I was honestly really confused by the Yelp ratings at this place. There seems to be inflation by the Yelp algorithms. I was really exited to get my Vietnamese fix. The pictures made everything look good and I saw a lot of pictures that seem to paint an established Vietnamese bodega ambiance... Was I wrong... I came in around 7:30 (party of 1) and the server said to sit anywhere I'd like. There weren't many options with most of the tables still needing to be bussed. I sat around and luckily bought my computer to do some work. I didn't get to place my order until 8:10 when the owner came around and took my order. It seemed like they were short-staffed with only 1 server. It was kind of awkward with many tables trying to grab the server's attention, all the while, the server, also avoiding the customers that needed attending to. It also seemed to be an issue of lack of restaurant experience, multitasking and working efficiently. I've been in the service industry for awhile and I can definitely relate to being a lone server with many tables. The owner came around and tried to address all of the tables, but probably should have probably done so sooner. She also seemed kind of oblivious on how best she could assist, which seemed a little disorganized. My pho bo vien came out within 5 minutes of placing the order with the owner, which I didn't mind. The broth was darker than usual, which was a bit concerning to me since I hadn't even added hoisin. The hoisin/sriracha carousel wasn't even at my table. I'm also assuming they were out of lime because the usual garnish plate had lemon slices instead. To wrap up my review: they were short-staffed, menu seems a bit over-priced. Novice pho lovers and locals will like this place. If you're Vietnamese/Chinese , from the west coast, or any other metropolitan area you probably won't...

Went there around 4 pm. We were the third table. Our serve was very apologetic saying they had a really busy lunch period and many tables were not cleaned/bused. My food was okay ; it could be cooked a bit longer as there was still some red inside, around the bone. JS did not really like his meal; noodles were bland.

Unbelievable! Great service, great decore, great selection, very clean, and mind blowing food! Our hicken banh mi, fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls with peanut sauce, and #12 seafood (lots of shrimp, scallops,and squid) with pho noodles were unbelievably good! We'll be back

Decided to try probably the only Viet restaurant in the area. We noticed that everything was way overpriced... However the food was good overall. I had their vermicelli bowl with eggrolls, pork and shrimp. The lemongrass pork was delicious as well as the eggrolls. The shrimp however had little flavor to it. The fish sauce was sweet and had very little spice to it but it was still good. The veggies, crunchy onions and peanuts paired well with the protein and noodles. My partner had the stir fry beef with pho noodles. The beef had a flavorful sweetness to it and the noodles were nice and soft. It was pretty oily but still tasted amazing. The inside is beautiful and captures the Viet aesthetic. Service was pretty quick and straight forward. The cook was a Viet lady so it is authentic. Highly recommend this place.

This is the strange pho soup I was served.

I came here because of the great reviews, but unfortunately, the food was horrible. I ordered Pho, and it had no flavor--it tasted watered down, and the meat had a sour taste. I also ordered spring rolls, which were just okay, but the peanut sauce was not what I expected; it was more like a scoop of peanut butter. I ended up throwing the entire meal away. I realize I came after a storm when most places were closed, and I was really craving Pho, so I'm not sure if they were short on food supplies or what went wrong. I drove too far to call and complain, so instead, I went to Panera for their soup.

My department decided to order from Saigon Nights for lunch, and I'm so happy we did! We ordered online, and our food was ready very quickly! The food is a bit on the pricier side, but to be fair, the portion sizes are pretty large. The chicken tasted amazing! I've never had chicken like this. The side salad came with a little cup of dressing that was pretty unique, I liked it a lot! I don't really like fried rice, but I thought id try it out, and it was actually pretty good! The spring rolls were very good, VERY big! The peanut sauce that comes with the rolls was beautiful. I love peanut sauce and this sauce was definitely in the top 2 that I've ever had! I didn't go inside the restaurant, but from the photos it looks great. Already planning a date night to go back and try some Pho!

I highly recommend anyone to go here they have the best hospitality and food I've ever tried in my life. The food was excellent served fresh and hot it takes your taste buds to whole new level of good!

I love, love, love the atmosphere in the restaurant! It's so cozy and inviting! The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! We couldn't get enough of their eggrolls and even their drinks, I've never had Thai tea as good as theirs before, I could even say it's the best one I've ever had! Their spring rolls are so damn good and their peanut sauce goes great with anything! Their pho is perfect for the cold winter season, it'll warm you right up! The staff is so friendly, and their cook, Nga, who we also got to know is the owner of the restaurant is super friendly and awesome! Thank you for one of the best restaurant experience we've had anywhere in a long time! One time isn't enough, we will definitely come back again.

I was super excited to have a vietnamese resturaunt in Erie! Too bad it came just as I was leaving the area... anywho, the service was really quick and friendly! The pho was also really good! The broth was super flavorful. It reminded me of the pho resturaunts back in SoCal. Prices are a little more than over there, but it's understandable given its the only place to get good pho in probably the next 100 miles! Needless to say, I think it's a great addition to the Erie area!

