Greasy unseasoned butter run off and a soggy, over-mayonaised bun

Do not fall for the paid TikTok hype. We came on a Saturday afternoon expecting fresh lobster and good rolls based on online reviews, only to find out it was all paid for advertising. One of the most disgusting lobster rolls I've ever had, cold defrosted lobster with an entire ladle of butter drenching the already mayo added bread and soaking the bread and the paper cup with excess butter. The butter then was congealed on the frozen lobster. See picture, absolutely vile!

I mean the photo speaks for itself!!! Maybe the best lobster roll I've had in the city. We decided to indulge in the caviar topping but honestly the regular roll is so sexy just by herself. A perfectly buttered bun with cool refreshing big pieces of lobster. I've been wanting to try their pop up for years and I'm so glad they finally have a brick and mortar store. It's pretty small and casual inside, not a place to spend a lot of time in. Service was great. It is expensive but worth it in my opinion. Can't wait to try the uni one next!

On line at 1pm on July 3rd for the long awaited lobster roll spot... there's a good amount of patrons in front of me, and it is HOT.... The owners very friendly mother in law is passing out ice pops to make the wait more comfortable.... Much appreciated! Finally in and ordered a simple sailor and a whoopie pie.... Blueberry with lemon cream. Roll was slightly on the smaller side... well buttered and toasted roll... chilled lobster. No butter or mayo but think that may have been an ordering flaw on my part. Super fresh and delicious... however don't think it was a whole lobster (as advertised) in the roll as I only had one claw and most lobsters have 2! Small place but bright and cheerful setup, staff was warm and welcoming and the sides were limited. I prefer a warm buttered lobster roll with a salad or fries in the side, potato chips too casual for me and just not a luxe lunch feel. Overall a 4... however I'm sure they may tween some things and for a first day first hour experience not bad at all!!! Welcome to the neighborhood Sailor and Siren!

This isn't a sit-down spot; it's strictly order-and-take-away, though there is a counter inside if you want to stand and eat. Got the famous special with an Orange Drink--all for around $10! Loaded one dog with chili, cheese, and onions, and the other with onions, mustard, and relish. The toppings were super fresh and tasted amazing. Simply the right dog at the right price. Friendly folks serving up a tasty frankfurter with great energy. A legendary NYC stop every single time.

I honestly could've scarfed down like 3 of these in one meal, but I came here for a late night dinner snack haha. 9/10 Papaya Drink - This is clearly what the hot dog spot is named after, right? So of course we had to get it! It had a very thick consistency, but it was still yummy and not overly sweet. 10/10 Orange Drink - I loved this drink out of the 2 we tried, and this one was fireeeeeeee! It's basically a spin on an orange juice drink, but in my opinion, it's way better!

The service was also super fast, about 5-6 minutes from when my order was placed to my hands. There's no seating, but it's easy to walk around and enjoy the city with. I tried the garlic sauce and loved it. I opted not to add sugar to mine but I have had it with sugar before and it is good!

I went for one filled with gooey mozzarella--so satisfying--and loved how it still kept the nostalgic corn dog look. There are over a dozen creative configurations, including versions with potato cubes or rice cakes, each with its own quirky appeal. Once you choose your dog, there are 2 more steps: pick a dry topping (I chose cinnamon sugar, which added a sweet-savory contrast) & finish it off with sauces from a lineup that includes ketchup, mustard, gochu hot sauce, and sweet chili. My only wish is that there was actual seating (it's more of a grab-and-go spot) & the wall being wide open made it feel a bit drafty. Still, the food is worth it. Definitely a fun East Village stop if you're craving something indulgent & out of the ordinary.
