I came in today expecting to just get a simple lotus tattoo but came out with a piece of art. Jim Judeikis is a skilled artist and always goes above and beyond. The staff is also very friendly here. Overpriced for a crooked piercing... Came here with a friend to get some piercings: I got my septum pierced and my friend got her tragus done. It was 67 dollars for a piercing - much more expensive than the 40 I've experienced at other locations, namely long island. The piercer was impetuous and had no regard for desired appearance. He did not ask where she wanted it done or mark where he was going to pierce my friends tragus, and as a result she was not at all happy with it's placement on her ear. As for my septum, I thought it would be best for the piercer to decide the best placement as that is a less superficial piercing. But the whole process was over in a few seconds (literally) and as a result the retainer jewlery is crooked and looks incredibly awkward. I only hope that when I change out the jewlery it does not look so bad. The only upside to this place was the sterility and the PS2...but even at that the piercer was dogmatic with regards to sterile procedures. He was loud and boisterous to my friend when she brushed back some hair to see her newly pierced ear, nearly yelling at her to sterilize it. Though the sterility was appreciated, the attitude was not. In short, would not recommend for any type of piercing. read more

Tried to get a tattoo here and left because of the incredible rudeness from the man at the front desk. I wanted a simple design- 3 words in handwriting. My friend wanted a similar phrase, but was conflicted between two options. His response was "the artists are busy people and won't draw you two options". Here's my answer: I'm not letting you put something permanent on my body, and it is in HANDWRITING, it is not a drawing. I ended up going to deville ink and they were so welcoming. They drew me 6 different options in less than 5 minutes, gave me at least 5 options for curvature and size and let me replace it on my body as many times as I wanted. The whole process probably took 30 minutes. Getting a tattoo is a big deal for many people. A shop should be empathetic to that fact and understand that not everyone does this every day. However, they should be willing to serve everyone regardless. In addition to the lack of willingness to work with a design, he also made rude comments about how little we knew about the process. His friends were also in the shop at the time and they (receptionist included) were mocking the man behind me that was interested in a tattoo (that was clearly mentally disabled). COMPLETELY turned off. I was so turned off by the attitude from the receptionist that they lost the business from myself and my friend, and I will definitely not recommend them to others. read more

I got my first tattoo at Saints & SInners one month ago. It was a mixed experience. First of all, the front desk girl was not friendly when I went to make an appointment, which was not until the next day. On the day of the tattoo (Matt was my artist), I was quoted a price comparable to those in several cities, so that was reassuring. During the first few minutes of tattooing, Matt kept on saying "oops" which I thought was unprofessional. He then discovered a broken spring on his needle, which was changed. The rest of the process is quite uneventful. One month later, there are a few areas of "blow out" on my tattoo which makes the design look not as sharp. This is a rookie mistake, according to the internet, and while I don't regret getting a tattoo, I seriously wouldnt' recommend this place to others. This spot was recommended by friends and I was happy with cleanliness and skill of the artist. However, I found the staff unprofessional, rude (smoke breaks while I was waiting for my appointment, when I asked about thoughts on placement "well your ass hurts") and most of all the artist, Christian was rude when I wanted to slightly change my extremely simple design and rudely said "so basically you don't want what what you said you want." This was after I had explained I was getting the tattoo to commemorate my infant daughter who died last year. So insensitive and though I like the tattoo it's not exactly what I wanted because he bullied me when I asked him to slightly change it. I should have left and gone somewhere where the artist would work with me until it was exactly what I wanted. read more

Stopped into Saints & Sinners on a whim to enquire about piercings. I'd previously been to see Cheyne about eighteen months previously and had a great experience. On this occasion, I was wanting to re-establish an old tragus piercing that I could no longer get jewellery through, and add a new daith. Obviously tattoo shops sometimes get reputations for being intimidating places to walk into, but that is absolutely not the case here - everyone is really friendly and helpful. I have had many body piercings over the years, but Cheyne is by far my favourite piercer. He spent plenty of time talking me through my options and pricing, and found some gold jewellery choices to suit my personal preferences. He took great care to explain the procedure before and during so nothing came as a surprise, and gave really clear aftercare instructions while making me feel really comfortable to follow up with him if needed. Of course, the piercing wasn't without some discomfort, but it was super quick and uncomplicated. Totally recommend! read more

