This is my fave place to eat pho or Bahn mi. The owner is so friendly and nice. The staff is incredible and whether you stay or take your food to go it is always good. I appreciate going somewhere with consistent service and food! read more

Service: I asked "no sugar" to my expensive fish dish. And the Hispanic server stated " too late"!!! Instead of trying to accomate. Blunt and bad attitude from the server who does not know the concept of customer service at all!!!!. That server argued with me on top of his bad attitude. No more eating there after several years obviously. Food: mediocre read more

I've been coming here for about a decade and it does not disappoint. I believe they are a family run business, and you can tell they cook their dishes with care and the chefs have perfected their craft. There is a large amount of seating and is a cute spot to go on a date, hang with friends, or maybe grab dinner solo! ps: the red bean milkshake is unparalleled. read more

Saigon Pho - 37. Saigon Deluxe (Pho) / Pho Bo Ga - Vietnamese Near Me - East Hanover, New Jersey

Interior reminds me old skool Chinatown restaurants. Very cozy but familiar looking. Venue has all the traditional Vietnamese fare one would expect (pho, banh mi, rice dishes, meat and seafood entrees and some vegetarian choices). I decided to get the grilled pork with vermicelli. The bowl was enormous and filled generously with perfected cooked rice noodles. It was topped with lettuce, bean sprouts, basil and mint. Several pieces of grille pork rested atop this dish. The pork was slightly sweet (carmelized taste) with a hint of smokiness and very tender. The fish sauce came on the side. My companion had the whole fried fish, which was also good. read more

This restaurant is a little hidden gem in an otherwise-unassuming strip mall. It was packed on a Saturday night which is always a good sign, and our order was still ready in under 10 minutes. We started with the shrimp summer rolls ($7.50) and a side of steamed veggies ($5). There was too much dry noodles on the inside for my personal preference, but the order came with two large rolls and two dipping sauces. The chicken pho was *delicious* and a large portion (although a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area at $20.50). The only downside is the location is really inconvenient. The parking lot is difficult to navigate in/out of due to the highway and not being allowed to make a left turn. read more

Amazing food, excellent service, great prices, authentic cuisine. Been a customer for 15+ years and it is never been less than excellent!!

Worse then a bad Chinese take-out out. Food was greasy and tasteless. Will not be back, not worth a second chance!

They seemed to have changed some of their recipes in the past 6 months, most notably the fried spring rolls. I ordered the vermicelli with grilled pork and fried spring rolls and was saddened by the two bland spring rolls that had barely any filling which turned out to be cabbage and carrots. So sad because their meat spring rolls used to be very tasty and authentic. read more

Omg i feel ok giving this place 3 stars bc ik theyll be popping off with or without my input- i used to come here All the time during high school and sometime after covid my fam and i switched to saigon cafe in millburn instead. I was craving pho sooooo bad this day so i requested to my parents as soon as i got off at the train stn and we decided to try this place again after forever since we were going to costco. I still ate meat last time i went here so i was trying the vegetarian pho for the first time..... unfortunately it was very bland.... The broth is like veggie water and really lacks flavor even w copious amounts of sriracha and hoisin. Its kind of funny they offer a version w beef broth but ig that tickles peoples pickles. Anyways i want to say i love this place the way that i used to but i think that there is some way to go in terms of that broth .... Or mayhaps it is better to just take the option off the menu altogether instead of giving false hope.... read more

3.5 stars. Was a bit disappointed with the banh which sadly had very little filling, and we had to ask for a side of cilantro to be added. On the other hand, we enjoyed the sweet and sour soup (with salmon), which was filling and good to share between two people. It has a tart but savory tamarind base with a slight peppery kick that was tasty and appetizing. Great for a chilly day! We noticed lots of takeout orders and it seems like this is a nice, local spot with plenty of regulars. read more

First time here at this food spot. Liked the interior. It was decorated for the season with lights and there were bamboo privacy barriers between each table setup. Food was good. We ordered Fresh shrimp summer rolls, Beef rolls, Crispy egg noodle chicken Ga, Avocado bubble shake and a mango bubble shake. Food was good but not the service. Went there for lunch but felt like they were a bit mis-managed, took a long time getting what we needed and looking for service. read more

The furniture and decor reminded me of the restaurants in Chinatown. They had colorful Christmas lights, cute trinkets here and there, and bamboo screens between tables. The atmosphere was very lively from the minute I stepped in. The service was very quick. Pho was also very good. Nothing particularly special about this place-- just a good spot for a quick meal. read more

Hair in food and rude staff who will argue with you when you tell them there is hair in your pho and claim it's your hair

