i love the food. I love their shumai. Service was very well and very quick. I love the decor of the restaurant really made me feel like i was in Japan without even having to travel. I love the options. There were lines for foods and as soon and a new plate was out you needed to be quick because even if you're 4th in line you end up with only a few crab legs. Service was great but other than that, this place only deserves a 1 star. Came here last night on Xmas eve. Place was packed at 6 PM. Let's start with the Sushi. The only thing that was kept stocked was the rolls which were ok, nothing great. Sashimi was limited and constantly emptied out. I got my hands one 1 type of fish in ponzu and 1 octopus. No salmon or tuna. Saw another table with giant clam but that was gone by the time I got there. Moving on to seafood, I was there for an hour and did not see the lobster tray filled once (and if it did, people probably took all of it at once). Crab legs, they put out maybe a couple of lbs at a time and again, 1 person would take most of it. Think it got refilled maybe 3 times while I was there. Crabs, filled once and again people took all of it before I got a chance. So nothing you can really do unless you're willing to stand there and wait. Next cooked food, wow disappointed there. Nothing but typical stuff and not even a great selection either. I had 1 chicken wing and a few pieces of Hibachi steak. Nothing else looked appealing. Soups, I'm guessing their Fish Maw soup was the most popular cause it was practically empty. I managed to scrape up 1 cup and that was it. Tried to see if they refilled it before I left to get one last cup but nope. Desserts, didn't bother. Not a dessert type of person but seems like they had a decent amount of choices but still, nothing looked appetizing. Overall, this place needs a lot of work especially in restocking items. Makoli on 18 constantaly refills items and definitely more worth it. I live right across the street and had high hopes for the place cause the parking lot was always full during dinner hours but nope, sorry spend your money elsewhere. read more

I had seen multiple advertisements of this place because it had its grand opening I and wanted to come and check it out, but once we got in there seemed to be not that many great food choices and there was not even good selection of dessert. This place is packed for the Grand opening weekend. Obviously they are far from perfect because they are so new (no food labeling, some seafood dishes are always empty, ice cream is soft, etc.) but with a little more efforts, they can fix these minor issues. Overall food quality was very nice. Sushi selections are great. Dessert selections aren't enough and can see some improvement. read more

Great place for Lunch! The Good: The sushi were fresh, they had 8 sushi chiefs during lunch hours! The Chinese food were also great, lots a fish, beef, shrimp dishes. The desert bar was nice as well. All the soy sauce in there are low salt! The Bad: The hot & sour soup we had were totally tasteless! More like thick hot water than soup in my opinion. Other: They still haven't gotten their setup right I think, the sushi sauces were at one end of the sushi bar were as the Wasabi was in the far end of the next corner. We will definitely go back for lunch again. The dinner prices are looking at higher than everybody else in the 30 miles radius, so not sure if it's worth it. read more

Our family went on a Sunday for lunch. However, they charge dinner pricing all day on Sundays which I was not aware of. We would not have eaten here if we had known this. As for the food itself, the sushi selection and quality was OK. But the hot food buffet was disappointing. Some of the dishes seemed overcooked, perhaps because they had been sitting under heat lamps for a while. read more

My best friend's daughter's sweet 16th party. Great buffet with a nice private room. Sushi and sashimi were all fresh. Crab legs were delicious and not salty like some other buffets I've tried. While I was visiting this restaurant I noticed the food was not very good, but one major thing was that the two waitresses I talked with had very bad attitudes towards me and my friends. The waitresses names were Fiona and Jessie. We had a few questions about where some of the items in the buffet were located. They both told us to look for it ourselves and they seemed very unhappy. Was here a few weeks ago with the family and have to say I'm fairly impressed. There's many buffet restaurants around this area but most of them are low end and provide mediocre quality food. This place is definitely more expensive at around 27 per person but the quality of food is top notched. Lots of seafood selection and everything is super fresh. They always make sure that every dish is available and replenished. Many staff working here and always very courteous and takes away our dish constantly. This was the best food experience I've had in some time. Upon entering, the restaurant is much more open and redesigned far better than the place that used to occupy the location. The bathrooms and restaurant were clean and well maintained. The staff was very attentive, refilled our drinks and cleared away plates on a routine basis. There was a party in a room in the back, and despite what you might expect, the food was always in stock and nothing ran out. All of the food was well prepared and excellent in taste. Treat yourself to the dumplings, sesame chicken, sushi, and layered deserts. The clam chowder was the best I've ever had in my life and this includes seafood restaurants I've been to. Go during lunch for the cheaper pricing, but I felt the higher dinner charge was well worth the cost regardless. My only advice to the restaurant would be to put on their food labels a small note if something has nuts in it. As an individual with nut allergies, I'd like to be able to live long enough to enjoy eating there again. read more

