We were taking sake shots, twerking, eating our fried rice, laughing our asses OWFF, and serving c*nt honey!! We were sat next to a group of boys going to their high school homecoming awww. They definitely were up to no good. Hitting their geek bars and trying to steal our liquor!! But i remember when I was in high school we didn't let them ruin our fun!! Fun!! I haven't had hibachi in probably over 15 years, so I was excited to experience it again. I came here with a group of friends for a birthday and they pulled out all the stops -- onion tower, fire explosion, shrimp catch game. The classics. If you're like me and hadn't had the hibachi experience in quite some time, I recommend putting it on your 2026 bucket list. It's just a good time. And Sakura is a great place for it! The inside is really cute and fairly spacious. Our chef was super nice and interactive with our table which really adds to the experience. With the hibachi meal you get miso soup, a salad, fried rice, noodles, and meat of choice. I went with the steak but I think in the future I'll do the shrimp because it was really good! Hosted my birthday dinner at Sakura with 7 friends and it was such a fun experience! Our group was the perfect size for the hibachi table. It was interactive with the chef having everyone catch broccoli in their mouths and doing the fire show with a fun twist (see video). It was the first time most of us had done something like this since we were kids. The meal came with miso soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, and your choice of protein. I got the shrimp which was tasty and the serving sizes were huge, we all left with leftovers. The only downside was feeling a bit rushed on a Saturday night since they had tables waiting, so we had to wrap up pretty quickly. Chef Jun cooked our food using the teppanyaki style stove. I ordered the red snapper. The meal came with sautéed vegetables, vegetarian fried rice, miso soup, a side salad, a good portion of noodles cooked in soy sauce. The red snapper filet looked large. It took time for Chef Jun to cook it. The food tasted divine. It surprised me to see the restaurant using large sized shrimp. They tasted delicious. The red snapper had a juiciness to it. The portions took the whole experience to another level. Joseph ordered the steak and chicken teppanyaki. He said he liked the portions. Going to Sakura Teppanyaki brought back nice experiences of us living in Hawaii. We created new memories by coming to this place. This will not be our first time coming here. I liked the ambiance here. I felt relaxed and not rushed. The prices looked a little steep. However, the food, servers, and chef all made it worthwhile. Popped in on a Friday night and was seated right away. They do take reservations on Yelp. There are 4-5 hibachi tables and then regular seating. The sushi sampler and crab ragoon were good, nothing out of the world. Lychee martini was just ok, it wasn't very sweet but very strong and wasn't sure what other liquor was put in there but it was just ok. Hibachi plate comes with salad soap to start, pick your protein, I did garlic shrimp and scallops, and fried rice, veggies, and noodles. Salad was not great, most of my lettuce was brown-spoiled. The soup was just okay. Garlic shrimp said it had a sauce on it but it was like a thick garlic paste ontop, it was ok. Scallops were good and had a nice sear, not overcooked. Veg was cooked well. Noodles were a bit bland and overcooked. Rice was just ok as well, not a lot of flavor. Service started strong but took a long time to refill our drinks. Last Sunday, I arrived shortly after opening and was very lucky to get a seat. I ordered fried calamari, a sushi roll, and House Lemonade. The impressive portion sizes, featuring with a crispy golden exterior that gave way to remarkably fresh, plump squid meat. Each bite offered the perfect textural contrast between the satisfying crunch and the succulent calamari. I highly recommend the fried calamari! We recently hosted my kiddo's birthday lunch here and it was a great experience. Hosting 20 children under the age of 8 is ambitious at teppanyaki, however the restaurant was very patient and willing to work with us while we ordered for each kid, etc. There are only 2 teppanyaki chefs at lunch time so we started with one table of 22 and then moved on to the other table (with mostly parents and older siblings) so note if you go there at lunch time, with a large group. The ambience was lively and the space is large enough to feel not crowded. During the party, a handful of tables got filled for lunch goers but it felt like we had plenty of space still. The food was great, the kids who love noodles and chicken loved it, the kids who didn't like it were happy with bowls of rice that the restaurant was able to bring out quickly upon ask. It really was lunch and a show- the kids loved the fire, the egg trick, and the water (kiddy sake) that was sprayed at them. My kiddo felt so special and his friends and their parents had a blast. They have already asked to go back so this really was a 5 star experience! read more

