Very nice place for a celebration or a romantic dinner. Went there today for a friend's 80th birthday party, and it was great. They had affordable options as well as more expensive dishes. We ate from the Sunday special $25 options- steak tacos and shrimp scampi over linguini. The food was good, the scampi sauce was a little on the heavy side. My daughter loved the steak tacos. The service was OK, not much attention after the food was brought out. I had to ask for a drink refill and we had to ask for a bread refill. First time going there, and I would maybe go back and try their steak with shrimp dinner and mashed potatoes. The person in front of me ordered it, and it did in fact look very good.
Another great meal we always enjoy coming here. We started with a nice Pinot Grigio and their bread service which is always a favorite. Had a salad and went with the Volcano Roll, so good. We also ordered calamari to start (along with the bread), and everything was fresh and flavorful. My husband had the pork chop, cooked perfectly to his liking. Consistently a great experience every time we visit.
I would have given a higher score but a few things that happened cause me to give a 3 star rating. I'm disabled at the moment and upon arriving all of the handicap spaces were taken with high end luxury vehicles. These were allowed to park there because of valet workers and when my stone crab was boxed up I was missing one and at $45 dollars a lb I was a little upset about that. We had a reservation at 3pm but because of heavy beach traffic we got there at 310pm. But two couples who arrived after us and also with 3pm were seated before us. So once the second couple was sat I inquired about it. That's when we were finally sat. Once we were sat things were going really great. This is our favorite restaurants in the Tampa area. It's on the water, causal attire, great food and worth our 1.5 drive. The food is also terrific m. So my wife and I eat like birds so we often split meals. We ordered a 22oz steak, lobster tail, scallops, shrimp with appetizers of crab claws and oysters. And for good measure a salad which was really good with hot bread "yum". Our meal was amazing as well as the service we received from our server. We had so much food that we ended up packing it up and bringing it home.which
We had a wonderful experience while dining at this establishment. The service was top-notch. The libations and the wine were very good. This place has been a staple for decades in the same location. Please refer to the pictures for the delicious food and drinks that we enjoyed. Cheers
We were looking for a place where we could watch the sunset, so we were really excited to eat here. We had a reservation for 7:45 PM, but when we arrived it was raining, so they had to move everyone inside. We weren't seated until around 8:20 PM. The restaurant was extremely busy. They had a separate gluten-free menu which was nice. Once we were seated, it took a while for our waitress to come over, but we understood because of how crowded it was. Unfortunately, when she did come to the table, she seemed extremely rushed and it came across a little rude. I had several questions about gluten-free precautions, and every time I asked something she quickly said "yes" without really explaining. We ordered the Millionaire Bacon, oysters and the octopus as appetizers since both were listed on the gluten-free menu. I specifically explained that both needed to be prepared gluten-free. On the menu, it even notes in parentheses what needs to be removed to make certain dishes gluten-free. When the appetizers arrived, I noticed the octopus still had the red sauce that the menu said must be removed. I stopped our waitress as she rushed by, and she quickly said it was gluten-free and walked away. My husband had just put some in his plate when the server, who had brought the food out, came back and asked if we had eaten any yet because it had not been made gluten-free. He immediately took it back and returned with a gluten free one. When I mentioned it to our waitress, though, she kind of just shrugged it off. For dinner, I had the seafood bowl, and my daughter, who also eats gluten-free, had the salmon with potatoes au gratin. My son and his girlfriend got sushi, and my husband had the fish Clearwater style. Everything looked great when it came out, and I double-checked that my meal was gluten-free. The server confirmed it was. Overall, the food tasted really good. The only issue was my daughter's potatoes au gratin there was so much grease pooled on top that she ended up not eating it because they were basically inedible and her salmon was over cooked and had zero seasoning. Overall, our meal was good. The restaurant was packed, and we were disappointed that we missed the chance to sit outside and watch the sunset, but that was obviously due to the rain and not the restaurant's fault.
The food is great and prices are in line, wait staff is great, but serving across the table and across another lap is inexcusable. This falls on management and I have known this since I was 14. Food should generally be served from the guest's left side using the server's left hand. However, if the food is pre-plated in the kitchen, it should be served from the right side. It shouldn't matter if one is eating in an upscale restaurant or not.
