I called the number listed and a woman stated "we are closed because of the rain, we are a food truck. All the customers know we close when it rains".....so basically, she only services "regular customers"? Because how the fuckkk would I know if it's my first time ? Good riddance. Won't be returning

Went today and paid $17 for the American Hero and was totally disappointed. Extremely skimped on the meat and condiments. Probably get better at 7/11 store. The hero bread was terrible. Pick it up and just fell apart in your hands. Wife ordered eggplant parm on round roll and no rolls. So gave it to her in a container with a half of hero. Why not just put it on the half hero roll???? Her roll was the same, just fell apart when you touch it. Quantity of eggplant was a joke. Prices are extremely high, quality of product low, quantity of product low. No more Lotito's after all these years.

My friend has been hankering me for years to try this place. I keep telling him it looks overrated…read more We stopped for coffee prior to eating and my friend who runs his mouth h to anyone who'd listen, told the barista we were going to 1950 Originals. Barista responded that it's overrated. Baristas never lie. Now don't get me wrong, it's not a bad spot but there are way too many awesome deep fried hotdog alternatives in North Jersey. First off: The huge weather beaten wiener on the side walk was just begging for someone to sit on it Secondly: The selfie station with the quote "I got that dog in me" begs for an explanation. The kiosk ordering was fine but definitely took away from the 1950 feel. I order my dog well done but it had no snap, definitely not a ripper. My friend loaded up his burger and dog which created quite a mess when eating but he added that the topping overload was needed for flavoring. French fries were quite good and the onion rings could have used another onion as the exterior crunch overwhelmed the single onion. The place is clean and service was quick. Will I be back? Probably not.

I liked the creativity of the dishes on the menu and I liked the milkshake I got (peanut butter, yogurt and banana). Decor was cute, simple and on theme (bees). There wasn't much room for sitting so it is best to take things to go. One thing to note - if you get a milkshake and ask for sprinkles, know that the sprinkles will be generously mixed into your drink and not just dusted on top. My daughter got that and ended up drinking my milkshake because she was overwhelmed by the amount of sprinkles she got. Overall, cute stop - recommended to try.

There are two eateries- one stand that offers burgers, sandwiches and fries, milkshakes, etc., and another cafe-like setting serving up heartier, fancier meals like lobster rolls, steaks, tuna salads, pasta and such. Service was okay, given the long lines. You can also order online to save time before you arrive. Your name gets called out on the loudspeaker when your order is done. You seat yourselves- either inside or outside. Our burgers and fries were great, seasoned well and cooked to our desired temp. Fries were generous and are served thin. We had the aoli sauce. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich that came with chips. Hearty bread, well seasoned and a generous portion of the tuna salad. My husband had the cubed steaks and brussel sprouts as his side. Steaks were cooked to desired temp and the sprouts were grilled. We were a party of 13 and we found a table that sat us comfortably. We didn't feel rush. The vibe was friendly. Would recommend !
