First time here. Even at 2:00 p.m. the food was fresh and warm. Everything tasted great, love their broasted chicken. They have multiple food stations to choose from...I mean, whole tables of salads, desserts, american food, taco bar, etc. The employees, cooks, waitresses were awesome. The cafe is huge, but it is also a cozy environment.

We never saw our server. I did here a girl w red hair tell tran several times table 5 was theirs. Never came to the table..disappointed

Food was good but no fish options on buffet except crab salad. They did have tarter sauce, cocktail sauce and lemon so I really looked for the fish option.

Very good chicken noodle soup. Nice pieces of chicken with carrots and celery. Yumm!

Saints Avenue Cafe was a very pleasant surprise. A much better experience than your typical chain buffet. Restaurant was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Vegetables on the salad bar were fresh. Some of the items looked like they were your standard pre-made items. There are two buffet tables of main dishes. A wide variety. We tried chicken noodle soup, meat loaf, beef and noodles, green beans with bacon were all homemade. Fried chicken was very good. Mashed potatoes were made from real potatoes! There were many items we didn't have room to try this trip. Tacos, spaghetti, mac and cheese, and plenty more that I can't remember. Children and adults should all be able to find something that they enjoy. No buffet is going to be "the best meal" ever. What the Saints Avenue Cafe provides is very good midwest comfort food with great taste. I recommend giving them a try. We will definitely return.

Standard buffet fare, but the fried chicken is good. The service is very friendly and it's very clean.

The food is good, not great, but there is plenty to choose from. For a buffet it is standard fare, not overly priced but good comfort food.

A pretty standard, low end American buffet, that is known for subpar chicken in Boone, would rather go to Pizza Ranch lol

It still feels like a Golden Corral inside, but the kids were quick to spot that the chocolate fountain was missing.

So, this is a place where you pick all the raw foods you want in your dish, as well as all the sauces you want. YOU are the person who controls what you get. The food is cooked on a large, very hot grill. It takes less than 5 minutes after the cook gets it and it's done. The food area was clean and well stocked. I got my takeout meal with a large order of potstickers. All tasted great. I watched as an order was prepared for DoorDash. It looked really good. I may try that sometime in the future. Lot parking. Price for lunch is $13 plus tax. Get the app and use it for free food. It's all you want to eat when you dine in. I believe the dinner comes with soup or salad. HuHot A Family Fave…read more Our kids go to college in Ames and they love HuHot Mongolian BBQ. It's quickly become a family favorite. Since it's a self-serv Mongolian BBQ you don't have to wait to order and you can customize your stir fry dish any way you like. Buffet items include various meats, fish, tofu, assorted veggies and various sauces and oils. Everything is then stir fried on a giant wok. It comes out hot and ready to eat in about 5 minutes. Best of all my twenty somethings and their "plus ones" can eat as much as they want, and I pay one low price. Yay! It's like Benihana but better: faster, cheaper and more casual. Perfect for what we want.

4/16/26 6:00 p.m…read more Online Order for Pick Up Food: Everything was absolutely delicious! We ordered orange chicken, sesame chicken, chicken with green beans, 8pc crab rangoon, 4pc teriyaki chicken, bar-b-q spare ribs, chicken lo mein, and a side of sweet and sour sauce. For starters, the teriyaki chicken is my new favorite lol. It's not dry or overcooked and it's cooked thoroughly. The bar-b-q spare ribs are super tender and smothered in sauce; so good! We were pleasantly surprised with the orange chicken as well. It's not overly in your face orange flavored nor is it too sweet. The sesame chicken is also really well flavored. The noodles in the lo mein were firm and soft at the same time with great flavor. The chicken in it was tender and thankfully, the noodles weren't overloaded with veggies. Honestly, I'm not big on crab rangoon, but these are good! They're filled to the brim and really creamy. Chicken with green beans exceeded my expectations and it will definitely be on my "always order" list lol. Portion sizes were more than I expected as well. They really pack the to-go containers and the meat itself is good, large chunks. I can't wait to try more of the menu! Service: We were promptly greeted when we walked in and the wait time was minimal. The staff was pleasant and greeted us with a smile as well. While ordering online, it was a bit of a pain and it tells you to add a tip before checkout, which was almost not an option to opt out if you wanted to. Our order was correct and done quickly, even though they were busy. Ambiance: It's not the biggest inside, but that didn't stop others from dining in. It was packed for dinner rush and smelled amazing. Overall, it was kept clean, no debris or old food on the floor or tables. The menu is large and easy to navigate. While it was full, it wasn't uncomfortable; not elbow to elbow.

We have never had a bad dinner here the takeout was always correct and the food was deliciousread more
