    Passion martini
    Anh T.

I love this place so much! Free valet with restaurant receipt stamp validated by the server. However, we took an Uber to get here because we were barhopping all night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Deep End is on the 11th floor. Since it was super windy out, they had the high-tech premium screen windshields down, so you couldn't really see the exterior, including the water views and the Gulf. You can't really hear the wind noise either these were high tech sun windscreens.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have the Shishido peppers and they were absolutely delicious. Definitely a must get when you order anything at this place. My better half got the corn and it was OK. I wouldn't order that again. He also got a number of different drinks that I also would never order here, including the passion martini. I would just stick to the usual original drinks such as the bloody Mary, daiquiris. We both like this strawberry basil Collins drink. That was the highlight of the night that my better half and I both agree since we don't agree on much when it comes to food and drinks lol. I wish the drinks would have garnish in them such as mint leaves, slices of oranges, etc. They have french fries here that are thin, just like McDonald's fries and they're absolutely delicious. I will get these every time when I come here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can't wait until it gets warmer out, and I would come here for a late lunch and just soak in the view[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Beautiful view

View & Atmosphere: 5 Food: 3 Service: 2 [[HIGHLIGHT]]My friends and I came here for dinner, and the views were the highlight of the experience. We were able to watch the sunset during our meal, which was beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated promptly, and our server was friendly at first. We ordered the Strawberry Basil Collins, Espresso Martini, and an Old Fashioned. All of the drinks were well made and enjoyable--we would definitely order them again. For our meals, we ordered the Chimi Filet, Tuna Poke Bowl, and the Gulfview Salad with added grilled chicken. I enjoyed my Tuna Poke Bowl; it was filling and tasted good, but for the price, it could have included more tuna. The value didn't quite match the cost. One friend felt the steak was just okay and didn't care for the chimichurri sauce. Another ordered the Gulfview Salad with grilled chicken for an additional $13, which felt excessive. The chicken was average and didn't justify the added cost. The service was mixed. While our waitress started strong, it declined as the night went on. I wanted to order the Vegetable Bao Buns as my meal, but the waitress repeatedly told me they were an appetizer, despite me explaining that was what I wanted. I ended up ordering the poke bowl instead, but the interaction was frustrating and should not have occurred. The biggest issue was when we received our checks--our waitress never returned. After waiting over 30 minutes and asking another server for help, we were finally able to pay. During that time, other tables that arrived after us had already left. Overall, I would return for drinks and appetizers, but not for a full meal.

    Fried snapper with rice

We stayed at the JW Marriott for 4 nights and ended up eating here twice because their food was really good. I personally loved their Shrimp Tempura Sushi - deep fried seaweed stuffed with rice and topped with shrimp tempura and their sauce. It's rather pricey at $25 for 2 especially when you can order the same shrimp tempura (I think it was their Rocking Shrimp) for almost the same price and you'll get 5-6 decent sized shrimps. We also loved their dumplings. For entree, we really like the deep fried snapper. The sauce was rather tangy, almost mustard like. We switched the Peruvian potatoe purée for rice instead. Service was good. Shout out to Sebastian who took really good care of us. My hubby thinks their Pina Colada tasted better than the ones we get from the beach services. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience - amazing view of the ocean. We saw a manatee swam while we were eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I mean do you see that view??[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I could be drinking water alone and still give this an A+. But the bartender was super friendly and kind enough to see the sun in my eyes and lower the shades just enough. He was cheerful and welcoming. I got the Strawberry Basil Collin's and it was super yummy. The fresh strawberry puree was he after bonus. Decent prices for such a high class atmosphere too!! I've paid much more in California.

A Perfect Final Night in Clearwater I chose this spot for our last dinner in Clearwater, and it couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment you pull up to valet, you're wrapped in genuine hospitality. The warm welcome in the lobby and friendly greeting from the hostess set the tone right away. Carmen checked us in and let us know the wait would be about five minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if we could sit by the window to enjoy the view, and without hesitation, she said it wouldn't be a problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before seating us, she personally inspected the table to make sure it was spotless--such a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Within minutes, we were seated, and our server Gigi came by to introduce herself. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when I couldn't decide on what to order. My husband had the Lomo Saltado, I went with the Grouper (which they gladly swapped from rice to Yuca fries--no problem at all), my mother-in-law enjoyed the Salmon Bowl, and my 9-year-old had the shrimp stir fry. I usually never finish my meals, but this time, I cleaned my plate! Every part of the experience--food, ambiance, view, drinks, and service--was a 10/10. If you're planning a visit, do yourself a favor and make a reservation around 6:45-7:00 PM to catch the breathtaking sunset. You won't regret it. Enjoy!

The food and services was good no issues or problems. Our orders came in at the same time since it was a party of 7. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is casual & relaxing, along nice view of the water of the 11th floor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The teriyaki salmon with jasmine rice was excellent along with the lamb burger with Yuca fries etc. would recommend if staying here at the hotel.

Fake entry to an existing restaurant
    Dre G.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What was advertised as a speakeasy fell short of anything but a speakeasy it was only an exit entryway to the same existing restaurant which you could've walked in on the other side there was no ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was extremely poor. The drinks not that good at all, the total disappointment was the fact that it was advertised as a speakeasy night last night and it was not even that in fact, the staff said don't blame me. I only work here. It was an extreme disappointment. If it ever pops up again don't go. It's a waste of time. this is the first time I've ever given such a low rating and unfortunately, I will not change it because it was a complete disappointment.