The people here were really nice, but they f&%8ed up 3 of my piercings big time. I went in to get both nipples and VCH. The VCH is beautiful but the jewelry is wrong and way too short that it took almost a year to heal when it should have taken around 6 weeks. It's so short that I one of the balls is never visible and irritates me terribly. It's not even close to the right size. My nipples were done but aren't in the same place on each nipple and one is completely crooked!!! The jewelry again was wrong (slightly too short) that eventually the ball had completely embedded into me even when swelling was completely gone. I don't understand how professional piercers could get it so wrong. read more

i'm on my 3rd and largest tattoo and had been shopping around a bit. when i walked in, i instantly fell into a sleu of jest and banter with the front desk guy with lovely scalp ink. i'm the kind of person that needs to go on positive vibes to pick a tattoo place, so once i spoke with the actual ink guy, matt that was it. these dudes rock already! he was super helpful, knew exactly what he was talking about, had great designs (took time to help me out with my own too), and was really nice too. great rapore and conversation, he honestly put my mind at ease while sitting there for 2 1/2 hours of utter pain. i'll recommend him and the shop any time. thanks guys! read more

I went in today to see if Jim had any availability for a tattoo. At first it looked like he was booked for the day with appointments, and he was. But they squeezed me in right then without risking going over for his next appointment. Jim was the first person to give me a tattoo when I was 18. That was 17 years ago! He was at a different shop then so I was really happy to find out he owns Saints and Sinners. Highly recommend getting your tattoo there. I was referred here by another coworker. Jim Judeikis came highly recommended for his attention to detail. I knew exactly what I wanted and Jim was very accommodating. The detail of his work is incredible. I have had many compliments and people are amazed at the detail in my tattoo. Wow! Surprised at the last review! I walked in last Saturday, 4/7/12 just to get a quote on a cover-up for a tattoo that I regretted the moment I had it done, back in 2008. Christian offered some really good ideas and solid advice and I ended up with one of the most beautifully detailed, colorful butterfly tattoo's I've ever seen. I've had about 4 tattoo's done, and you really have to trust the artistry of someone who knows what they're doing. Tattoo's over time can really fade and get dull and blurry when they are too small. (I have one on my back that needs to be covered for this reason) If your artist is suggesting a larger sized tattoo for the sake of it lasting longer and looking better longer, you should really take his/her advice. They are the experts and know what they're talking about! A tattoo is forever and it's worth spending the extra money on a larger tattoo that will look awesome forever. Personable, honest (help me decide not to get a tattoo on my hand due to how they fade) & remembered things about us from our first visit when we booked our appointment. Dwyane, our tattoo artist, made us feel relaxed and got to know us. Also helped research my Sanskrit word before we started to ensure it was accurate. AND the other tattoo artist who were tattooing others around us even made convo with us. Seriously, a place where you are not judged for having 0 or 1 tat, honest on your results, professional yet relaxing & clean. This place really made a dream come true for me. Many years ago my sister was going to come to this shop to get a shamrock tattoo for her 18th birthday, but died before she could get it. We do something to celebrate her each year on her anniversary and this year it was a tattoo-- one I had been talking about getting for ages. Even before I was in the shop I was so impressed with how they accommodated me so I could get the tattoo scheduled on her anniversary-- with very little notice. They also looked at the images and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. The shop is beautiful, clean, and displays of a variety of artwork from the artists that work there. When I came in my artist, Jim, was there to greet me, along with a guy who checked me in and gave me some paperwork and info about aftercare. After the paperwork was settled we followed Jim up to his room, past the drafting table. He was patient, knowledgeable, and just an all around cool guy. The process itself was a breeze and he sailed through my tattoo-- doing it in less time than he had originally anticipated. My tattoo turned out exactly the way I envisioned it and I would recommend not only the shop, but Jim. My experience was everything I wanted it to be-- fun and stress-free. Many of my friends had tattoos here as well, with different artists, and sing similar praises, which really tells me that this is a very special shop. I came in a couple weeks ago to get one of my