I recently relocated from Houston so this place felt like a little piece of home!! Sarah did my piercing and put my jewelry on. She was nice and patient and maintained her professionalism as she was the only one piercing at the time I was there. It was $40 to my earlobe and $10 for my helix jewelry. Quite affordable to me. I will be back for more piercings I plan on getting!

I texted him my reference photos and paid my deposit. Cut to today, when my appointment was scheduled and I get an email from Aldo saying he never got my photos and that id need to send them over now so he could be ready for today. He also apparently wrote my number down wrong which is why he waited a whole month to get to me. I wasnt happy to learn that normally he spends a week designing a tattoo and for me it would only be a day but I trusted the artist. Thats until I got there and saw that all he did was plug one of my reference photos into an AI software to design the whole thing. He was the one who messed up but he did everything he could to blame me. An experienced tattoo artist wouldnt say "what makes you think i can draw this". This is my last straw with this shop. The tattoo rooms are dirty and they didnt change needles when 2 people I knew got tatted at the same time. I'd pass this shop over.

It truly looks like a biker patch and Jeremy could not be more delighted to carry his brother with him (ashes were mixed into the ink!). The shop is fairly spacious. I had no problem navigating the space in my motorized wheelchair. The bathroom was a little tight, but I was able to close the door and that counts for a lot. Tony is a great artist and very good at keeping the conversation weird so you're not aware of the time passing as he creates a masterpiece. I kept waiting for him to say that we'd have to come back some other day to have it finished, but he powered through. That must be hell on his back, spending all that time bent over, or he's part machine. Either way, I appreciate that he did finish the tattoo in one day. We're already planning to return to the shop so that I can get my own tattoo for my birthday. It will be my second, and definitely not last. I can already tell it's gonna be great.

When Danny (tattoo artist ) was about to start, a piercing appointment came in so he got that done right away. His technique was good, he was very clean, using new needles and gloves - it took less then ten minutes for two of my mini tattoos. I was charged $80. My friend was charged $60 for her one cross tattoo. Danny was great and had good customer service but I probably would not come back for the prices.

Then he goes "...one. And I don't have change." So I paid FORTY dollars for a "twenty one dollar" piercing (though I'm convinced it was only twenty) and on my way home it fell out again. The whole "twenty.... one" thing left a bad taste in my mouth so I didn't want to go back. Obviously, the hole closed that day. My tattoo came out better than I was hoping for! The shop is clean, sanitary and has some funky décor throughout the place. This way my second tattoo here by different artists. I was happy with both. Be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars once you factor in the premium jewelry they require you to purchase. Their piercing appointments are scheduled for an hour, yet the actual piercing only takes about 5-10 minutes. A significant portion of the appointment is spent discussing and selling jewelry. The real problem came with the follow-up downsizing appointment. After they emailed me to schedule it, the earliest availability was about a month out. As a new mom coordinating childcare for a baby and making a 40-minute drive through NoVA traffic is not easy. The downsizing appointment itself is only scheduled for 20 minutes, which made what happened next even more frustrating. Unfortunately, there was a lot of traffic on a Saturday and I arrived 12 minutes late. When I got there, a front desk lady met me at the door and refused to let me in. My appointment was canceled on the spot because I hadn't called or texted to say I was running late. I was driving and not checking my phone, which apparently didn't matter. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and no sympathy whatsoever for any circumstances. I was told another client was waiting in their car. So after waiting a month for an appointment, arranging my schedule around a baby, and driving 40 minutes, I left without receiving any service at all. Their policies may be their policies, but customer service matters too. The experience felt cold, inflexible, and completely dismissive. Given how much time is built into their appointments and how heavily they emphasize jewelry sales, I was surprised there was absolutely no flexibility for a customer who was a little late due to traffic. There are plenty of piercing studios out there, and after this experience, I would absolutely not waste time here. The prices are already high, and the lack of consideration for customers and new moms made me feel like a lesser person.

Tobias was the last person I saw for what was supposed to be a last downsize before I'm set until they heal, but they recommended I stick with the current post. Here are some more information that may help you determine if Brilliance Piercing is the studio for your piercing needs: they require appointments for any type of service (no drop-ins/walk-ins); they only work with jewelry they have for sale (I believe this is to ensure that the quality of the jewelry is top-notch and they know exactly the metal content - optimal healing conditions); when you have an appointment, you can't bring anyone with you; their jewelry are quite pricey, but not much more than other studios around. Their team is always upbeat, friendly, patient and knowledgeable: they will answer any question you may have and also always ensure you are aware of anything important regarding your piercing after care, etc. They have a wide selection of jewelry appropriate for whatever piercing you're getting! At this other shop, they were appalled that Triple Crown gave me a 14-gauge 8mm stud for the healing period, informing me they had likely upcharged me for the gauge size. The piercer also did not tell me a lot about the healing process; she only handed me their booklet on it, telling me to keep it clean. Not worth the money, which was about $80 for the service and stud. If you want to get your ears pierced, that is fine, but do not come here for facial piercings.
