Great sushi. Upper-mid range pricing. Clean. The table we sat at was a bit wobbly, they should get a wrench and tighten the screws on the bottom of the table. favorite dish here was the butterfly roll. Sushi is very fresh, compared to other places read more

Excellent service by various young ladies. Flavors good from salmon and chicken dinner bento boxes to random rolls. Did not know you have to bring your own alcohol. County rules. Presentation was strong too. Hope you go. We were visiting from San Francisco. read more

I'm here for a quick dinner the the misses. I enjoy it! Service is fast, waitress was very nice! Everything I ate tasted very good! I'll be back for sure! read more

Quite yummy, perfect lunch special portions, fast service, accommodating for our kid. We had a shrimp teriyaki bento box (yum!!), the 2-roll special with spicy tuna and California, and two orders of Gyoza for the kid, who gobbled them all right up. The servers were very friendly and helped to entertain our child. We'd definitely go here again! read more

Great sushi and authentic Japanese food! Service might be a bit slow some days but is definitely worth it! Lunch menu is also very affordable! read more

Very good sushi and tempura. Presentations were very nice. This is mine and my wife's first time here. We were pleased with the food and the prices. read more

The service was slow. We had to ask for water multiple times. Our dishes came out later than other customers who came later than us. Also, the restaurant was dim read more

When I first sat down I was worried. This place has all the signs of plummeting standards as the menus were many years old. The owners may not be Japanese but plenty of places in NYC are like that too. I was pleasantly surprised that the tempura batter was light and crisp. Maybe a little greasy but well done. My eel roll was flavorful and light. The rice was cooked well and not pasty or heavy which is good. Three stars in a big city but four stars for the middle of PA. read more

This place started out fantastic. Prices were high but the quality of the meat and sushi were a step up. Recently the meats have slipped. And the menu has become smaller. I will not pay the extra anymore. read more

I ordered an salmon box,and a soup with sea weed,very yummy!It's worth a four-star ranking.

Very good environment with traditional beautiful decorations. The atmosphere is also quite nice and relaxing. The food looks really really beautiful and are also very tasty. The price is high while we are lucky to get the summer discount. The service is also good. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants!! Awesome service, Great Food! Best Japanese food in town!

Didnt like it at all. Had chicken hibachi, and the whole dish was more of a chinese dish then a japanese one. The sauce/seasoning for the vegetables was definitely a chinese flavor. Not a fan. read more

Read a lot of these reviews here on yelp, which I thought were all very helpful. If I would have gotten just the sushi (titanic roll) this would have been rated 5 stars. Really good sushi. However I also got the Shumai, which came out so alarmingly fast I wondered what was going on (old?) and the Nabe Yakiudon. The Shumai was decent, nothing to be negative about, but the Yakiudon soup bowl was pretty much the worst thing I've ever eaten. Zero flavor, crunchy chicken, noodles mushy, i took it home to give to my furry friend and he wouldn't even eat it. read more

food is good. just do not order delivery. They don't know how to count delivery fee and tips. And taking extra charge for no reasons. Worst delivery in my life. read more

I took out my family to this cozy little Japanese hangout. I was extremely disappointed upon finding out the waiters do not throw shrimp in your mouth and make volcanos out of onions. But after I made it through my sweaty sock soup I was delighted by the chicken hibachi. The pink creamy sauce is definitely a must have except it was too bad when I added in my own "special sauce" after taking the first bite of this sploogeworthy delight. If you go to this restaurant make sure you bring a change of underwear because your pants will be #soaked afterwards. read more

A group of people set out with high expectations of onion volcanoes, shrimps in pockets, and chefs throwing food into their mouths. However, being apart of that group, I showed up to this restaurant to find none of what I expected. The salad was literal water and it was followed by a soup that tasted like God's tears if he cried from a place where the sun should never shine. The hibachi entree itself was uneventful and even throwing the food across the table at each other couldn't match the pure excitement I would have felt from a live chef flipping a shrimp in a perfect arc down my throat. The only saving grace for the meal was the sauce that I could douse the food in to make it a creamy heaven not much unlike what was going on in my nether regions. The final nail in the coffin, no fortune cookie. How can you charge me $20 for something I didn't want to eat unless it was doused in a sauce you gave me for free and not provide me with a simple inauthentic vanilla cookie with meaningless words inside? #triggered read more

Great sushi and great thai food. My wife and I are returning regularly.

We love this place. Great service and awesome food. Always come here when were at Penn State!

