Yes

Yes!

Ate there any hour hour specials here?

I believe there was a special menu, but I would call and double check.

Are dogs allowed for outdoor seating?

Benicia is a dog-friendly town, so bring your dog(s) along when you dine outdoors in any of the restaurants in town.

I tried the phone number listed on their website, and it's a fax line. So I tried their email address, and my email was returned saying "Recipient not found." What's up with this place and how can I get through to make a reservation?

They have plenty of rotating specials, and their fish and shrimp fry's are fantastic. Their poboy is awesome, and the gumbo is gumboing for sure! I think they do breakfast on the weekends as well, but I've only been here for lunch a few times when I was working in the area. This place is pretty much a stones throw away from the ocean or body of water in Benicia. The folks here are super friendly and kind. You go up to order from a window and find a seat or stand around, depending on whether you wanna eat there or take your food to go. I opted to dine there and the place is super chill. On my trips, I've ordered the po'boy and gumbo combo on one visit and had the catfish bites with the hush puppies on another visit. The food each time was prepared really well and the fried items were perfectly crispy. The gumbo was delicious without being too spicy although there's a plethora of hot sauces on the tables for you if you want to spice up your food even more. This place made me feel nostalgic for the handful of times I visited New Orleans and it made me miss Louisiana food, even while I was eating a good representation of it lol. It made me think about one of my favorite restaurants ever which is Jacques-Imo's. Just a great option for lunch, especially if you want to try Louisiana style Cajun food. There's plenty of parking around as well.

Unlike the Fairfield location, I have been able to get seated in a reasonable time at the Benicia location. They're popular, but not to the point of waiting 45+ minutes. I believe they're only open during breakfast/brunch times. Parking isn't too difficult if you don't mind walking a little from the main part of the parking center lot. The corner by Huckleberry's is often full. Ive been a couple times and the quality and service have been consistently good. Of the foods I'd recommend the fried green tomatoes and fried okra for starters. They're also one of few places offering beignets. For entrees the crab cake Benedict is good. The portions are filling. Ambiance is very casual. The utensils come in a little paper pouch and the napkins are paper towels on a dowel at each table. This particular location can look a bit dim. I think it's because of the direction of the windows. It's tasty and if you've been to Huckleberry's before you won't be disappointed by this one either.

We went yesterday for my husband's birthday. I made a reservation on Open Table and called to request a window seat. We arrive and were greeted warmly, and taken to our window table. Yusuf was our server, and he is so much more than a server. He is family. He made superb recommendations, and every drink, entree and dessert he recommended was mouthwatering! We had the Misto salad, mushroom soup (soup of the day), saffron pappardelle, chicken Parmesan, and mushroom ravioli (we took plenty home!). The house-made noodles and sauces were delectable! We also ordered the apple crumb for dessert made the Yusuf way, AND Yusuf brought us a raspberry basil sorbet with candle and sang happy birthday with me to my husband. We will be back soon and will be bringing friends and family to experience the greatness of Bella Siena. Thank you Yusuf and team!

There is a dedicated parking lot, tight but can hold a decent amount of cars. There is street parking as well, not metered - that is where I parked. The hostess was extremely friendly and attentive, checking in on us several times after ordering to notify of the food's ETA as well as refilling drinks and seeing if we needed anything. The dining area has approximately ten booths in total and became quite crowded around 12:30p. Our meals arrived at different times, items to eat meal arrived sparsely as well. We ordered around 11:30a, there were two other parties present. We were able to order based on our dietary needs/wants as the menu offered quite a diverse array. The crab omelette (known as The California Omelette on the menu) is 1/4 lb of fresh crab served either hot or cold enclosed in three eggs along with avocado and Monterey Jack cheese. For $26.35 the omelette left much to be desired, especially in flavor and seasoning. Nothing complimented or even enhanced the presence of the crab in any way. The remaining party at the table said they enjoy their meal - including a blueberry waffle, toast and eggs with bacon and a double cheeseburger with fries. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to gather, this cafe is certainly an option to consider. It was easy to speak and hear each other with ample privacy and not a lot of traffic - if any.
