We dined as a gift for Father's Day from our eldest daughter & her hubby. All was fresh, delish, plentiful. Hot foods were hot; cold foods cold and lots of variety!! A local fave! read more

Classic little Chinese buffet, three serving lines with the normal selections. Friendly staff. The vibe was not there. Took it to go and enjoyed the food somewhere else. read more

China Jade - Singapore chicken, egg roll, chicken stick, dumplings - Chinese Near Me - North East, Pennsylvania

Absolutely delicious food and decent prices. A good place to go if you don't feel like cooking dinner.

My extended family & I stopped in for dinner tonight and it was great! I'd been before with my Aunt who lives locally, but this time we brought more family & it was just as good! They have an awesome buffet; more options than you can try in one (or two!) visits. My favorites are the potstickers, sweet & sour, & the lomein (soft noodles). My cousin brought his two year old and she was so excited to eat with chopsticks, and they even had jello for her, which I thought was really sweet. By the time we were leaving it was pouring rain, and they were so sweet & lent me an umbrella to walk my aunt to her car! Such lovely, kind people & wonderfully delicious food!! read more

There was a time we loved coming here. It is close, reasonably priced, and my mother-in-law loved. Then we all noticed the quality slipping. And the prices went up. Then more slippage. When my MIL said she wasn't interested in eating there anymore, we decided that was it. read more

Nice place if you want good quality Chinese food on a budget.espacially buffet style.the place isn't that bad customer service is very good

Doesn't look like much with the outdated furniture and paper plates but once the goodness hit my tastebuds I knew I had a new favorite . This is one of those places that if you judge a book by it's cover you will miss out. Not the largest variety but definitely has the favorites and some new favorites... deep fried pineapple yummmmaaayyy read more

Not a fancy place, but the food was very good. It was very clean and the buffet was not huge, but the food was flavorful and kept very warm. The staff was attentive and kept the buffet items full. Very simple operation and the drinks are included in the price and you serve yourself. Take out is also available at a price per pound. read more

China Jade is the only Chinese restaurant that I can honestly say I love. Wait times are a little longer than usual due to COVID, but it is always worth the wait for good, fresh food! The employees are always polite and smiling, and they never make me feel like I'm a nuisance. I honestly can't wait for the buffet to re-open, but I am so happy that we are able to order take-out! read more

I love China Jade, it might be because for the first like 12 years of my life this was the only Chinese place I ever went to but by now all other Chinese restaurants taste off to me. They always have delicious food out on the buffet and in all the times I've gone I don't remember ever getting cold food from the buffet. They are always pretty nice if a little to the point when you go to order but i wouldn't have it any other way. I've only ever ordered over the phone once during Covid but they made the orders exactly as they were ordered and it only took like 20 - 30 minutes for 4 people. If you're in North East and need a quick bite to eat I really recommend them. I personally recommend the Wontons, Chicken on a Stick and their powdered donuts! read more

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the northwestern Pennsylvania area. Best things are fried dumplings, won ton soup and sesame chicken. Prices extremely reasonable - even cheap. A clean, well lit place. Also terrific buffet. Be sure to sample grilled chicken on stick - yummy! Good portions. No disappointment here. We'll drive twenty miles to get to this place. read more

China Jade - a plate of food with rice and broccoli - Chinese Near Me - North East, Pennsylvania

The buffet is cold every time we go. It's never hot no matter when. If we tell them, they still don't fix the temperature. The many varieties of chicken on the buffet wind up cold and rubbery. read more

I tried the buffet here last year and it was horrible! Bland hot and sour soup and mostly deep fried foods that had been left out under those heat lamps for too long. After reading all the good reviews, my fiance convinced me give it another chance, this time ordering from the menu. Surprisingly, this time the food was good! We ordered sweet and sour chicken (balls) (from the lunch specials menu), shrimp lo mein, and roast pork with veggies and rice. The chicken came out in five minutes, and the inside was nice and fluffy, not dry. The shrimp lo mein was delicious. Vegetables were crisp and they didn't skimp out on shrimp. The pork and veggies was good as well, but they gave us bbq pork, instead of roast pork. We had to take home the pork dish because we couldn't finish it. Overall a good experience. Three dishes and two drinks (free refills) for $17. 3 Stars because the buffet brings it down. read more

