The piercings were quick and look great. I got a conch and forward helix. The jewelry selection was small, but the options were pretty! He said they are getting a shipment this weekend. Tony is a great artist and very good at keeping the conversation weird so you're not aware of the time passing as he creates a masterpiece. I kept waiting for him to say that we'd have to come back some other day to have it finished, but he powered through. That must be hell on his back, spending all that time bent over, or he's part machine. Either way, I appreciate that he did finish the tattoo in one day. The shop is located on a sketchy street but once upstairs inside of the shop it is spacious and clean. I was lucky enough to find street parking around the corner. This is a cash only establishment and their is an ATM outside if you need to withdraw. My friend and I were getting small tattoos on our wrist and the prices were kind of steep - granted we did just walk in and we are in downtown Baltimore, so kind of expected.... When Danny (tattoo artist ) was about to start, a piercing appointment came in so he got that done right away. His technique was good, he was very clean, using new needles and gloves - it took less then ten minutes for two of my mini tattoos. I was charged $80. My friend was charged $60 for her one cross tattoo. Danny was great and had good customer service but I probably would not come back for the prices.

For context, I've had ear piercings, navel, and tongue and all others were a quick and relatively painless experience with no complications. When I got my tragus, it was a nightmare the entire time. The shop was clean and everyone was nice. The initial piercing went smooth and the pierced went to go thread the jewelry through. They lost the connection between the needle and jewelry and began to dig around in my ear for the hole. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and a high tolerance for mistakes in the workplace. We're all human. But the piercer continued to fiddle until the friend accompanying me said something because I had tears rolling down my face. He decided to re-pierce the hole since he couldn't find it. At this point my ear is pounding and already inflamed, but I was already there so I said go for it. It was super painful. But we got the ring through and left. Vowing never to come back. The tragus didn't heal great. It was very slow and developed a bump at the puncture site. I won't blame this on the piercer, since it could have been a number of things. But the area was very traumatized and I haven't had any issues healing in the past. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone to get pierced here and surely won't be back myself. The tragus eventually did heal and it looks good now. The placement was good and the piercer was nice, which is why I gave this experience 2 stars instead of 1.

Here are some more information that may help you determine if Brilliance Piercing is the studio for your piercing needs: they require appointments for any type of service (no drop-ins/walk-ins); they only work with jewelry they have for sale (I believe this is to ensure that the quality of the jewelry is top-notch and they know exactly the metal content - optimal healing conditions); when you have an appointment, you can't bring anyone with you; their jewelry are quite pricey, but not much more than other studios around. Their team is always upbeat, friendly, patient and knowledgeable: they will answer any question you may have and also always ensure you are aware of anything important regarding your piercing after care, etc. They have a wide selection of jewelry appropriate for whatever piercing you're getting! The piercer also did not tell me a lot about the healing process; she only handed me their booklet on it, telling me to keep it clean. Not worth the money, which was about $80 for the service and stud. If you want to get your ears pierced, that is fine, but do not come here for facial piercings.
