highly recommend going here for their salads!! I think they are better than panera! My 4 star is only because I really didn't like the breakfast burrito. I am wondering what is exactly in it? It was way tooooo cheesy. I felt the texture of the eggs were different. I like to eat here, they are nice people. I know they mean well and I know good help is hard to find. It's just that my order is so inconsistent depending on who makes it. I know they mean well. I've always loved salad and go, tasty healthy food for a good price and fast! But, 3 stars bcuz I went to get a traditional burrito with no bacon, it's a egg burrito with some potatoes. Normally it's so freaking good but this time, potatoes were spicy, and it was a potato burrito with a sprinkle of egg. I was so disappointed. I didn't get any egg until the very bottom of my burrito. I suggest telling the workers to spread out better and remind them of the portions cuz there was one single egg in that entire burrito. read more

I love this concept. however originally, I was so disappointed because the signs only said they salads were mixed greens It wasn't until today that I asked if I could pick my own lettuce and they said yes, I could have a choice. Next time, that's what I'm gonna do I just can't stand field greens ( mixed greens). or anything resembling a dandelion. I spent my summers on a farm. Those beat tops and carrot top and dandelion crap was the garbage that we left behind after the veggies were picked. I know it's just a mental block but I just can't eat it. Two stars for the lemonade being amazing the Prickly Pear flavor being just YUM! The food on the other hand...... if it's not a salad I wouldn't recommend this place for breakfast burritos or it's corn chowder soup. The burritos tasted like the eggs came from powder they definitely weren't fresh eggs just a synthetic version that was a bit rubbery. The burritos all fell apart within the second of picking them up. The soup was so bland it tasted like nothing except it had corn and potatoes inside of it that were the only thing that tasted like something. I'm super HAPPY that there's a Salad and Go closer to visit than driving to the one in Surprise. Another one is planned for the West Valley in North Peoria! First off, the prices are so reasonable esp for the portion size. $5.74 for a salad with your choice of chicken or no chicken. Mixed greens and dressing from scratch. Yum! $1.00 for 24oz cold brew coffee! My fave! There are like nine different salad options. I always order extra salads. BEST salads here!!! This location has an app pick up and a regular drive thru. This is becoming my favourite fast food place. The prices are competitive - like $5.49 for a HUGE, delicious salad and only $2.99 for a HUGE delicious breakfast burrito. In fact, I got two burritos, two iced coffees, and a lunch salad for later for about $15. It's so filling, so tasty, and at a good price point, so why would I even be tempted by the McDonald's across the street? Recently Salad and go put out a Facebook post where they were giving away free harvest salads on voting day. First of all, kudos to the chain for supporting voting. Second, we pulled through and they served our family of four free salads with no strings attached by a super smiley happy staff. The harvest salads were really yummy. You get to choose tofu or chicken. I had the tofu. It was marinated and yummy. We went back for lunch again this week. I had the Caesar salad and an iced coffee. The coffee was good and a real deal at $1. My kids each got the frozen strawberry lemonade (also $1) and it was so fresh tasting. I'll be getting that again. I really enjoyed the salads from here. The veggies were so fresh, especially the lettuce. No wilt or brown edges. It seems like there is some real ice put into the ingredients. I highly recommend giving them a try. I took me and my kids to salad and go and I got to placing my order I ordered a kids wrap and the employee got confused so I told him I ordered this yesterday the employee began to argue with me that they do not have a kids wrap so I told him I am going to pull up to the windrow so I can talk to a manager because I wanted to tell the manager my other was wrong yesterday and also that I just ordered a kids wrap and I am confused why I can not order it again. So I try to explain what is happening and the shift lead at the window did not even let me speak and let me explain was was happening instead she was smirking looking back in forth to her co workers, pretty much mocking me. So I am to get the actually manager and I told him what was happening. He took my order and I paid. Then I asked for the district managers number and he said he could not give me trishas information so I gave him mine so she can get a hold of me. As I'm waiting for my order it seemed like the situation calmed down but I still see hid employees smirking at me especially the older lady with red hair. She just kept staring at me. So I asked the manager for the red hair lady's name and the shift leads name. That's when it got heated again. When I asked the manager their names he looked confused like he didn't know their names so I asked him "do you not know your employees name" he got really upset did I was giving him attitude and he didn't like my tone. So he gave me a refund and proceeded to tell me how awful I am and how I can't go back to that location anymore. I went home with my kids without the food we ordered and this crazy experience.