I totally agree with Art J. Large variety, but the "Hot" food was luke warm at best. The servers for beverage and cleanup are not very attentive. What really turned me off was the sign that says you will be charged an extra 15% for leaving food on your plate. I found the choices I made were inedible, therefore leaving most of the food on my plate. I was out of there in 15 minutes. I should have done a little more due diligence before committing and paying the overpriced $25.95. I disagree with Karen K and do not feel this is a must try. Upon entering, the restaurant is very tastefully decorated and spacious with lots of seating. A typical NJ buffet with food that is presented well with lots of choices. Food was okay, the best thing were the 2 steamed fish choices and some vegetables. We arrived for a late dinner so that may be the reason that the hot foods were kind of dried out and overcooked. As for the sushi rolls, the plates were pretty empty, but some were replemished by my next round. Rolls were good. There were a few little crab legs left and one Rock crab and that did not get refilled, even when I asked one of the sushi guys about it. He said one second and then went on to do everything else but get me crab legs. Had to finally asked the manager for some. He brought me a plate of slightly frozen, very salty crab legs, and one Rock crab claw. That was pretty bad. The staff started eating dinner, so water and tea pot were not refilled. The tea was good, but we were charged $1.50 each, not expected. If you are charging me, that teapot better be filled. Desserts were not good at all which is to be expected. Cakes are usually not good at these buffets. But, I was hoping the ice cream would be decent, it wasn't. The fruits were not riped, hard cantelope. The pineapple was good, but only a few pieces left. My mother and I left my father at the hospital today to come out of our way to your restaurant to have lunch for my birthday. We arrived a little bit before 2:30pm on a Wednesday. You've been sending out advertising that you're open till 3:30 and when we arrived the girl at the door right away said "no you can't eat here we're closed now, bye!" Meanwhile I had just seen other people walk in only moments before. Her tone and rude demeanor immediately turned me off and I just said forget it and left without even a word more. Don't advertise that you're open if you're not planning on letting customers in and don't then be rude and condescending about it to your customers. I wouldn't be inclined to come here again and I'm sure with that kind of staff you'll just shut down quickly like you did previously. read more

Honestly I have this a low score because of the service. The food was good but the service was just lacking so much! The manager of this place handed out coupons to my work place and I had used it with a couple of my friends. When we were paying the person that had served us was trying to not give us the discount and even charged us extra for something I didn't have. There was multiple miscommunications for the bill. Everything would have been easier if he had listened to what was wrong instead of running away every second. I will be giving this place another try but idk... Why we would not go again: 1) Food is average for a $17.97 buffet - the food does not have the tranquility and taste of good Japanese - it's a lot mixed Asian food - some dishes are good, some dishes not so good. It's ok if you're hungry, not if you like good food. And the sushi dishes were not kept full 2) Tipping: So in the US, as I understand it 15% to 20% is standard for a FULL service restaurant. If there is a buffet where we have to serve our selves and there is no dedicated server, then the servers should be paid a full hourly wage and patrons not expected to tip so highly. The bill here has pre-printed tip amounts of 15%, 18%, 20% and custom. I guess I could have used custom 10% but, the staff member literally stood watching me fill out the form and I felt forced to choose the option. 3) Coupons: are a joke. I'd rather restaurants not offer coupons than offer them as a trick. (Atmosphere and decor is good - it's a good concept but we would not go again). read more

This place use to be Fuji buffet. They remodeled the whole place. Omg this place is beautiful. I only try their sushi tonight. Fish are super fresh.
