Stopped buy to grab some fresh clothes after running in the rain all day (we had to be somewhere for dinner) and there was this mall not too far from us. I ran into Saks just to see what they had. The store was big, two stories, and everything was pretty organized. I did not see a lot of staff around. There were some items that you needed assistance to get and the closest employees I saw were at the register area. Prices on most seemed decent, fairly good deals plus I think they were having an after Christmas sale because some items were an additional deal off. I wasn't thrilled with the shoe selection but the purse and jacket sections were nice. Didn't really find anything this trip but a nice store if you are in the area for sure. read more

Hands down without a doubt the worst retailer I've ever dealt with in my life. I ordered a men's suit online to be picked up at the Beverly Center location. The suit never arrived and was told I might want to check Lawry's The Prime Rib Steak House located down the street as this was a common address for Saks Off Fifth misdeliveries. You've got to be kidding me!!!! So I contact Saks Off Fifth customer service in India and they refuse to credit my account, indicating it wasn't Saks Off Fifth problem that they lost my order in between their stores. My BF was shopping here several weeks ago and accidentally forgot his jacket that had one of his credit cards and some nice glasses in one of the pockets. Somehow he forgot to mention that to me for a couple days, and at first, when we called we figured they probably didn't have it anymore coz they were taking a long time to search while we waited on hold. They asked if they could call us back and we said, "sure." About 15 min later they called us back and said they have the jacket! Yay! We weren't able to get over to that side of town for a couple weeks, and finally one night I got to the store right after they closed. I waited by the locked front doors for a manager and asked her about the jacket. She told me to wait a few and she returned about 5 min later with my boyfriend's jacket. After ordering online, I purchased $2,500 of merchandise. It started where I was promised Free shipping and a 10% discount which was advertised. When I put the appropriate Promo code in, it was rejected. When I contacted Sacks online, with many back and forth emails and calls they refunded a measly $20.00. Out of 29 items 6 items did not fit, and one item which was a final sale item had a hole in it and could not be returned. When I returned the six items on four receipts, they played the shell and ball game and neglected to tell me that they were not refunding me part of the $20.00 discount that was received on my $2,500 order and reduced my refund $12.05 on one of my four receipts, which was given to me as I was departing the store (not when I had to agree to the refund) at the register. Lots of shade thrown here (see 200+ reviews, below), but my two recent experiences were a hit. As you travel down the Beverly Center escalators, there it is -- Saks OFF FIFTH across the street where the Target and the giant CVS is. What's going on over there? Well, what's going on over there is ... a higher-end Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx type-store. You know what that means. There won't be salespeople on the floor. The racks will be super full, sometimes making it hard to see everything or find your size, as the sales floor has literally everything on it; there's nothing "in the back" like at Nordstrom. Shoes will be all over the place and not always in the right boxes. You must be prepared to dig. So, if you keep your expectations in check, it can be an adventure. Unlike many outlet stores (with lots of direct-to-outlet stuff), I think that many things in Off Fifth do come straight from Saks. Gents, mens' stuff is on the second floor. On a recent trip (1/22), there was a Gucci sweater -- I mean a great one -- for a bit more than 1/2 off the Gucci price. It took some digging, but there is a designer area right at the top of the escalator. I found a small hole (I think someone had ripped off the security sensor and tried to steal it). I showed the sweater (and hole) to a manager who offered 20% the marked price). Sold! My ajumma tailor lady sewed the hole for $5. Next visit (2/22), Gucci holiday sweaters had arrived, not so holiday looking that you could get away with it on any sweater-wearing day. Again about 60% off the Gucci-store price. No salesperson goo-gooing you, no fancy wrap or Gucci bag, no nothing -- but an awesome sweater. Next stop, you know those shoes/sneakers that look like stretchy socks? Yes those (Valentino) -- not sure if I will ever wear them, but it was quite a deal. As with all stores like this, be prepared to dig. And you may find a treasure. read more

I went there a couple of weeks before Christmas. I wanted to look at their signet rings in the case there was two people that were working there one was helping a couple with sunglasses and then all of a sudden a male associate walked in. I asked her if I could see a ring and he goes in a minute and he goes to the Counter to help a woman return a bunch of stuff I was here first and waiting, and she just walked in unbelievable bad service. You should help the paying customers first not the returners. I just walked out and left the store and never to return. read more