piercings taken out. I just moved here from Colorado and one of my piercings went from straight to crooked. I wanted it taken out so I could let it heal and then get it re pierced. The piercer tried for about 15 secs to get it out and then just said, "I can't get it out. It must be embed. I'll return your money." I have had over 25 piercings in my life and have friends who are piercers and none of them would ever turn away a client like that. If I can't get my piercing out and he couldn't get my piercing out then what am I suppose to do? Luckily I went home to Colorado for a few days and went to my piercer. It took him 5 seconds to get out my piercing. It was not embed at all. The piercer at saints and sinners obviously doesn't know what he is doing and doesn't care. I would really like to find a new piercer in Baltimore but after this experience I'm really skeptical because I don't want a piercer that doesn't know his shit. I want to know that if I come in for help that the piercer will do what it takes to help me instead of just sending me out the door to figure it out on my own. I got my first tattoo done here by Jim. Everyone was super friendly and professional, I can't recommend Jim enough. He's been tattooing for a really long time and it shows! He was extremely knowledgeable and even gave me a little history lesson on tattoos. He has a really cool style too, I had a simple design and he executed it absolutely perfectly, in a way faster time than I thought it would take. In addition, the tattoo machine was very modern and quiet which I liked. The shop was also really neat and clean and put me at ease. Saints and Sinners, Baltimore Fells Point shop is probably the best shop I have been in, in very long time. All of the tats I have are more than twenty five years old and decided to get one of them covered on my chest. What I thought would be a tough job to cover, seemed to be second nature for my artist, Dwayne Shannon. He has been tattooing for more than fifteen years, and knew exactly what he was doing. The end result after four hours of laying on the table was absolute perfection. IMHO, Japanese art is a specific style and design that takes years of dedication and practice to get right and Dwayne nailed it! I have had nothing but compliments from everyone that has seen it, even other tattoo artists... While I was getting my work done, my wife also got a tat of cherry blossoms on the top of her foot from Jim Judeikis. She was impressed with his ability to put her at ease and draw the design on her foot and is extremely happy with it. The Sales Staff (Shawn) at Saints and Sinners as well as all of the other artists were very professional, courteous, and down right awesome artists. I like the fact that they charge by the hour and not by the piece, this says something about the shop. They aren't concerned with pumping out tattoos by the dozens each day, they are more concerned with quality, perfection and customer satisfaction. I will definely recommend them to anyone interested in getting a tattoo. This shop is extremely clean, have cool merchandise and is a great atmosphere for getting a tat. I popped in here on a whim to get a memorial tattoo. I was told that Jim was available and that He would be a while. I've never had getting a tattoo be a quick process. So I killed a little time, walking around Fells and going to Whole Foods. I came back and Jim and I talked about ideas, a bit later he came back with a sketch, perfection. We got to it. Now, I consider myself easy to tattoo, I'm not squirmy and I can usually get myself in a zone, where I just fall asleep, coupled with JIm's light touch and unusual quietness (which I love, I hate small talk), this was one of the best tattoo experiences I've ever had. Great shop with awesome artists. I was just in to get my third tattoo from Saints and Sinners. This time around I got a 10 hour quarter sleeve (by far the largest tattoo I have, compared to my three other small ones). Matt Taylor was the best! I left all the work up to him. I consulted with my main idea, likes,dislikes and just let him have full artistic reign. I couldn't be happier. Its stunning. Matt was extremely professional and friendly. Went in to get a new nose ring as mine had fallen out. They had a great selection of choices and the person took the time to explain the choices to me. he obviously had a great deal of knowledge about the product and wanted me to be happy with my choice. He inserted the piercing for what I thought was a reasonable fee ($10) and it did not hurt at all like it usually does to get a new piercing in. The _only_weird thing is that the person ringing me up asked me if I wanted to add a tip to the card and how much I wanted to add _while_ the person who helped me was standing right behind him, listening. I did add a tip, and would have given the same amount either way, but I don't want a waiter standing there staring at me while I am writing the tip amount on a credit card, and that is sort of what this felt like.