Saigon Nights GOOD: Nice food presentation, friendly service, interesting restaurant art BAD: Price for value, neither dish was impressive for the price. I was looking forward to trying Saigon Nights. The inside had nice art work, and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered egg rolls rather then spring rolls. I expected heavier with more filling. They felt and tasted like spring rolls in an egg roll wrapper for over 3.50 each. I ordered the vermicelli with pork and shrimp. It was okay - alot of lettuce, carrots and cucumbers. The pork was good, the shrimp were rubbery tough. I should have stuck to traditional pho, but I wanted something more unique. If I go back, I'd stick with a pho and maybe a bah mi to go. read more

I'm in town visiting my mother and thought it would be nice to introduce her to Pho. When the Pho arrived I knew something was off right from the start. The broth was extremely dark and cloudy. A first taste revealed an extremely spice forward soup. Not in a good way. May be in a potpourri way. I took a few spoonfuls and just stopped. All we could taste was cinnamon, star anise and / or clove. The rice noodle were ok and the thin slices of overcooked beef, and tendon were scarce. The meatball did taste authentic but again, scarce. I've probably ordered pho from at least hundred different places. Each place there will be subtle differences but all unique and delicious in their own way. This was not even close to any Pho I have ever had. Absolutely horrible. I was embarrassed to have spoken so highly about Vietnams national dish. read more

Food was not good. The Pho was completely wrong. Unable to eat our food but still required to pay. Ultimately got a small refund for an appetizer event though we left our entire meal untouched - 2 entrees. Had eaten before and was ok but now...something has changed and it missed the mark by a mile. read more

I never send food back. I tried a couple of the wings and couldn't proceed. They tasted rubbery and clearly microwaved and the sauce was muddled and not flavorful. The chili oil that came in a small plastic ramekin was straight out of a horror movie. I've never seen chili oil that shade of brown and so chunky. Moving on to my bahn mi, the pork was just terrible. I love Vietnamese food and recently had an incredible pork bahn mi in Pittsburgh. This had little hairs sticking out of it and the shape and texture was weird. I only ate it because I didn't want to send back two items in a row. My wife got fried noodles which were watery and bland. Overall a really disappointing experience that makes me question where all the 5 star reviews on Google are coming from. If you read through the wording on many, they sound unnatural. To add insult to injury they charged us for the wings that we barely touched and sent back. I was really expecting to have food poisoning leaving this place. Oh and it's way too expensive for what it is. We went to another restaurant after to get the taste out of our mouth. read more

Decent pho, but certainly not the best I've had. They were out of bean sprouts and the basil was was a little wilted. A small bowl of pho was pricey at $16. Friendly service. read more

Food is awful. Ramen is basically instant noodles and put in pho soup base. Pho soup is very watery with almost no substance, like water with soy sauce and vinegar. Noodles also very hard. read more

I took my mom here for dinner on a Saturday night. The food is amazing, authentic delicious Vietnamese flavors. We shared some appetizers: Saigon wings and summer rolls. The Saigon wings were crispy, sweet and savory. Everything was wonderful. The customer service was great. The owner, Nga, came over and talked to us. She's a delight! The interior is so pretty and well decorated. They're playing 80s music which is fun. You'll love it. Come here with friends, family or on a date night. Enjoy the flavors! read more

We stopped by for the first time today and WOW!! First impression: the people are simply wonderful! Even though it was the first visit, it had this atmosphere of family. Not only did they make sure we were seated and comfortable but they made jokes that made us feel like usuals - we were invited right in. 5 people in our party - ranging from Vietnamese food lovers to a super picky first-timer. We all walked away with full bellies and the belief that OUR chosen dish was the best on the table! We came for the pho, devoured the pad Thai, drank up the special noodles, and chugged water after the spicy fresh jalapeños. This spot... it's more than a restaurant. It's love, community, and flavor that creates a whole one of a kind experience! Thank you so so much!! read more

First experience with Saigon nights and it surely won't be our last! We enjoyed a fine meal with our friends-both couples have the Erie Fine Dining Card which allows us to enjoy new restaurants and a wide variety of cuisines. The menu was very clear in its descriptions of our generous and deliciously prepared menu choices. We opted for extra side of the egg rolls-oh, my! Tender, flavorful, delicious!! read more

This is my fourth time to Saigon Nights. First, how lucky we are to have a new exciting ethnic dining option in Erie! All four times I have had excellent food and service. I've tried the Pho Tai Nam Bo Vien, the "Shaky Beef," the Viet Pat Thai Seafood, and the Bun Thit Nuong Tom. While all of the dishes were delicious, the Pho Tai and the Viet Pat Thai Seafood were my two favorites. I'm going to keep exploring the menu, trying new items each time I visit. Food was absolutely delicious!! I'm originally from Baltimore Maryland, and we have pho spots everywhere out there. I also frequently travel to Pittsburgh and Cleveland just to get pho. Now I only have to travel like 5 blocks to get actually delicious pho!! The restaurant is set up very pretty, with lots of seating and light. The owner even stopped by our table and thanked us for coming in, abs asked how the food was. Let me tell you, I will be back!! And often!! read more

AMAZING! I'm in town visiting my family and my mom suggested this place for lunch. First off it's very fresh, authentic, delicious food! I got brisket pho and my family all ordered #9 (we can't remember the name). The spring rolls are awesome as well. Our service was excellent and the owner came to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I wish I got photos of our food but we all forgot. Definitely go check them out! It will be my first stop when I come back to visit. They do not sell beer, wine or liquor but you are welcome to bring it with you according to the waitress we had. read more
