    Sake House Special For Two
    Toby M.

Came here to celebrate a new job with my girlfriend and was very pleasantly surprised as the terrific value here! First, they have BOGO happy hour ALL DAY y'all. $12 for two saketinis with Tito's for me, $10 for two Mai Tai's for the lady!!! Second, note that they do not always have tabletop teppanyaki available here. Some folks may not love this part but, I honestly didn't mind not having to wait for a chef or having to sit with strangers. Everything is available from the hibachi menu at regular tables. Third, the food was terrific! We got the Sake House special for two with chicken, shrimp, scallop & steak... tons of leftovers for lunch tomorrow as well! It was much cheaper than getting two entrees and we will definitely be back in the future. Come support a hidden local gem!!!

Delivery order, lunch for under $20

One of the only sushi restaurants that offers lunch sushi roll pricing on delivery app orders. I gave them a try because of the price value and creative options offered. Soy sauce provided is the low quality no brand variety, but the fish and rolls were tasty. Some of the rolls fall apart easily, so it's messy. Not the best, but sure better than grocery store sushi!

Interesting place. It's Japanese and Italian. Definitely came for the sushi though. I ordered for pick up for NYE. Ordered a variety of items to try. I ordered the Rock In Shrimp Fried, Cheese Wontons, Shumai, and Hibachi Noodles. For sushi I ordered the 2011, NYC Roll, Jaguar, and the Tampa. The Rock In Shrimp Fried was just fried shrimp and no sauce. Not great and would not recommend. The Cheese Wontons were good and basic. Nothing special or different. The Shumai was fried. It was good. I've only ever had it steamed so it was different than what I am use to. The Hibachi Noodles were good. The yum yum sauce that comes with it was missing something. It was only runny. The 2011 roll is deep fried. It is salmon, cream cheese, avocado, spicy Mayo, eel sauce, and yummy sauce. The NYC Roll is yellowtail, cucumber, scallions, and smelt roe. The Jaguar roll is deep fried. It is eel, cream cheese, and avocado. The Tampa roll is fried grouper, onion, and Mayo. All of it was good except the NYC roll and the Rock In Shrimp. Would not recommend these two items.

Excellent service tonight. Waitstaff was attentive and the food was tasty. They brought waters out without us even asking, our orders came out quickly and were correct, (even with my requested side items), and the presentation was thoughtful. We will definitely be back.

    Sushi "Roll"

I am usually not one to complain about my food, but what in the ever loving s*%^ is this!? It's supposed to be a sushi roll!!! There isn't even any rice inside of the roll! I guess it lives up to the name of Godzilla. It looks more like the city in which Godzilla destroys! Not sure if there is a new sushi chef, but someone should be double checking orders before sending them off. This roll was $14! The rolls were not intact, no rice to hold everything together. I've been ordering sushi for 14 years now, and I've never seen a "special roll" without sushi rice inside of it unless specified. It is mostly just an imitation Krab takeover! Oh and to add, there were only THREE "ROLLS" in the order!

This is a bit confusing when there's a couple restaurant names for just one location. I posted my updated review on their Kobe Italian Yelp but I think it should also be here since it's about their sushi. I heard that there was a new management in place and my coworker suggested I give it another shot after my first experience. I would have to say it was better, but not by much. I'm still not impressed. Honestly, my stars would be closer to a 2.75. Anyways... We ordered from the Japanese menu. We started with the Rock n Shrimp, sashimi deluxe and an sake house roll. The Rock n Shrimp was literally rock hard. The batter was almost burnt and presentation was horrible. I was super disappointed and the chefs sauce was nothing I cared for. With such a bad start I was praying the sashimi would be better from the last time. And thankfully it was! The fish is fresher and not dull in color. It's not the best because besides the salmon and escolar there was no flavor. The sushi roll was a little green madness of seaweed and baked fish on top of an avocado wrapped California. It wasn't bad but I think the seaweed salad is somewhat out of place and the baked tuna and salmon can be dry. I would have liked it more torched instead. I wasn't a fan of the service and think it's awkward when you walk in and someone behind the bar is trying to host while walking off around the corner of the bar. Am I supposed to follow or are they coming out to meet me? Uhhh... Awkwardly standing, haha. Hmm... Sorry I'll pass.

Food was good, but service was mediocre. The part that I did not like was the auto tip of 18%regardless of the level of service.

