Noodle love - front of restaurant
Katie T.

The food scene in Erie is slowly changing and noodle love is part of that! This is located inside Flagship City Food Hall. I had a bulgogi bowl with their chicken option. Great flavor, but the chicken is a little odd. The breading isn't crispy. I think it needs to be marinated in something? Not sure, but the chicken needs improvement. The service was fast and friendly. They have a small bar you can sit at or you can find one of the seats in the rest of the hall. I would return!

Saigon Nights GOOD:…read more Nice food presentation, friendly service, interesting restaurant art BAD: Price for value, neither dish was impressive for the price. I was looking forward to trying Saigon Nights. The inside had nice art work, and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered egg rolls rather then spring rolls. I expected heavier with more filling. They felt and tasted like spring rolls in an egg roll wrapper for over 3.50 each. I ordered the vermicelli with pork and shrimp. It was okay - alot of lettuce, carrots and cucumbers. The pork was good, the shrimp were rubbery tough. I should have stuck to traditional pho, but I wanted something more unique. If I go back, I'd stick with a pho and maybe a bah mi to go.

The pictures made everything look good and I saw a lot of pictures that seem to paint an established Vietnamese bodega ambiance... Was I wrong... I came in around 7:30 (party of 1) and the server said to sit anywhere I'd like. There weren't many options with most of the tables still needing to be bussed. I sat around and luckily bought my computer to do some work. I didn't get to place my order until 8:10 when the owner came around and took my order. It seemed like they were short-staffed with only 1 server. It was kind of awkward with many tables trying to grab the server's attention, all the while, the server, also avoiding the customers that needed attending to. It also seemed to be an issue of lack of restaurant experience, multitasking and working efficiently. I've been in the service industry for awhile and I can definitely relate to being a lone server with many tables. The owner came around and tried to address all of the tables, but probably should have probably done so sooner. She also seemed kind of oblivious on how best she could assist, which seemed a little disorganized. My pho bo vien came out within 5 minutes of placing the order with the owner, which I didn't mind. The broth was darker than usual, which was a bit concerning to me since I hadn't even added hoisin. The hoisin/sriracha carousel wasn't even at my table. I'm also assuming they were out of lime because the usual garnish plate had lemon slices instead. To wrap up my review: they were short-staffed, menu seems a bit over-priced. Novice pho lovers and locals will like this place. If you're Vietnamese/Chinese , from the west coast, or any other metropolitan area you probably won't...

Great concept. Solid location. Lackluster impression. We…read morehave been telling our friends about Enrique's, since we've known them. We planned a weekend in Erie (from Northeast Ohio) and a stop here for lunch was intended to be a highlight. Imagine our shock, dismay and a bit of anger when we arrived to find Enrique's closed. Every app we checked showed them to be open. They were not... But a lot of other businesses were closed as well. Doesn't seem to make sense on a Saturday? The places that were open were not busy, so maybe it's a weekday spot... Hours should be posted accordingly. However, there were bright spots! The cheese steak place was cooking a delicious looking sandwich, when I walked by. Our friends really enjoyed their noodle bowls, as well. We decided to order from the Dominican restaurant and her food was AMAZING! Roasted pork, mixed rice and fried sweet plantains. Flavor was out of this world. The pizza place has a solid selection of drafts. I had a cider that was excellent.

The osace was well laid out, offered a great variety of food options and the bar was a great place to relax with a cold beer and eat the food we grabbed. I can't wait to come back!

I'm not gonna sit here and tell you they have the absolute best food I've ever had. You and me both…read moreknow that'd be bs, and I don't wanna do you like that. That said, I will tell you it's easily the best tasting affordable option for sushi and general Asian fusion cuisine. Out of anywhere in Erie you can get all you can eat sushi, and they are few and far between, this place takes the cake for both price and quality. The service is fantastic, never had a complaint to make, and the vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable and relaxed. If you get the chance, go for lunch. The dinner selection for the all you can eat is much larger, but the lunch is cheaper. Like, 35 bucks for two people give or take, and the food is still just as good. I do miss the eel from dinner though. I go here frequently for a reason. It's just good, all around, so it gets five stars.

The waitress was very nice, and the service was not the problem. Unfortunately, the food and the…read moreso-called all-you-can-eat sushi experience were extremely disappointing. The crab rangoon and miso soup were fair, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about the food. The biggest issue is that the all-you-can-eat menu limits you to just five pieces of sushi or sashimi. After that, they charge $1 for every additional piece. How exactly is that all-you-can-eat sushi? This is incredibly misleading and feels like a scam. The sushi rolls were even worse. They were overwhelmingly rice and cucumber, with such a tiny amount of fish that it was honestly insulting. It felt like they were deliberately filling the rolls with cheap ingredients rather than serving actual sushi. Even dessert was disappointing. The fried ice cream arrived with dough that wasn't fully cooked, which was an unpleasant way to finish an already disappointing meal. I came here expecting an all-you-can-eat sushi experience, not unlimited rice and cucumber with a microscopic amount of fish, extra charges for sushi or sashimi, and undercooked dessert. Save your money and go somewhere else. Extremely disappointing, and I would not return.
