This all-you-can-eat sushi is probably the best value one around. Good variety, good ambience, and the employees move decently fast.

Growing up in RVA, there were maybe four sushi places on my radar (and only two of those four were…read moreany good); Twenty years later, it seems they're in ample supply. On a friend's reccomendation, I gave Fighting Fish a try. It did not disappoint! I had the Cowboy Roll and Yellowtail Sashimi. The yellowtail was fantastic, super fresh and amazing quality. The Cowboy Roll was also great; I had never had steak atop a roll before-- Really good! I felt like the roll may have been missing something, however I'm not sure what (maybe tobiko would be a nice touch? or maybe the shrimp tempura could've been crunchier? I don't know), but still really solid and tasty. I tried a little bite of my family's food as well, and everything was quite good. The vibes at the restaurant were good; clean atmosphere, not too crazy crowded, and the employees were very polite. Overall, Fighting Fish was a win for me and I look forward to coming back next time I visit!

The sushi was good, and I would come back to eat here. Note that the dining area is very small and…read moreprobably seats less than 40 people not including possibly 10 that could fit at the bar. The wait staff was friendly, which made up for the fact that I had to wait about 5 minutes without anyone noticing that I was standing at the entrance, waiting to be seated. On street parking looks like it could be a problem, but I got lucky with a spot because I went at an odd time. Had the assorted 15 piece sushi bowl that ran $30. I think it's a fair price for what you get. I also had their house sake, which was pretty good.