    Charred edamame
    Vanessa T.

Absolutely delicious food and cocktails! We loved the charred edamame which was topped with a delicious soy drizzle and some really interesting seasoning. The chicken bao was out of this world (soft, crunchy, sweet, savory, creamy, etc) AND it comes with fries. This is at the JW so you already know the service is impeccable! The views are gorgeous. We sat along the glass railing but there are plenty of seating options like one very large center table perfect for group dinners and a really cool corner table I have to book next time for the 180 degree view!

Best tasting drink ever! It's called a froza

So me and my wife are went here for a pre birthday celebration. We had drinks we didn't have the time to eat but the food did look rather good so we will have to go back so stay tuned in for that review but [[HIGHLIGHT]]let me add that the atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing it was very relaxing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What a great find! Its actually kinda hard to find a restaurant that has great water views and great food. Who would have thought a latin/asian fusion place would be so awesome! It is located at the top of the JW Marriott ion Clearwater Beach. Service was great. Water glass was full the entire time. The food was very good! We started with the steeet corn. A unique flavor for sure. I had the chimi filet. Meat was tender over an exquisite bed of mashed potatoes served with a mini side wedge salad. The desert was awesome as qell. Cant beat the view as well. Highly recommend

We were a bit confused about the entry to the restaurant, it is casual ambience, however the food was great and delicious. Our waitress Racheal was very nice and friendly It is for sure end of the bay Spectacular view .

The rooftop restaurant, The Deep End, at the JW Marriott on Clearwater Beach is absolutely fantastic!!! The handcrafted cocktails and innovative food are absolutely delicious and you can't beat the water views from the 11th floor! The restaurant overlooks the pool at the JW so the atmosphere is very fun and casual. My husband visited The Deep End every night of our trip for a nightcap and appetizer. I had the pleasure of having lunch here and I can see why my husband enjoyed this restaurant so much. My Frozen Pisco Sour was one of the best cocktails I have had. I don't usually order frozen cocktails because they are usually too sweet, but my cocktail was nice and tart! It was perfect in the sweltering heat! Our spicy charred edamame and pork dumplings with fried seaweed garnish were fantastic. The star of the show were my ahi tuna bao tacos. They fish was fresh, the buns were light and airy, and the sriracha aioli gave the "tacos" a nice spicy kick. I had the choice of yuca fries or seaweed salad and opted for the fresh and salty seaweed salad. There is a kid's menu with burgers and chicken tenders so feel free to bring the kiddos. Our toddlers loved their chicken and fries and our waitress was so sweet to our boys and was kind enough to bring them plastic straw cups of apple juice while my husband and I enjoyed our adult beverages. The only negative remark I can make about The Deep End is that there is no air conditioning in this open air restaurant. There are fans in the restaurant, but I was melting in the July afternoon heat. I did stop by during the evening and the temperature was much more pleasant!

    More sushi tacos
    Brian S.

A dinner date here was a delight - the combination of Peruvian & Japanese sushi style was so delicious and unique like we've never had before. The sushi taco's were next level, as was the shrimp and drinks, gyoza, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe is upscale despite being by the pool but the pool & view of the ocean made it very relaxed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great views of the water and bridge

It was crazy hot so we couldn't sit on the patio but at sunset it was still a stunning view. Kalby was an absolute pleasure to be serviced by. She was attentive and used her talents to help recommend entrees from the menu. Our starter was the bulgogi skewers which were perfectly balanced with sweet and Korean spice. The edamame was our least favorite dish. I did discuss this with kalby and the manager. The idea was there but poor execution. The gochujang sea salt...the gochujang just wasn't there and once you ate that top layer all you got was oily edamame, so much oil...you wouldn't need chapstick for the rest of the day. Then wins though came from the cocktails. Ours were delicious and my old fashion was spot on. Also in the win was the sunset sushi, beautiful and fantastic, along with Korean crispy chicken. The peanut sauce was the perfect balance to that meal. Now...what we also loved that should be permanently on the menu was the mochi. We had 4 of them and they were wonderful! Everyone should be able to experience these. But ocean hai on your list as a must try place for sure.

We had the nicest table right on the patio overlooking the beach and it was fantastic. Our server was pleasant when she was around, but it seemed like she went missing for long periods of time and always right when we seemed to need something. Service was generally slow and the restaurant wasn't super busy when we were there. Food was mediocre at best. We started with the bulgogi beef skewers and the ahi tuna apps. The skewers were sort of dry and chewy...and I don't know that they tasted like bolgogi. The tuna tartar app tasted heavily of lime and nothing else and the cuts on the tuna were pretty messy and made it a bit difficult to eat. The grouper entree was okay, but the piece of fish I got looked like a baseball in that it was thick and sort of round? It made it just kind of tough and overcooked on the outside and a little undercooked on the inside. The chicken fried rice was good, but nothing to write home about.

Jonas saw and tended to every need, in addition to making each diner (including the children) feel like royalty. His patient professionalism subtly taught how things go in white-tablecloth restaurants. Some ordered sushi (and ate every scrap), some ordered the filet or the New York Strip, some ordered other specials (pistachio-crusted hogfish, grilled Red Snapper (SO GOOD!!), cedar plank salmon, Island Way-prepared snapper ~ all pronounced delicious!