Not terrible, but a bit expensive and the service was not particularly great. Their menu is not very vegetarian friendly either, it would be nice if they could include some meat-free options. read more

I've only had takeout, but the salmon was buttery and fresh. You can't ask for anything more than that! I'm so sure that my readers know me well enough to know, salmon sushi is my favorite food in the world, and if I give five stars for salmon sushi...you need to go to there. read more

We went with a party of nine and everyone loved their food. Great sushi roles, soups and hibachi. Great presentation, very clean and friendly staff. read more

extremely slowly and bad service. We came here and waited for more than one hour. Terrible experience.

What a wonderful experience! 4 of us plus a 2 year old. They were so wonderful to our 2 year old , quick service, friendly and the food was delicious! This is my first yelp and its only because they were so great!!! read more

I ordered the sashimi appetizer and it was fantastic. If you're looking for good sushi this is a great place. The only reason I dropped it to 4 stars is because I also got the teriyaki salmon bento box which left a little to be desired. read more

Disappointing. After waiting 35 minutes past my guaranteed delivery time I received a call that my food was ready. When I went downstairs in my dorm, there was no one there. It had been delivered to old main. When my sushi finally arrived, the delivery man stood on the opposite side of the parking lot and just waited for me to walk over. When I walked over, he spoke barely any english except "tip?". When I got upstairs my sushi had fallen apart on my shrimp tempura roll (which was horrible. the shrimp was chewy. and cold), and the idaho maki was also just okay- not great. The wasabi had gotten over all of my rolls, and the soy sauce had spilled in the bag. The avocado on my salad was brown. I was left feeling sick after my meal. A complete waste of $20. Overall pretty bad experience. read more

I would definitely go back again and not with my children. Need a little fire under the chefs. Children plates. Lets just say my daughter did not eat. The prices were reasonable for the quality and portion that you received. The place is a bit small for the food business. Hopefully the food will stay consistently good. read more

Love this place!!!! The food is very good! They are amazingly tolerant of families and big parties. And they are wonderful giving personal service. Just a perfect place to enjoy sushi in state college. read more

The best sushi I've had in months. The titanic roll was out of this world and the other two rolls were just as full of fish and tightly wrapped. Great flavor and wonderful sizes to fill any appetite. I also got a Miso soup and it was a perfect temperature with lots of seaweed and tofu, but not too much. read more

Loved it! The decor is nice. The waitstaff is pleasant and prompt. The food looks and tastes fabulous. There a great selection of food, ranging from hibachi items, soups, appetizers, Asian entrees (General Tso's and such) and sushi. Try the mochi ice cream for dessert! read more

Best sushi in State College. Don't bother going anywhere else. It is even a great place for vegetarians with sushi loving friends. The tempura fried sweet potato rolls are amazing, and I love their avocado roll. Great actual sushi too. Beautiful presentation. And save room for dessert, their mochi is so good, especially the green tea flavor. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is that the service can be a little slow, but the food is worth the wait. read more

How, I wonder, did Fuji Jade garden survive? I despaired of any decent asian in State College - simply because there seemed to be no sense of what would count as acceptable. Sakura is completely fine. And I agree with the other reviewer who elatedly mentioned the absence of crab stick. It's not Manhattan or city standard, but excellent value for a college town. read more

After reading the reviews here, my family and I decided to give this place a try since we were in the area and it was my mother's birthday. What a disappointment. Our waiter looked like she was either completely stoned or drained of all energy. She was asking us to pass the dishes down the table instead of giving each of us our dishes (the place was nearly empty on a Saturday night so there was ample room for her to move about). Do not order the Steak Hibachi. The plate consisted of 70% squash. The "steak" was some sort of top round beef, which doesn't qualify for it's $19 price tag. My family and I were hugely disappointed. read more

Best sushi I found in State College. Solid choice, BYOB that accepts credit cards. Cheap prices and consistent food.

Excellent food and a very nice quiet atmosphere. The food is very fresh and the wait staff was very nice and friendly. Welcome to the neighborhood. read more

Food was OK - nothing special. Service sucked big time. Five of us for dinner and when the check came we gave $1 shy of 18% (and we thought that was a gift as it was). Waitress complained, stating that they expected a minimum of 18%. Not to mention how rude it was to question the customer, when we received our statement, they added the extra $1 w/o any consent. Talk about unscrupolous! I never write reviews, but this had to be told. read more

Reading the reviews, I thought this would be a good place to go to. I ordered shrimp tempura roll which was okay. And I ordered the crab roll which was disgusting. The food is a bit over priced for the quality. Will not be coming here again. read more

Best sushi I've had in State College...not that that is a huge distinction, given the options here, but I did enjoy it. Worth trying.

only had sushi rolls (salmon, volcano, philly, I love you, eel avocado). idk if my standards have dropped but I actually enjoyed it. at the very least it was manageable considering I haven't had sushi in almost a year. satisfied my sushi cravings. read more

The sushi was decent but nothing special. It was definitely not worth the 1 hour and 45 minutes it took to get delivered.
