The portions are very big and the prices are so reasonable. Do not let the run down building dissuade you from trying this place! The veggies are fresh and well seasoned and the steak is always tender! The rice is not overly salty or greasy. I love this restaurant on busy nights when I can't cook as an alternative to fast food. I usually get rice, steak, carrots and broccoli. It's great every time. read more

Don't let the outside fool you! Drive through only. Delicious steak hibachi meal with fried rice and carrots. I was able to substitute the mushrooms for zucchini and carrots. It was a lot of food for the price and the girl taking the orders was super nice! read more

I can't stress it enough if you guys do not come to this restaurant and try their food you are so missing out. You guys just earned yourself a new loyal customer. It's ridiculous how delicious this hibachi is oh my god!!!! The atmosphere is so welcoming and you can just smell the food from the drive through speaker. Calming, delicious, amazing. Thank you for doing the lords work guys! read more

Fresh hibachi without all the oil and grease that makes you run to the bathroom when you go to Kobe (yuck). Their Yum Yum sauce is homemade and delish. Family owned and operated, so I rather give my money to the American dream than a big corporation. read more

Tried this new spot on a recent Tuesday nite. The inside dining area is closed, so it's take-out only. The building is a re-purposed former Wendy's, so ordering is easy at the drive thru, pick-up at the window. Service is super quick and friendly. And the food is terrific! We tried 2 of the hibachi combos - steak and shrimp, & chicken and shrimp. Each is served on a bed of fried rice with steamed broccoli & carrots. Shout out to the carrots - steamed super soft and deliciously sweet. The steak, chicken & shrimp are prepared in the traditional style - garlicky and soy-sauce salty. Everything is fresh; steak tender, chicken moist, a nice crunch to the shrimp. Each entree comes with great dipping sauce - in this case mustard- based. It'll be great when the dining room opens to experience table service of this delicious and well-prepared food. Meantime, take-out couldn't be easier. read more

Mino Express Hibachi Grill - a plate of food - Japanese Near Me - Pinellas Park, Florida

This restaurant is located in an old burger chain building. It was very clean. However, the food was very average. There are several Asian restaurants close by that are better. For $12 you can buy a better meal. read more

Attention P-Parkers.... If you haven't tried this small family owned restaurant yet don't wait any longer. Mino Express Hibachi Grill on 66th street just north of Park Blvd. It's Japanese Hibachi style cooking. Do to CoVid they are only offering drive through service. We had it tonight and they did not disappoint. Huge servings, very reasonably priced. Their yum-yum sauce is better then Kobe and Tsunami. They were very accommodating to this picky vegetarian who doesn't like mushrooms. We try to support small businesses as often as possible. Especially during these times. Highly recommend read more

This place was recommended to me by my sister-in-law who knows the owners because they are the parents of somebody in her class. They have been about five times and told us we had to try it. They told us about it about two months ago and we have already been five times. It is the exact same delicious flavors of going to a hibachi grill experience night out except now we are definitely not in the mood to go and sit around a table with strangers. We used to do that for special occasions and my kids would request it for their birthday dinners at different places around town but now we have not been out to eat at in months. This place fills the void. I called ahead and got take-out meals and took them to my friend instead of cooking dinner for her after her mom passed away. Everybody in my family loves it from my five-year-old to my tween to my teen to my husband. If your kids don't like to eat vegetables then they might love the sweet soft cooked carrots that come with every meal. They taste kind of like sweet potatoes. Having hibachi dinner without any of the time or steam coming off of the table into your hair and make up is awesome :-) Call ahead and it can be ready when you get there or it doesn't take too long if you use the drive-through if you go as an impulse stop. Yes the left overs are good. These are big portions. They don't have kid meals so have your kids split or eat their left overs!! read more

My husband and I have ordered food through the drive thru twice now. It's super easy and quick to get food here. We love that you get your choice of protein with the fixings included - sauce, rice, broccoli, and sweet carrots. You get about two-three meals' worth in one container. I wish they would include onions in the regular order, but you have to get them with zucchini on the side. Everything has always tasted fresh and made to order. Since it's so close to home and easy, we will definitely be coming back on the regular! read more

A new healthier drive-through option for the neighborhood. They are open right now even with all this craziness going on. Girl at the drive-through was very polite. I ordered the steak and chicken combination with fried rice, sweet carrots, broccoli and mushrooms. The fried rice is a little bit different than expected. I didn't see any egg in it. It kind of reminded me of regular white rice that was tossed in soy in teriyaki sauce and mix with corn and peas. The sweet carrots were super sweet so if you don't like lots of sugar on your carrots I suggest a different side. The chicken was really tender and flavorful. The steak was a little on the chilly side for this fillet mignon loving girl and didn't have a ton of flavor. The broccoli was cooked perfect nice and crunchy and seasoned well. The mushrooms were baby Portabella's in a little earthy for my taste. Overall it was a good lunch and enough for leftovers for another meal all $12! I'll definitely be back in probably try the chicken again with maybe one of their seafood options like shrimp read more

Tasty hibachi with generous yum yum sauce portion sizes. Quick and easy, I love this place.