I love Saks Off 5th. You can often find amazing products at a discount. The service at most locations is very consistent with helpful, and friendly staff. I don't order online but do it all in person and am always happy with my purchases. I recently did some Christmas shopping at the Jewelry counter and Nika was helpful with helping me choose some jewelry for my significant other. I also picked up a few things for myself. The absolute worst customer service I've received anywhere in the world. Staff member was curt, rude, and beyond miserable. I was holding my phone to retrieve my order return number while also holding on to my task-trained service dog's guide harness. She not only failed to greet me, barked "order number" at me when I politely said I had a return, but simultaneously barked at me to "open that bag!" to remove the gloves I was returning. I struggled to manage while she rolled her eyes at me. She then yelled at me, telling me to dispose of the bag myself at the end of the register. I was tempted to ask why exactly she's employed by Saks/gets paid if she's sour, can't greet customers, can't pull a return out of a bag, and won't toss the empty bag afterwards. I visited today to browse and saw a sign that sunglasses and optical glasses were 20% off. It was a highlighter green sign and pretty large and piqued my interest in a pair of glasses. I requested help from the cashier whom was not busy and she said very much with an attitude that another sales person would help me. She ended up helping me after all. I choose glasses that I probably wouldve bought and asked about the promotion. She again said with an attitide that they werent on sale and that in fact none of the sunglasses were. I set my things down and physically grabbed the bright ass sign that said they should be and she continued to say that it was incorrect. Confused, I asked well if its incorrect can you make an exception because the sign clearly says it should be and was denied with an attitude of course. I personally work in retail and have people yell at me all day. In instances like this they could have had a better attitude and treat the customer with respect. Afterall we are the ones paying their paycheck. Anyway dont go here. Uoull get horrible service and apparently your wallet stolen (according to past reviews). read more

Unfortunate experience today with Saks off 5th. Ordered a dress 2/17/23, it was delivered 2/24/23. I wore the dress once, to try on and see if it fit, it did not. So 2/25/23, visited this location to return my dress (in accordance with return policy). Unfortunately did not get the name of this woman helping me with my return. She took one look at the dress, whispered to her coworker and came back to me and said "I cannot accept this dress as a return because --*sniff* it smells like soy sauce". SOY SAUCE. She said this is considered damaged goods because it smells like soy sauce. A white woman saying this to an Asian woman, seems racially charged no? When called out, she doubled down on her statement, saying she can say whatever she wants. Left. Called for the store manager and I will give props that the store manager did apologize, asked us to come back and processed the return, as there is clearly no damage to the dress. Would not be caught dead here at this store, extremely racist woman working in customer service. Would have given -1 star if possible. read more