Beautiful spot & absolutely delicious!! My husband and I ate here for our anniversary. Reservation was during sunset, and we sat outside by the water. It was lovely. We both ordered filets (one order's filets were wrapped in bacon). They were cooked perfectly and tasted great. We also had a jumbo shrimp cocktail appetizer which was excellent, along with a dessert trio (so good!). Our server was attentive and polite, also knowledgeable about the menu. Everything about this meal was wonderful. Do yourself a favor and eat here ASAP!
Whenever we first walked in, we were immediately impressed by the fresh decorative flower arrangements, the stunning bar, the wine cellar, the spotless cleanliness, the modern atmosphere, and the open kitchen. The steaks were displayed in a glass cooler where you could admire their beautiful marbling and freshness. They also had fresh oysters on ice along the kitchen and desserts beautifully displayed, which made everything feel upscale and inviting. We sat outside, where we were treated to a gorgeous view of the bay and the boats. As if that wasn't enough, we even got to watch dolphins swimming through the harbor! Our server was friendly, attentive, and clearly well-trained. She kindly replaced my Coke without hesitation after noticing it had come from the outside bar and was flat. All six of us ordered the $25 Early Bird Special, which included a salad, warm sourdough bread with herb-infused olive oil, an entrée, and dessert. I expected my house salad to be pretty standard, but it was anything but. It came with fresh radishes and an absolutely incredible house dressing that really stood out. For my entrée, I chose the meatloaf. It was incredibly moist, packed with flavor, and topped with crispy fried onions and a balsamic glaze that paired perfectly. The combination reminded me of Thanksgiving dinner at my grandmother's house in the best way. The mashed potatoes were clearly made from fresh potatoes, with a few rustic chunks left in and seasoned perfectly. We finished with the cannolis, and they were the perfect way to end the meal. The shells were crisp and fresh, while the filling was rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. They tasted homemade and were finished with just the right touch of powdered sugar and chocolate. Even though we were already full, we couldn't stop eating them. They were easily some of the best cannolis I've had and left us ending the meal on a high note. To top it all off, it started pouring rain while we were dining outside, and our server did everything she could to make sure we still had an excellent experience. I would absolutely come back for the $25 Early Bird Special--it's one of the best values I've found. Next time, though, I'm definitely ordering one of those beautifully marbled steaks!

I will give it a strong 3.75 due to the price of $45 per person. Even though the food was good, I did not eat anything that blown me away and made me want to go back for seconds. I think they need to have some other options available that you can pre-order on the separate menu that would be fresh. The waitress that we had she was very attentive and she was super friendly.
Wow, wow! Had the scallop crusted sea bass and it just melts in your mouth!! So good I asked for the recipe! Salad and potatoes are fine but the herbed oil for the bread was so good! The service from Konner was great. Views of the skyline is so nice.
We are in Clearwater for my twin nephews college graduation, and my sister-in-law booked this spot because she had an amazing brunch here once--and it didn't disappoint! We had a party of 11. You valet upon arrival, and as soon as you walk in, you know you're in for something special. You see the sushi bar, steaks being prepped, and a lively bar area buzzing with energy. We chose to sit outside for the beautiful waterfront view. We had the pleasure of being served by Emily, and I won't forget her name--she was an absolute gem. Smiling, attentive, and truly present. I made a special request for my nephews, and without missing a beat, she said, "Of course!" with a big smile. The food was absolutely out of this world. I highly recommend the Caribbean Snapper, the bacon-wrapped filet, and the sushi boat--it's a must! And if you love bread like I do, you're in for a treat: hot, fresh, and delicious. You have to try this spot. It's now a must-visit for every trip I make to Clearwater. Huge thanks again to Emily!