Popped by here to try it again, and the pho was better this time, albeit still made me thirsty. Veggie spring rolls - skip. The meat ones are so much better. Bubble tea was ok; sweet milk tea, but the bubbles didn't have much flavor. Vietnamese coffee - interesting serve and how it filtered through the bottom. read more

It's not Vietnamese food that is served in this restaurant, it's a mishmash of pan Asian flavors where Chinese dishes masquerade as Vietnamese and vice versa. Yesterday I wandered in, having only dined here once pre covid. The dish I ordered was supposed to be a pork stir fry, over vermicelli noodles and Asian vegetables. The menu read ok, it sounded interesting, and I was really hungry. I ordered a hot tea. The tea was served loose in a pot with hot water. Normally I prefer loose tea to a tea bag, but in this case there was hardly any in the pot, making it hot water.... With tea strands. Not a great start. Literally a minute later I was presented with a plate of rice vermicelli with stir fried something over the top in a lightly seasoned sauce. The trouble was and I didn't send it back- but I should have because the rice pasta was a glop of rice noodles. Obviously held in water until service, this solid mass of humanity was anything but what the menu read. Something in there didn't smell right. Xo sauce maybe? Maybe the pork? A vegetable dating from the Eisenhower administration? Something was off. Sure they asked me twice if I wanted to get a to go box. Ah.... No. read more

Love the pho! This place is awesome! Great service and great food for a great price. When we feel like Vietnamese food, this is always our top pick. I have to say that I'm such a huge fan of the pho that I hardly get anything else when I go, but they have a wide variety of a menu for those who want something other than a soup - type of a meal. Friendly staff, they're always smiling and willing to help or give a suggestion. Plenty of seating and they also do pickup orders. read more

This was my first time having pho - and I did not like it. The flavors and the mushy rice noodles were not doing it for me. This very well could be great quality pho (and it seems like it is judging by the other reviews and the fact that there was a wait on a Saturday night), but I just think this wasn't for me. The owner is a great guy and checked in on us. Plenty of parking. BYOB. read more

Great food and always great service. Perfect for takeout or eating in. Favorite Pho restaurant in the area. Definitely try it.

Summary: A decently large menu of Vietnamese favorites. Good for groups. Decent portions that will fill your bellies for decent prices. I visited Saigon Pho with my mom one night. I ordered their Pho Tai. Unfortunately I can't remember what my mom ordered but it consisted of vermicelli and pork chops. She said the pork was very tasty. My Pho Tai was okay, broth flavor was on point but the beef was not the traditional raw round eye beef, my beef was visibly already cooked. Other than that, you can't really mess up Pho. Service was attentive and quick. Our food came pretty quickly. read more

I ordered a vegetarian pho for take out, you have the option to do beef broth or veggie broth. I chose the veggie broth and it was not special. It just lacked the depth of a traditional broth. However the portions are great; comes with a side of vegetables and noodles. I would give the Pho a 3.5. Yet to try other dishes on their menu ! read more

Delicious combo pho. Prices reasonable and the menu is an impressive thick book! I don't know how the chef is able to cook the hundreds of items on the menu. Service was odd, no one approached us as we sat on one of their outdoor tables but then they seem to rush us to order and clear the table. The menu is so large, you need 15 mins to get through it. Pho was delicious and I ordered a bahn mi to go. The sliced pork was dry and a bit tough. It was huge, at least 12". It coulda used a bit more pickled veggies tho. Definitely a nice find and would come back to try some of the hundreds of offerings. read more

Good restaurant for Vietnamese food. There was another location in Parsippany that closed with the same owner, which used to go often. Now we found this place. We will come here more often, I think, in the future. We had noodle soups with egg noodles. They are tasty as well as they are heartily portion size. Egg rolls was nice and crunchy. Overall we enjoyed a lot. We will be back. I recommend for anyone looking for a good Vietnamese food. read more

I've been here several times and it used to be one of the best Pho restaurants in the area. Unfortunately it saddens me to say that tonight I will give this restaurant 2 stars because the Bo Luc Lac (beef cube with rice) was awful. This dish is supposed to be served with juicy delicious beef shaped into small cubes. Tonight's dish was served with shriveled small laughable beef cubes that were over cooked, dry, and fried with oil. If I had to guess, the restaurant is using lower quality beef in this dish, and it shows! I've never sent back unfinished dishes back but after a few bites I had the waiter take the dish away from me. I'm so disappointed. On the bright side, the pho noodles are still good. read more

