Came here on a pretty warm day. So decided to get #62 a non-soup noodle dish. A good way to describe it for those that haven't had Vietnamese rice buns is that it's like a deconstructed spring roll. Very refreshing and tasty! Tried a little bit of the pho broth. Not bad. Not flavor packed good but not bland. Still one of the better broths that I've had in the vicinity. They have fresh coconut juice with some of the flesh. Good stuff! And water is normally service with a sliced of lime, which I love! Seating is about average compared to the rest of Asian establishments in Temecula. Parking is shared with a huge open strip mall. So you'll be sure to find something close. Although one downside to the location is that it's next door to a driving school. So beware of possible dings. read more

I was craving Vietnamese food, especially since it was Lunar New Year. I've tried the few Vietnamese restaurants in Temecula except for this one, so I decided to give it a try this time. I always order the bun with pork and egg rolls, and since they had boba, I ordered a taro smoothie (they didn't have boba unfortunately). I ordered for pick up, and it was ready as soon as I got there. Both food and drink were very good! The reason why I took one star away was for customer service and phone etiquette. When I called, a woman picked up and put me on hold for awhile. I could hear people shouting in Vietnamese in the background. Then the gentleman who took my order ended the phone call with just a "See you." No time or anything on how long it might take for my food to be ready and no order total. I tried calling again to confirm the pick up time, but no one answered my call. I understand with the language barrier, it can be tough, but at the some time, it's also a business. We usually order same things which are egg rolls, vermicelli noodle with combo meat, cold cut banh mi, and no.102 (not sure what it's called but it's beef dish). The broth is flavorful! It's hard to find a good tasting pho broth, we're used to going to pho Saigon in Ventura and we have finally found a spot local. It isn't overly priced. Their staff is really friendly. It's a little hole in the wall with plenty of parking. On the corner of their building is banzai Japanese steakhouse and on the other end is the Salvation Army. I took my friend who never had Vietnamese food before. We were hungry after a day on the slopes so I wanted to introduce her to one of my favorite cuisines before she travels to Vietnam in a month's time. We stopped here due to bad traffic in the area. (We were trying to find another pho place; should've brave the bad traffic in hind sight). There was no one in the restaurant (a big red flag!), even tho it was peak dinner time. I decided to order basic items to share so my friend could try a few things. 1) spring rolls: one shrimp sliced in half and very very thin slice of blanched pork my friend didn't even realize that there was pork in it even after I pointed out to her several times! It was that thin!!) The worst I've had. 1/10 2) Pho. 3/10: very bland and pasty noodles. 3) Rice vermicelli with bbq pork and shrimp. 2/10: first of all, I have never seen thin slices of BACON as bbq pork in this dish! Three small shrimps. 4) Service. 1/10: When we were ready to leave, the owner lady was busy talking to her friend so we waited about 10-15min so she could finish but she was still In conversation. We couldn't wait any longer as we had more driving to do so we said "hello?" to get attention, she looked at us and said "ok" and then she went on talking for another 5min!! She went to the counter, and the next thing, she was on the phone for another 5 min. I was disgusted at the service and the food, (not to mention embarrassed to bring my friend's-first impression of the cuisine), decided to just go up to the counter to pay and get the hell out of there. I really really didn't want to leave any tips, but I left a 10% tip (usually 20% or more), hoping she gets the message. She had galls to huff at me for the tip!! Still makes me angry thinking about it, Should've just taken back the tip. read more

Tonight when my husband and I went there and ordered three cold cut meat sandwiches, in addition to being treated rudely, all of our sandwiches were wrong and the husband/owner kept asking me questions such as "are you sure" and "did you tell her what you wanted". I love coming here on my lunches. The restaurant is pretty large and lunch isn't super crowded so my food comes out within minutes. The pho broth is great, doesn't taste like they emptied a can of swanson's chicken broth, and comes out hot! I'm a traditional rare steak kinda gal and they give you a good amount of meat in a large bowl. Their spring rolls are also really yummy. They're wrapped really tightly which means that when you go to dip it in the peanut sauce, you're not going to lose half the contents in the bowl. So many places around town have these half wrapped & loose messes so when you take a bite, half the noodles just come spilling out and nothing frustrates me more! The best part is that the shrimp inside isn't super fishy. The owners, husband & wife duo, are super friendly. First, I must say that the people that run this place are super friendly and will tend to the needs of their customers as much as they can. I got a rare flank pho. The service here is good. Great that they have their own parking lot. Not sure of the bathroom exoerience here lol.. The place is clean, but not trendy looking by any means. Every time ive been here, its never crowded. The service is good. Food isnt bad. The prices are a bit steep when you consider the location and overall dining experiences. Its a lot of "good" and "ok" things about this place... I'm all for supporting mom-n-pop shops, but this place needs to put forth a little more effort for 5stars. Food sucks! Price on the menu isn't what you'll pay. Expect to be over charged $2-$4 for each item for below average food.