This place saved my stomach these past 2 years while everyone else had to close up shop. I never even noticed it was there until they made it drive thru only and put the biggest signs up in their windows. Excellent marketing and fr AMAZING FOOD!!!! That sauce! Addictive. read more

Hibachi restaurants aren't all that new to the area, but drive thu Hibachi? That's what sets this place apart from the rest! That and the fact they give you 4oz of yummy sauce (they call it mino sauce) with each order. The hibachi isn't the best I've had, but it's definitely fresh and the portions are huge! The mino sauce is sweet and delicious and compliment your hibachi perfectly! The menu is limited, basically just different combinations of hibachi and sides of different vegetables. Proteins include chicken, steak, shrimp, and scallops. I've tried every combination except scallops and my favorite combo is the chicken and shrimp. The carrots that come with the hibachi are very sweet. Keep that in mind if you aren't that big on sweet because they are literally sugar cubes dressed up as carrots. Luckily I like it sweet but it's worth noting. Up until recently this place due to covid was drive thru only, but it seems recently they have opened up their dining room. I have yet to go inside because nothing beats the convenience of hibachi to go, but one day I may go check it out. read more

Excellent taste and portion for what you pay. And I will say the staff was soooooo very! I wish you had one in Tampa. I would be there way too often. The Mino sauce was delicious but really the food was so tasty it didn't even need it. And I had enough left over for lunch the next day and it reheated very, very well. I had the shrimp and chicken with rice, broccoli, mushrooms and onions. read more

It looked better than it tasted. The rice was kinda hard, and the chicken tasted dry. The yum yum sauce was good, and saved the chicken, but it was served warm instead of cold, and I thought that was odd. Maybe I'll try the hibachi chicken someday, but I'm not really in a rush. read more

YUM! This is the tenderest steak I think I've ever had. I usually default to the steak and shrimp. Huge portions (I always have enough for 2 meals) and fabulous flavor. This is close to my house, so it's starting to hit the main rotation here. Their hot sauce is good and so is their ginger sauce. You can't go wrong with this one. read more

Tried Mino for the first time tonight and it was excellent! We got a teriyaki chicken dinner and a hibachi steak dinner. The portion size was perfect, I would call it huge but definitely very generous and surely enough to satisfy. Every bit of the food was fresh and delicious. The Mino sauce was great and my favorite, the ginger sauce, was phenomenal. The young lady working the window was friendly and happy to add a second dinner to our order once my partner decided he wanted a meal too. Top notch experience, a must try! read more

Phenomenal , I always drive by but finally went through the drive through my husband got the steak and I got the chicken with a side of zucchini and onions . Mino Express Hibachi Grill - Hibachi Chicken with Vegetables - Japanese Near Me - Pinellas Park, Florida

My grandson and I ordered take out, ordered chicken and scallops and steak shrimp. The photo shows sea scallops but sadly it was bay scallops, so I was not happy. Shrimp were also tiny and over cooked, it came with carrots we asked if we could substitute extra broccoli but there was barely any broccoli. Maybe 5 florets. The sauce is delicious food was edible but pretty expensive for mediocre shrimp and scallops. read more

Best Hibachi to go I have gotten in the surrounding area and the business staff is friendly! I will definitely return! Good food, good portions and the sauce is great! read more

This place is great! It is like a short version of Kobe Japanese steakhouse (I say this because it doesn't have the salad, soup, noodles)I had the steak and shrimp that comes with rice, carrots, broccoli and 4oz of their Mino sauce (yum, yum) and it was delicious. My husband had steak and chicken and he was pleasantly surprised as well. I also ordered their ginger sauce and was great. The people were very nice. It is drive thru only and very quick for that meal! Definitely will go back! read more

Friendly service and good food. Im a pretty picky water if that helps. I got chicken teriyaki and I honestly did not have a bad piece of chicken (normally I get chewy or rubbery pieces that gross me out from other places) my husband on the steak teriyaki and he said very good. I couldn't finish all of mine. Huge portions. I did not find the carrots overly sweet, they were just right. I hate carrots but these were good. Mino sauce was quite tasty. read more

Good food!! Nice people!! Have tried multiple dishes and have not been disappointed with any yet.

Rating the food and drive through service due to being not able to go inside. Super friendly drive through, I always ask for the possibility to have less seasoning or no seasoning and sauces on the side due to my HBP, they said no problem at the order window. Sometimes when I ask for this and other places have said no problem, once I get home, I am disappointed. Mino did not disappoint . My food (scallops stir fry) was minimally seasoned and sauce on the side, great flavors still emerged. My wife had the teriyaki chicken, ordered as is, no special requests. Very nice. The sweet carrots are something that I could eat with just about every meal. They gave us an array of the house made sauces. I am skeptical when I am told sauces are made in house. I was able to taste that the teriyaki sauce was made due to the caramelization of the soy sauce. The signature Mino sauce seems to be a mayo sauce and also is very good. The ginger sauce......, OMG, this was the star for me, just right. I will be back to try other items. And just like the other reviews super friendly people. Will be back, thanks. read more
