They offered a wide selection of empanadas and with great quantity. The taste of the empanadas were great although the price for them were a little high for my liking. I particularly liked the chicken one the most, the beef felt the most filling, while the pulled pork one tasted like a classaic pulled pork sandwich stuff in an empanada. They weren't dry tasting and had good depth of flavor. The sauces were extra cost however was a nice compliment. I would come back again if convinient and in the mood.

What could improve: Honesty and accuracy in the way the…read moreproducts are advertised. If the store promotes itself heavily as offering Cuban sweets and uses Cuban imagery to attract customers, then the products advertised as Cuban should actually be authentic Cuban-style products. If the store also sells Puerto Rican or other Latin American desserts, that is perfectly fine, but they should be identified as such instead of presenting everything as Cuban. I went in specifically because of the Cuban advertising. I ordered flan expecting a Cuban-style flan, but what I received was very different from what I know as traditional Cuban flan. The texture was very soft, almost gummy or paste-like, and it appeared to be made in a different style. I only ate a few spoonfuls and left the rest. The employee was polite, but when I asked about the flan, she explained that the desserts are not made there and that she did not know much about them. Staff should be familiar with the products they are selling, especially when customers may have questions about their origin or preparation. Product availability could also improve. The outside advertising promoted ice cream, which was one of the reasons I went inside, but I was told they were no longer selling it because summer was over. If a product is no longer available, the advertising should be updated. My main suggestion is simple: be clear and accurate about what is being sold. If something is Cuban, label it Cuban. If it is Puerto Rican or from another country, identify it accordingly. If there are desserts from several countries, advertising them as "Latin desserts" would be more accurate. Customers can then make an informed choice based on what they actually want to buy.