The Deep End is on the 11th floor. Since it was super windy out, they had the high-tech premium screen windshields down, so you couldn't really see the exterior, including the water views and the Gulf. You can't really hear the wind noise either these were high tech sun windscreens. We have the Shishido peppers and they were absolutely delicious. Definitely a must get when you order anything at this place. My better half got the corn and it was OK. I wouldn't order that again. He also got a number of different drinks that I also would never order here, including the passion martini. I would just stick to the usual original drinks such as the bloody Mary, daiquiris. We both like this strawberry basil Collins drink. That was the highlight of the night that my better half and I both agree since we don't agree on much when it comes to food and drinks lol. I wish the drinks would have garnish in them such as mint leaves, slices of oranges, etc. They have french fries here that are thin, just like McDonald's fries and they're absolutely delicious. I will get these every time when I come here. I can't wait until it gets warmer out, and I would come here for a late lunch and just soak in the view

We were able to watch the sunset during our meal, which was beautiful. We were seated promptly, and our server was friendly at first. We ordered the Strawberry Basil Collins, Espresso Martini, and an Old Fashioned. All of the drinks were well made and enjoyable--we would definitely order them again. For our meals, we ordered the Chimi Filet, Tuna Poke Bowl, and the Gulfview Salad with added grilled chicken. I enjoyed my Tuna Poke Bowl; it was filling and tasted good, but for the price, it could have included more tuna. The value didn't quite match the cost. One friend felt the steak was just okay and didn't care for the chimichurri sauce. Another ordered the Gulfview Salad with grilled chicken for an additional $13, which felt excessive. The chicken was average and didn't justify the added cost. The service was mixed. While our waitress started strong, it declined as the night went on. I wanted to order the Vegetable Bao Buns as my meal, but the waitress repeatedly told me they were an appetizer, despite me explaining that was what I wanted. I ended up ordering the poke bowl instead, but the interaction was frustrating and should not have occurred. The biggest issue was when we received our checks--our waitress never returned. After waiting over 30 minutes and asking another server for help, we were finally able to pay. During that time, other tables that arrived after us had already left. Overall, I would return for drinks and appetizers, but not for a full meal.

I found the restaurant while I was still deciding on what hotel we were going to stay at and then just so happened to choose the Wyndham Grand (which was also amazing but that's a different story). I was very pleasantly surprised to see them hand us a discount card at check in which got us 10% off on our meal here - even better! I booked us an outdoor table at 5 pm hoping we'd have a perfect view of the sunset. And, well, the attached pictures speak for themselves! It was really gorgeous, beautiful atmosphere and our waiter was great. The meal started with some complimentary edamame which is always a plus. My girlfriend ordered the scallops which were so good, as well as an order of sashimi which is not my personal preference but she was visibly in heaven. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and two kamikaze rolls which were specifically recommended by our waiter (although to be honest I would've ordered it anyway - shrimp tempura and spicy lobster, it doesn't get better than that). No exaggeration, it was the best sushi roll I've ever had. If I go back, I'm just going to order three of them and call it a night. Long story short, I was optimistic about this place but didn't really know what to expect, and it managed to exceed all expectations. Very glad I chose this for our anniversary dinner, thanks for making it so special Ocean Hai!

At first, sadwiches and poke bowls at the same place didn't sound as something common, however, I…read morelike both so I decided to check it out. Altough all the poke ingredients looked mouthwatering, I felt like a sandwich will do better that day, so I went with latter. The [guy who seemed to be an] owner told me they do the best cuban sandwich in town, and it appeared to be absolute truth. The bread was grilled to golden-brown crisp, cheese melted to perfect softness and the meats were super fresh as well. I've requested the one with no pork, and they made the custom sandwich no questions asked. Among other condiments, they have this delicious yellow sriracha and black pepper grinder. I tried sriracha at random, and I do recommend it on this sandwich, while you all know that freshly grinded black pepper is much more flavorful than just ground one; and I appreciate this nice little touch. I wish everyone would switch to these grinders. We have just arrived to the beach, and it was raining all day. This guy promised, it won't last forever and the sun will come out soon. This came true either :) One little detail, after I got to the hotel and took my tee off, I felt like it caught a some of that frying oily smell. I think the exhaust fan doesn't do its job well and needs to be changed, or another one added. It wasn't too bad so I can't take star for that, I'd say its just a little advice. Overall, I loved this place, and I'll definitely try poke here this week too.

The raw tuna and raw salmon were fresh, and so were the toppings I chose to add (edamame, roasted corn, seaweed salad and cucumber salad, sesame seeds and chopped peanuts). I chose not to add a sauce; at home in NJ I usually enjoy my poke bowls without sauce. Their poke bowls need sauce! And, more flavorful toppings than the ones I chose. I believe the white rice in their poke bowl has no flavor, unlike the sushi rice I'm accustomed to getting with my poke bowls in NJ. Makes such a difference! Because I get better poke bowls at home in NJ at a lower price, I have no desire to return to this restaurant.
