I first heard of Fidelity tattoo in 2018 when I first heard of ear curation and was looking for a place I. Baltimroe, and have been wanting to come here. I brought my friend for her second lobe piercing. First of all the place is adorable - it's women owned and the jewelry is designed by the owner - Ashley. The gold ones are pure gold which helps justify the $150 for one piece. The only piercer is now Sydney and she was lovely. I didn't get my ears pierced but my friend who did had a great experience. They are part of the Association of American Piercers. I believe it's $75 for the piercing which is higher than I expected but things have gotten so expensive with the pandemic. They do ask for a tip upon payment. They will map dots and get your placement right. They offer saline for sale. I had a great time helping my friend get her piercing. Honestly would buy plants here. They had a green Keurig and snacks. You need to make an appointment - no walk ins! read more

I needed a new helix stud and navel ring, so I looked up a shop and Fidelity is up the road. I'm glad I checked their site and social media because it is appointment only, which I appreciate. I was able to make an appointment that day with Dan. Checking in was a breeze and Dan was very nice. We were both masked and sanitized hands when I came in after he let me in. I came in for jewelry but got so much knowledge that I've never gotten before and some amazing piercing care. The atmosphere in Fidelity is fantastic, plants everywhere and music is great. It's a neat little spot in Middle River. I enjoy knowing that their jewelry is North American sourced so it is quality. I learned things about jewelry and after care I'd never known and I've had one of my piercings for a decade now. I will definitely be back for more jewelry but also future piercings because of the vibe and the kindness shown while I was there. Knowing about the sterilization process is a big thing that they emphasize and it made me even comfortable being told what was happening every step of the way. I found Rebekah at Fidelity Tattoo on Instagram in search of a Baltimore-area artist that could do semi-realistic-but-not-fine-line color botanical tattoos, so I was delighted when she responded to my Google form submission for a custom piece within ~2 days. She let me know that she doesn't get a lot of color clients, so she was excited to work with me. We settled on a date a month away over email, and I paid a $100 deposit. Unlike other artists, she doesn't send sketches ahead of time due to past experience with people stealing her pieces; while different than what I'm used to, I'd seen her portfolio on IG and my request was basically a modified flash piece, so I had a good idea of what to expect, so not the end of the world. Unfortunately, on the day of the appointment, she emailed me to let me know she was sick and would like to reschedule, which was as detailed in her pre-appointment policies, so we rescheduled for two weeks later. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, I pulled up to a just-off-the road unassuming standalone building with a gravel driveway that backs into a creek. The inside contrasted with the exterior greatly; it was homey, beautiful, and intricately decorated in an aesthetically cluttered yet clean manner, covered in plants and Victorian-style kitschy framed art and mirrors. Each artist had a private room, but I came on a Sunday afternoon, so I didn't see any other clients or artists. Rebekah was ready to get started with outlines in hand; unfortunately, there was a miscommunication about what tattoo I wanted (I wanted two flowers coming off one stem on my forearm/she had drawn separate flowers for each forearm), so after waiting a few minutes for the re-draw and then a slight tweak, we began. Her room was relatively small, so she asked my partner to sit just outside the room rather than at my side while she worked. As she started, Rebekah let me know that she normally doesn't talk much while working, and we settled into a relative silence. She tattooed for about 2.5 hours, with three 5-10 minute long breaks; as we approached the end of her time estimate, I was still missing ~40% of the color, and she asked if it would be alright to schedule a second session. This was my biggest tattoo to date, and despite the bactine use, I was really feeling that machine, so I was relieved to schedule a pt two. A part of me wishes that Rebekah had told me this would likely take two sessions so I could plan for two separate healing periods (oh, the dreaded itch then peel...). Yet, I think it was the right choice considering how angry my skin was - the yellow daffodil looked completely pink - it was already getting dark outside, and I was quite tired from the pain. Because she herself stated that she doesn't work with color as often, I suspect she might not have realized how long it would take, especially since, per Rebekah, yellow is a hard color to work with. She initially stated I should come back after two weeks as soon as the peeling finished, but after calendar-checking, she could only offer a slot four weeks away - again, disheartening to prolong the healing process, especially as summer and mandated pool time approach. Nonetheless, I understood, so I let my incomplete tattoo heal for a few weeks, and a month later, I came back for my next session. On another Sunday with no other clients in sight, this session was much shorter, lasting