I recently purchased an outfit on-line and other products. The outfit was shipped first. They said it was delivered. I never received the item. I tried calling but could not find a telephone number for customer service. I had to fill out form for a claim. A couple of days later chatted with on-line services. They also said I had to wait for claims to make a decision. (I was able to get a number for CS from them). So Hmm what does that mean? Well, i received an email from them declining my claim. That means they were not going to give me my money back. I asked for proof of delivery and they could not provide that. I said I am not paying for something I did not receive. They said that was their policy. BS no way. They filed another claiming saying I want proof of delivery and had me send them a pic of my door and mail. Really? I think Yelp should start allowing negative stars...that's how horrible our experience was. 1. The store is an absolute disgusting mess. There is stuff thrown everywhere and a lot of merchandise is damaged. I picked up a Bobby Brown make-up palette to look at it only to get some sort of weird goo all over my hand, that was disgusting. Very expensive designer items half on/off hangers and getting stretched out, it's an absolute disgrace. Clothing on the floor, shoes missing out of boxes, opened items falling out of boxes, broken merchandise...the list goes on and on. 2. The staff is trashy, rude and useless with the exception of two employees: Eric and a lovely woman from India, aside from them everyone else should be fired. The managers are incompetent, rude, disrespectful and offer worse than horrendous service, their names are Victor and Robert. The two things ringing behind the desk were also incredibly rude and unhelpful and decided it was appropriate to speak about US to each other in front of us and had the audacity to call us OLD, which is also inappropriate. The woman in jewelry was polite but then got annoyed that she had to walk to a register so I'm not okay with that. 3. Staff was all dressed inappropriately and NOT according to company standards (not the only rule they were breaking). Victor was wearing a logo T-Shirt and jeans and looked like he was about to go bowling or to a baseball game. The others behind the register looked like they were cleaning the toilets in their apartments when they suddenly realized they needed to leave for work. One girl was chubby with a face diaper and a t-shirt that looked like she got it free for winning a beer pong competition...her hair was dirty and messily tied on the top of her head. The other girl was wearing a green top with her belly hanging out and she looked like she was performing tricks to supplement her income before coming into work that day. Robert was wearing a sweatshirt, the least offensive but still highly inappropriate. The only person dressed properly was the lovely Indian woman working the fitting room, a pregnant lady (who was also lovely but I didn't catch her name) and a woman in jewelry. 4. This store DOES NOT FOLLOW COMPANY POLICY and refuses to ship items or locate them for people. Let me be clear, I know FOR A FACT this IS NOT COMPANY POLICY but merely their laziness and incompetence. I'm not even kidding, we were told to defraud the government by pretending to be a corporation at the airport and ask them for tax money back. I've heard of international travelers getting tax money back but pretending to be a business to get the outrageous 10% LA tax back when our home state doesn't have tax is illegal and outrageous. Every store ships, typically for free but if I would have had to pay $15 or something I would have done it to ensure the sale was executed the proper way. They didn't want to call to get approval on the sale becasue I had spent 3 hours gathering THOUSANDS of dollars worth of items and that's what would have had to be done. As a result they lost around $3k from just me, who knows how many others have also walked out whether vocal about it or not. 5. Just to pile on...it's terrible that they closed their bathroom to guests and force them to locate one within the center. They use to allow clients shopping in store to use the restroom...just another reason not to go here. 6. They also make announcements over their loudspeaker like they're about to announce the blue light special but instead they announce that they're closing and everyone had to leave which is also AGAINST COMPANY POLICY. It's rude, Saks off Fifth is NOT an airport, no one wants to be barked at by them. In closing, I'm thrilled that Saks off Fifth is doing so well and sales are so amazing in this economy that they don't need my $3k. That's awesome! Judging by all of the reviews they are super duper and everyone loves them, especially "Robbie" who is likely Robert the manager giving himself a review in a failed attempt to boost the rating. In my opinion (I run companies but what do I know) Victor, Robert and the two trashy cashiers should be fired immediately at the bare minimum, but in all honesty, the store general manager and district/regional should also get the boot becasue they're not only allowing this nonsense but facilitating it and this is not something I'm willing to support today, tomorrow or ever. Next stop...Saks off Fifth CEO, I will not stop until this is resolved and I get an apology and a promise that this will NEVER happen again and if not...okay...enjoy bankruptcy becasue that's where it's headed! Also, Mark, the CEO of Saks mainline stores should be horrified since Saks off Fifth uses their good name and then trashes it at every turn...sorry folks but you DO NOT get Saks Fifth Avenue Beverly Hills quality at Beverly Connection Saks off Fifth, you get worse than Walmart on all fronts. I ordered a white body suit and paid $11 shipping. When it arrived a blush color was delivered, I returned the item to my local store and received a refund. The next day I checked my statement and discovered that the shipping has been deducted from the refund amount. I called and was told that they would look into it and give me the shipping back as the website description was wrong!! I just received another email to say after looking into my case they would not be refunding the shipping!!! No explanation as to why!!! Totally unacceptable! He took it right away and id though my I'd get the price of the item in that manner. But the jacket disappeared, and all the staff were just chatting and dancing while I was waiting. Great merchandise. But the racks are stuffed and the clothes are a messy. This store is cluttered and understaffed severely. There was a Valentino shirt that was on a rack with beautiful trimming being marked up and damaged. The merchandise is not being managed in respectful way at all. The staff seems to be preoccupied and reluctant to help, which is a scar on the face of this well-maintained clothing store. The aisles are clear and most items including jeans are hung for easy browsing. The store is decorated well and has the feel of an upscale outlet department store. This is in stark contrast to Nordstrom rack which is just a few feet away in the same shopping center. The reason for the 4 stars is because I don't expect much personal help and attention when shopping at an outlet store. If I went to Saks, or Nordstrom and got the same level of service, I would be appalled. This is a clean, well maintained outlet store with a good selection and nice dressing rooms. read more

This Off Saks is actually pretty good. For the most part, you go to Off Saks if you are a male and wish to dress up, or an older female (by older I mean simply - not a teenager or in your twenties), but at this particular Off 5th there are some fashions for the younger girls too. As with all outlets you must pick and choose carefully. There are some good bargains here. Besides clothing you will also find sunglasses, luggage, perfumes/colognes, all sorts of things. Even some housewares. Unfortunately, Off Saks has gone downhill over the years as far as the top designers; I don't see as many of the Italian designers here any longer, but they still have some good items, at discount prices. read more

The staff follow me around the store and the security guards are constantly talking and staring as I walk by. African Americans beware.