I love the food here so much. Especially the brussel sprouts which are stir-fry-like in a soy sauce. I had the catch of the day which was the mahi-mahi & I haven't had a nice fresh one since I was in Waikiki beach in Honolulu - it was absolutely mouth watering delish! Their bruschetta with salad greens, thick cut fresh crunchy beef tomatoes, big thick cut fresh mozzarella was to die for, again, the freshest I've ever had prepared for a dish like this, the bruschetta was lightly toasted, however, did not have a flop but was not totally crunchy which I like so then I can pile high with more of the salad drenched vinaigrette. My bestie got the burger & he said he loved it. He also loved the candied maple bacon too. We sat at a high top in the bar area closest to the main entrance which was FCFS, very nice to grab that type of seating without a resy! We really wanted to sit outside at their bar on the water, however, it was def hoppin' out there full to the max! Our server was very attentive & the food came out fast knowing how crazy packed & busy the place was for a Saturday night dinner.
Was visiting Clearwater with some friends and we went for dinner. I recommend making a reservation. We sat outside and it was the perfect night for it. I got the filet mignon and wasabi mashed potatoes. And I need the recipe for those potatoes they were so good. We also got the truffle Mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. I personally didn't love the Mac and cheese but my friend did. Also got a Caesar salad and it was amazing. I got an espresso martini and I was so good!

Had dinner here on a Wednesday night with my family. Place is very big with multiple rooms, a large bar, a sushi bar and large outdoor deck. We were a party of eight. Food and service were excellent. Food was fresh made to order. Nice selection of appetizers. We tried the baked clams, grilled octopus, lobster bisque and Caesar salad. As for entrees, the lobster & shrimp pasta and coconut shrimp were the best. They serve fresh seafood several different ways. There is a desert case but we were too full. A full bar is available. I strongly recommend making a reservation. Self parking and valet are available. read more
Such a great surprise! The food was way more delicious than I expected, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice--the view is absolutely beautiful and really adds to the whole experience. They also offer valet parking, which is super convenient. The food is AMAZING! We had the meatloaf, the stuffed chicken, Cesar salad with chicken and the chicken sandwich with a side of truffle Mac n cheese! WOW the waitress Susie T was nice, she got our drinks checked on us. It did take a little while to order. The restaurant is clean, there's plenty of seating indoors and out. Couple of favorite things from Island Way- the bread & olive oil dip, the calamari, and service from our waitress. Everything else was just ok. Would have liked to sit outside, but it's the most requested and they only had indoor seating available. The steak and clams had funny texture, would probably pass on those choices next time. read more
Staple on Clearwater Beach for so many years! Seafood is always amazing! Last time I was there I had the hogfish, yum! We had a larger party for a birthday and the service was excellent! Nice views always. We considered having our rehearsal dinner here and they are on par with pricing for a preset menu compared to other local establishments of similar caliber. Their catering/party staff was easy to communicate with which is always appreciated by a busy bride! read more
From the moment we stepped into this Restaurant we knew we were in for something special. The entrance was large and charming . The hostesses were really nice and friendly. We were seated within 10 minutes. We chose to sit inside. We had great view of water. Our waitress, Libby, was super friendly. She walked with us with big smile. She was really attentive and super friendly towards our kids. For appetizers, we ordered calamari and crab dip. The dip was rich, tasty and delicious. The calamari had sweet sauce on it, but it was nice. For the main course, the stuffed chicken was a standout: tender, buttery, and paired with a creamy sauce that elevated the dish to another level. The grilled mahi-mahi was equally exceptional--flaky, moist, and accompanied by mashed potato that was rich without being overpowering. The Island style seafood bowl was also excellent choice. It was generous amount of seafood and served hot. Overall we had memorable experience at this restaurant. read more

Island Way is always a quality dining experience you can absolutely count on. They've been open for decades and know the key to success is high quality food and service, they deliver both. The restaurant decor is upscale and the location on the water provides optional indoor or outdoor choices. This restaurant is the sister restaurant to Salt Rock also located on the Intracoastal in Indian Shores Beach. Both EXCELLENT Seafood and Steak establishments! Highly Recommended read more

To start, the complimentary sourdough and herbed olive oil... *chefs kiss* I think the raw oysters and drinks were okay. Nothing too special. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and mashed potatoes were super yummy. The chilled seafood sampler was yummy as well. The service was prompt. We sat outside and had a nice view of the water and sunset! read more
