Stopped in this morning for some breakfast kolaches for the office. We picked up 2 dozen which came out to around $75- We picked mostly savory with a few sweet thrown in. Service was quick, the store is very clean, and everything tasted great. I tried the ham, egg, jalapeno, & cheese and put a little extra hot sauce on top and really loved it. My only wish is that they had some sort of warming element under the trays of kolaches in the store. We were enjoying our breakfast in a conference room without access to a microwave and everyone was commenting how they'd be even better if they were hot! Cold scrambled eggs are a bit offputting but had no issues finishing my kolache anyway. Will be back in the future and recommend that we all take a turn at the microwaves before our meeting! read more

I always tends to go to the one on Brentwood's location. Recently I went here to pick up Kolache to go. This location has the same selections of kolache as the one on Brentwood. To me it seems a little smaller than the Brentwood location. Picking up the kolaches were easy and smooth. There were a few people in front of me but overall the line went by fast. The kolaches I brought have decent fillings. It did make a great breakfast for the kids and a great lunch entree for me. read more

I wanted to love this place but I ended up feeling kind of meh about it. I went in close to closing (my mistake, didn't know hours but the doors were unlocked and open sign on, other people going in). They must have been cleaning bc the place smelled very strongly of bleach. The kolaches were served to me room temp even though I asked them to be warmed. The ones with eggs in them had little flavor and the eggs were overcooked. The jalapeño popper flavor is the only one I would eat again, and there was a sausage one I'd like to try. The kolache outer bread was soft and sweet as you would expect. Overall I was not super impressed - they could change recipe/methods of cooking for fillings and would improve tremendously. This was my first visit. There was plenty of parking on a medium sized lot. The entrance didn't look to be wheelchair accessible. The lobby is small, but I was greeted on entering. The girls behind the counter seemed sweet, but not knowledgeable about the flavors. I got 6 kolaches. The flavors can be a little bizarre, like a Mac n cheese with brisket, but the dough is sweet, so the sweetness makes it a bit more appetizing. Catered breakfast this morning from Saint Louis Kolache. Way better than what we had from Panera, not just in taste and such, but they were on time with it and it was a great looking spread. Donuts and kolaches. And if like me, you're not familiar with kolache, it's a stuffed and baked bread roll. We had a great variety of the breakfast classics - egg, sausage, bacon, ham, veggie. Plus apple, blueberry and raspberry. I did not eat an entire one, but I did try one and then ate the stuffing. Delicious, a little sweet, perfect food for eating while driving as it's entirely contained and not drippy. If I wasn't on a keto diet, I could see myself eating a half dozen of these delights. So....any kolache is good. And these are good. If I'm back in St Louis I will certainly make it a point to grab breakfast here at least once. The chorizo and egg is a great breakfast option. The spicy goes well with the slightly sweet kolache dough. It missed getting a higher mark because though I was the only customer it took a little long to get waited on...the employees seemed to just be chatting. No hot coffee...which seemed odd...and the location was definitely the sort of place you want to get your food take out. It wasn't dirty but had a run down feel. The parking lot and entrance isn't too easy to get to, but that's a location issue, not their fault. In the end... decent quick breakfast/snack item that needs some work on delivery. read more

I was on my way to a completely different restaurant when I realized I was about to pass up St. Louis Kolache. My car made a right turn...maybe with minimal assistance from me? I can never resist the pillowy goodness of these treats and this time I even shared all the deliciousness with a friend. We got the smoked salmon, Philly cheesesteak, pulled pork, spinach and artichoke, apple pie and gooey butter cake kolaches. I believe we probably could have eaten more of them. These kolaches are such a hit. There is a variety of savory as well as sweet options. I have had these a few times at work as they are easy to get in big boxes for events. I came here for the first time in person to get my own and I had a hard time deciding just a couple to get. The Merica kolache is my personal favorite because it has sausage eggs gravy and hash browns which I haven't seen before in other kolache shops. The prices are also fair for the quality and size of the kolaches. The staff was nice and they asked me if I wanted my kolaches warmed up fresh which was super nice. I love kolaches! They are like homeade rolls filled with comforting goodness! Went to this location for breakfast. I have signed up for their online rewards but never get emails from them :( I do get emsils from Kolache Factory and STL Kolache will sometimes match the coupon offer (when I've asked they say it depends on the coupon). During this visit I had 3 kolaches (bc i love them! 1 us actually plenty for a breakfast lol) sausage abd gravy, sausage egg & cheese and philly cheesesteak. They were all amazing! Its hard to choose they have so many tasty choices! Service here is average. The employees never seem happy to be there, but they are efficient and accurate with orders. read more

At work we celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas. Starting on the 12th of December until the 24th a different person is responsible for bringing in and serving lunch to a staff of 12. The other day, one of my co-workers had breakfast/lunch catered by Saint Louis Kolache. The boxes of savory Kolaches were a major hit with everyone working. It was a nice touch having a posting of codes and labeling of the kolaches in their boxes. It made it easy to make your selection. As a team, we all differed on the length of time one should heat the kolache in the microwave. Some thought 15 seconds was enough and others went with 30. However, we also had a couple who thought 40 seconds was the perfect length of time to heat up theirs. I tried the Steak Kolache and the Slinger. Being a true STL man, I just had to try the Slinger. The pastry ball was filled with; hamburger, chili, egg and hash browns. I would have never thought I could enjoy a hand held Slinger until this holiday luncheon. Tasty and convenient for breakfast or lunch. The sweet yeast bread is delicious. And, I do mean delicious. It's pretty much a dinner roll with stuffing. Choose sweet or savory and breakfast or lunch. There are a variety of fillings for each. Hubby ordered a sausage and gravy, and meatball. The sausage and gravy was his favorite of the two. The meatball kolache could have used more sauce inside. Or, perhaps a side of sauce. The reuben had corned beef and sauerkraut inside. The corned beef was on the juicy side, possibly due to the sauerkraut. Delicious. The Chorizo, egg and cheese was very good. Not as spicy as I thought it might be but it was definitely packed with flavor. They have been open since October 2015 and are the only other place to get kolache besides the Kolache Factory chain a few miles away. Service was excellent. My husband and I ordered some kolaches for our nurses at the hospital. We used online form to pre order and prepay. My husband went inside the store for pick up, while there he decided to also get a couple things for us. He said that every time he walked away from the counter the employees ( ladies only) would take off their masks, while the gentlemen that worked there kept mask on. We are not sorry to say this, but we will not be supporting a business where employees can not simply respect customers health and wear a mask. I was in the area for work and needed some food and this was 2 blocks away so I had to stop by since I haven't had a kolache since I moved to St. Louis and I'm so glad I did. I got there right around the time they were about to close and so they were sold out of their more popular flavors. Had no idea which ones to order but I ended up with gooey butter and a Philly cheesesteak. Awesome...Really excellent food. The dough was warm and sweet and I loved every bite of both of these. I had been meaning to try this place for a while, after hearing good things from some friends. We ordered a chicken ranch, STL pizza, sausage egg cheese, and bacon egg cheese for pick up. The kolaches came warm, in a cute little box. They were a bit smaller than expected- around the size of a normal dinner roll. We liked the flavor of the chicken ranch and STL pizza despite the bread being a bit dense. The breakfast kolaches with eggs were the disappointing ones - it's pretty much filled with only egg, very little sausage or bacon, and tasted flavorless.