Came here for their AYCE sushi deal on a Sunday lunch and it was an excellent deal. Very good price for AYCE - and the quality of sushi was good! The ginger they offer is excellent and wasabi tastes real (without the artificial flavor you get from cheaper wasabi). Warning: some of their rolls are very huge - keep that in mind if you go with their AYCE option. We had most of the rolls they offered and they were all very tasty and the fish was of good quality. In the rolls, there was a good mix of fish and rice - they were not clearly stuffing the rolls with rice. The seaweed salad was also very excellent! Everyone was very nice - we stayed in the restaurant for a while after paying out bill (it was pretty empty) and they still checked to fill water as needed. I'm a big fan of Teppanyaki and bookmarked Sakura while passing by in town. The pyrotechnics caught my eye. What more appealing the fresh cooked food made in front of you with a bit of a show. You get to experience the aromatics of each ingredient prepared with precision and a bit of acrobatics. From the second you enter the door it was a Joy to dine here, friendly hostess and great staff. Nice modern dining area with pretty art like a cherry blossom murals. They have their teppanyaki side with I think 6 hibachis, a standard dining side for sushi, and a full bar. I personally don't love slightly runny eggs but they were still very good. We also had martinis which were strong. When we asked what hibachi table would be ours, they said another 10 minutes but the people at the table that would be ours had not even got the main dish yet. For an AYCE sushi deal this place isn't that bad! Especially considering the more popular options typically have astronomical wait times. This place only provides an all you can eat deal for lunch but it's very affordable (usually about 30 dollars post tax and tip) and the service is extremely fast. Now the fish quality of course won't match the more premium all you can eat places in the city. One noticeable difference is the salmon and tuna nigiri, at more premium places the fish is much fattier and larger--a sort of melt in your mouth experience that you don't really get here. But if you're in a crunch--this will definitely do just as fine. Some of my favorite rolls here are their mango rolls, they have a nice mix of savory and sweet with the mango sauce they drizzle on top of their rolls. Great unique mix of appetizers as well. May favorirecommend the Fire Agate which has lobster and is topped with scallop and spicy mayo. That was my favorite roll we tried. They also have ramen, Teppanyaki, noodles and other Asian dishes. Fun place with good food but service missed the mark a bit. My party made a reservation in advance and showed up right on time. We were told our table wasn't ready yet and had to wait at the bar for ~20 minutes, without any apology or explanation. Once we were seated, we ordered our meals and a few lychee martinis. The martinis were brought right over - they were a little on the sweet side but pretty good. Then, our chef came by who was fantastic! He was friendly and really talented. We all enjoyed our meals, our one complaint was it didn't say there was chicken in all the fried rice, so the pescatarians in our group couldn't have the rice, just noodles. No big deal but it would be nice if they included on the menu that the rice had chicken in it. The meals were a little on the pricey side but HUGE so we all ended up with a lot of leftovers. At the end of the meal someone came by and told us they needed the table for another party who was waiting. We were done with our food and had even gotten take-out boxes already, so not the end of the world, but we'd been sitting for less than an hour and a half due to having to wait at the bar for so long before being seated. Maybe it was just an off night, but seems like they have some reservation/ time management issues to work out. We ordered the edamame, dumplings and crab rangoons. They were delicious. My friend ordered the bento box with steak and raved about the tenderness of the steak. She liked her food. And the kids really liked their king crab and California rolls. The kung pao chicken was great. We finished lunch with mochi. A nice decision for a light and not too sweet dessert.