only 1.5 hours with one five minute break to soak up some bactine. We had a few exchanges but I managed to doze off, and we didn't talk much. In the end, the final product turned out better than I hoped, and I'm enjoying my beautiful daffodil tattoo a few days later before it inevitably starts peeling. After session one, I was nervous about her coloring since she uses a stippling technique for color packing; while I expected it to be less bold than my other pieces, some sections looked splotchy. However, in session two, assumedly because my skin was much less angry and she could properly see what she was doing, she touched up the color and filled in the previous gaps. I will be recommending her to friends that are looking for similar nature-centric pieces. One perk that I appreciated from the shop was they accept card without a user-end card usage fee, which I've encountered at my previous artists, who encouraged cash instead. All in all, I had a great experience getting a custom piece from Rebekah, who was receptive to feedback, easy to work with, and made me feel comfortable. I would take away a hypothetical half star for the lack of scheduling foresight; a better solution would have been scheduling both sessions in advance. On the other hand, I also know that she's a relatively new artist (I think 2-3 years experience) who's developing her skills, which was accurately reflected in pricing and amount of time I spent under the machine, but she over-delivered in the final product, so that's why I rounded up! read more

This is more than likely the only place I'm going to come to for piercings going forward. I wish I came here for my nose piercing but I had no clue it existed until one of my friends told me about it. All five star ratings and for good reason. I called because I have a pesky nose bump where my nose piercing is. I've called several of piercing shops including the place I went to, all of them informed me "oh it will go away on its own" and hung up. Gee thanks. Fidelity was the only place that recommended coming in, making sure my piercing wasn't infected, that it was pierced at a good angle, and had several of new jewelry for me to choose from. A lot of places don't offer gold jewelry for whatever reason and not that surgical steel is bad for piercings or whatever but I personally would prefer gold. And the friends that have nose piercings recommended me only using gold. So I got white gold! (Because I love the way silver looks on me but I still wanted it to be gold to white gold duh lol) Dan (piercer) and Emma (front desk) are so nice, knowledgeable and friendly! I feel taken advantage of. I brought my daughter here to get her first piercing. The folks here treated us very well, were kind, patient, and professional. The piercer did a good job of explaining the process and they use best practices for sterilization. The problem was the price. The piercing itself was a normal price: $50. No problem. The jewelry was silly expensive. $150 for a 14 gauge solid olive leaf design in titanium. Looking elsewhere online this price seems about 2x the price of other similar titanium jewelry and at least $25 over any of the jewelry that Fidelity themselves show online. I'm good with paying for quality. I take ownership of the fact that we should have asked how much the jewelry cost, but to find out later that this price was probably jacked up for no reason really stings. We got the piercing, paid, and left. I won't be coming back and won't be recommending them to anyone. read more

Fidelity is a wonderful body art studio. They have experts on staff for various tattoo styles, as well as a piercing specialist. My favourite point is that they are a small, woman-owned local business, with mainly female tattoo artists. My first appointment was with Ashleigh Pfarr, who is extremely talented. Whenever I see her work, I always marvel at the colours and shading. Her work resembles a painting! I came to her for a ouija planchette piece, which I originally saw on her Instagram. She freehanded a version of the sketch on me, and finished everything extremely fast! Although she worked fast, she did not skimp on details or depth. It is a truly beautiful, spooky gothic piece! I can't believe she just drew it on me free hand, then inked it on. Ashleigh, as I said, is amazing with colour. She does great with multiple genres, but her work with florals is especially beautiful. I've also had work done by Jayne Steiger, who is a budding artist. I commissioned a small, cutesy spool of thread, which she did on my shoulder blade. She is great with colour, is super sweet, and she has a lot of potential. She would be great to commission for your fandom-based or cutesy designs! If you're in the Baltimore area, I highly recommend this charming little shop. Beautiful shop with the sweetest staff! Everyone was so kind and patient while I had an existential crisis about what jewelry I wanted. I came in to re-pierce my lobes that ended up just needing a tiny stretch as opposed to a whole new pierce, so I figured I might as well think about starting the stacked lobes I was eventually going to come back for. It wasn't until I was quoted nearly $800 that I had an out of body experience and decided to just get jewelry for my existing holes. Unfortunately, I only budgeted $150 (plus tip) for the appointment because I assumed that would cover the re-piercing of my lobes and jewelry, but ended up paying $250 (plus tip) just for the jewelry and it was just a bit of a shock to the system. So I just recommend that everyone be prepared for how pricey the jewelry is! The surprise was the price of the fancy flat back post being a separate cost on top of the earring itself. All in all, they're the best - just educate yourself and budget properly before you pop in :-) PS - be nice to them & read their policies carefully! read more