We stopped by this place for lunch after spending the morning at Funplex. When we walked in, the restaurant was packed and we had to wait to be seated. However, we were not once greeted while waiting for a decent 10-15 minutes or so. Even while it was finally our turn, the staff didn't asked how many of us in the party.. just "follow me" which I thought was a bit weird. The customer service at this establishment was definitely lacking from beginning to end but the reason I still gave four stars is because of the food. We ordered a large pho dat biet, grilled pork and egg rolls over vermicelli noodles, and a sweet and sour salmon soup. My wife said the pho was really good and her nephew ate most of it. I had the vermicelli noodles and the grilled pork was very tasty. They could've add more egg rolls though as there was only two in total. The wife had the salmon soup and she said it was delicious. This place is definitely one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in regards to the food. read more

I was craving some pho recently and ordered takeout from this place for the first time. I was a little worried to try a new pho place but this place still hit the spot! I got the rare beef pho and loved how they packaged everything separately for takeout. Some places put the toppings with the noodles or put the beef with the noodles. So, unpacking the food was great! The food was still hot when i received it as well. As for taste, the soup was a little more bland than i was used to but was still good. I only wish the place gave me more packets of hoisin and sriracha because one packet of each was definitely not enough. I also didnt receive any utensils with my order unfortunately. Overall, great first impression and i might just come back here soon. read more

I came here with a friend for a weekend early dinner. What I did appreciate were the table dividers. It made every table a cozy place to catch up and be present with who you came with. However I want to comment on the veggie pho. It was said in the menu that it came with beef broth so I asked for vegetable broth substitute which they agreed to. Unfortunately the taste was so bland it took away from the whole experience of the vegetable pho that my friend has raved about. Service was nice to check in on us during our time there but I would say they need to work on the vegetarian broth. When I think pho is in the title of a restaurant, I would expect to eat quality pho and to be able to see at least one vegetarian friendly pho on the menu with a broth that actually tastes up to par. read more

Been going here for years. Authentic, friendly and fast. Love this spot for my Viet food fix

Recommended by friends of the owner, we went for dinner. The ambiance is very very casual, & family friendly, We ordered basic beef Pho and grilled, marinated shrimp vermicelli. The pho broth lives up to its reputation. After adding fresh squeeze of lime and fresh mint, the flavors were heavenly. The longer you let them marinate they better they get! The grilled shrimp was the BEST I've ever tasted, which is saying a lot. (Major foodie here!) The owner, Tim, kept checking on us. Stellar service and the food came so quickly we couldn't believe it. Make sure you finish the meal with an incredible, Vietnamese, iced coffee! read more

Saigon Pho - Deluxe Pho - Vietnamese Near Me - East Hanover, New Jersey

My partner and I happened to come across Saigon while in the shopping center in which it is located. Deciding to give it a try since we hadn't had pho near our new home, we popped in and were quickly seated. They have different sizes of bowls for pho to choose from, but we needed to have it explained since there was no clear visual representation. I ordered a tofu and vegetable pho, which arrived steaming hot to the table soon after. The broth was seasoned quite nicely, which I sampled before anything. The triangular tofu appeared like it had been fried, but it didn't work well with the components at all. Moving past that, the vegetables tasted like they had been frozen and recently thawed. Plainly put, the pho wasn't fresh. My partner ordered a chicken and beef pho, but found the chicken wasn't great. I really wanted to love Saigon, but it fell too short for me to return. read more

Never had Vietnamese before... first time... it as good I thought, and very reasonably priced. Service was ok. Waiter was cool.

I think I may have found another go-to place...like I want to go-to Saigon Pho again right now!! Wifey and I actually hadn't been to a Vietnamese restaurant together in over 20 years (some place in Minneapolis), but we might not wait 20 days to eat here again...can you tell I liked the place?!? We were seated immediately and the first thing we realized was the place was full of Asian families...always a good sign at an ethnic restaurant. Since we wanted leftovers we decided to get way more than we could eat, but we found the prices perfectly acceptable. We started with shrimp summer rolls and the best Chicken Satay I've ever had in my life. We then both ordered rice noodle phô...Wifey had the chicken and well done flank and I had the rare beef and well done flank pho. I'm no expert, but this was FANTASTIC. I added a bit of chili sauce and sriracha and I fell in love with phô. We also ordered chicken stir fried rice noodles and the combo fried rice. Both were very good, but the fried rice had peas in it...I hate peas-not their fault, I didn't ask...but I hate peas so I pushed them over to Wifey. Otherwise, this was an excellent meal and I will get at least four more meals out of this. Service was fantastic and friendly, food was amazing, great prices, and it's a BYOB place...a big bonus! Can't wait to go back! read more