Dan pierced my nipples, and I love them! He was super professional and talked me through the entire process (and he's also incredibly careful with keeping his space sanitary). You get to choose the color of your piercing because he oxidizes the titanium. Honestly, the piercings didn't hurt, and I've heard horror stories from other piercers. My new nose piercing fell out, and even though I didn't have it done here Daniel joyfully came to the rescue! I didn't do my research and had my piercing done at the tattoo convention. I didn't understand the stud in my nose and it fell out. I was overjoyed that they had real gold/diamonds and were willing to sterilize it and put it in for me! I got my nose pierced when I was younger but had removed the jewelry and it quickly closed up. I have wanted to do it again for years, but never followed through. I mentioned it to my husband and son and both said I should do it again. Since I'm fairly new to Baltimore (2 yrs) I wasn't sure where to go, but someone at the coffee shop where my son works suggested Fidelity. So glad they did!!! They had a huge jewelry selection! Do not go here for your tattoos or piercings. First my wife and daughter couldn't get their piercings done because she is only her step mom, even though she had her marriage certificate. Then when my wife is home sick in bed with the coronavirus she forgot to cancel her appointment so they charged her card $150, when she called they basically said oh well. I've been to Fidelity for three large tattoos by the owner, Ashleigh, and a daith piercing by Dan Chanthongtip. J could not be more pleased with my experiences at Fidelity. I'll start with the tattoos- all three were very meaningful, custom pieces and Ashleigh went over and above to ensure that the artwork met my expectations. She was willing to make it a collaborative process, adjusting sizing, placement, and coloration based on my feedback so that I was a happy customer. In all of the times I have worked with Ashleigh it has been a real pleasure. She takes pride in her work and has real artistic talent, drawing by hand with a natural eye for color and saturation. I would never get another tattoo done unless Ashleigh could do it! In fact, I moved to Pennsylvania three years ago and I still make the drive to Middle River to see her. My most recent experience at Fidelity was with Dan Chanthongtip for a daith piercing. I had done quite a bit of research on the piercing before making the appointment. Dan was wonderful to work with, showing me the many different jewelry options and explaining the pros and cons of each. I truly appreciated the selection of quality jewelry available at the shop with genuine gold and gemstones. I wanted my piercing to look clean and elegant and I had many options to choose from which was refreshing. Dan walked me through every step of the process, even explaining the need for sterile gloves, markers, etc so that I was assured of a sterile and clean piercing experience. He did not have to take the time to explain that but I greatly appreciated it. He provided very clear after care instructions and I never felt pressured or rushed during the appointment. Went here about a month and half ago to get my quarter sleeve tattoo my Allisin! The shop is super clean, staff is awesome and really nice, and Allisin is an absolutely amazing artist! I made an appointment to get a consultation on an old tattoo. I just got a good feeling about this place based on some other reviews from various sites. I got the consultation and on a whim decided to get a helix piercing. Sydney was absolutely great! She was kind, she was patient, professional, thorough and it was over in a pinch. I've been to Fidelity Tattoo Co. three times now and each time has been lovely. The staff has been lovely, wonderful and attentive. Even while waiting for my appointment with Jayne, the young lady at the counter (Emily? I believe) has awesome customer service skills. She handled each and every client that came in for a tattoo or piercing with skill, smiling and providing them with ALL the information they asked her about. They've just gone through a remodel and the studio is clean, neat, wonderfully decorated and each artist has their own room. I've had three tattoos by Jayne Steiger and they are amazing. I first reached out to her via instagram once I saw her online portfolio and she created the most amazing Skyfall tattoo for me. I only saw a preview of the design the night before but oh honey, let me tell you there was nothing I wanted to change. I work in the operating room, so I know all about sterility. After doing a lot of research, I decided on Dan at Fidelity Tattoos to do my cartilage piercings. I was not disappointed! Firstly, the variety of jewelry to choose from is immense. So many styles, sizes, and prices...it was hard to make a decision! Dan is great at helping out and explaining everything. He walked me through every step of the procedure and showed me all of his supplies before we got started. His sterile technique is perfect!