Called and order was told 20 minutes. Arrived in 30 minutes. They only yell at you through a window and have no manners. After 65 minutes my food was finally ready. read more

So here's what's up with this place: it's the only game in town. To get to serviceable Chinese food it's about a 30 minute drive out of town. Or go to the freezer aisle and microwave something Chinese. This place is clean and the service is friendly. They offer to-go which is hotter and fresher as it's made to order. The buffet has a lot of chicken offerings. It's not *bad* but it's not *good* either. Given that it's only about $8 for buffet it's fine for what it is. read more

It doesn't get much better than this for Chinese food. I'll travel 20 miles (and pass multiple restaurants on the way) if I'm hankering for spicy food. Conveniently located on Rt 20 and Rt 89 in the heart of North East. Enjoy the scenery after dinner (vineyards, Lake Erie views, and country roads) by taking a ride on Rt 5 or Rt 20. Although inexpensive, china Jade accepts cash only. read more

Food is the best Chinese food I've ever had at restaurant, and I've traveled a lot. Communication with staff can be a challenge and decor isn't the greatest, but the best deal on quality food I've had anywhere. I had the Chicken/Broccoli takeout and was shocked at the quantity and quality of takeout. read more

Listen people, I don't understand why anybody would give this place less than 5 stars! I have lived in big cities that have Chinese food restaurants on every other block, and this place is better than all of them! Their vegetables are always fresh, their meats: chicken beef or seafood are always plentiful and good cuts. The egg rolls are not greasy and their spices and sauces are always on point. They are constantly re-filling their buffet even right up to closing, but do yourself a favor and order one of their specialties made to order, you will never go wrong, buffet is always going to be second best to compared to something you order and it takes no time at all ... I have ordered and gotten my food at the same time as the rest of my family got their buffet. Noth East lucked out with this place! read more

I only give them three stars because their food is not five star quality, but it is pretty good. I eat here all the time for a reasonable price. They definitely have a decent temperature to their food and a really good flavor. I rarely experience over cooked or undercooked food and they always keep their trays full in the buffet. read more

As a buffet, China Jade is two stars; as a dining experience, three, but the price makes up for that--two people for the dinner buffet totaled less than $18, including a soft drink machine. My dad and I visited North East for the First Fridays event around dinnertime. I was in the mood for Chinese (Americanized okay), so we stopped in here. Unlike most buffets, you pay at the counter first. There is no table service--you throw out your own trash and put your own silverware into the bins. The dishes and cups are disposable. The restaurant atmosphere is pretty typical of a Chinese buffet. The buffet is decently sized, but not large enough for a very wide selection. They had the typical dishes--honey chicken, General Tso's, fried dumplings, soups, broccoli and chicken, pepper steak and onions, rice, lo mein, some kind of cream cheese sushi, etc. Some more unique dishes for a buffet included fried (canned) pineapple and cheese wontons. The main dishes were all decent; however, because we arrived a little earlier than the dinner crowd, they had been sitting out for a little too long. This was a little more noticeable for dishes such as the dumplings or chicken on a skewer. Also, in general, any foods with doughy coverings (fried meats, fried pineapple, dumplings, wontons) were too heavily coated. The fresh fruit selection was limited to cantaloupe, though there was some canned fruit as well. Desserts included cakes, cream puffs, and ice cream, none of which were particularly good. Overall, this is an okay, cheap place if you need a quick Chinese fix, but it's definitely not the best I've had. read more

China Jade is a great place for Chinese food in North East, PA. It's one of the few buffet-style places where I don't mind ordering from the menu and dining in. The delivery of my order is usually only about 5 minutes. read more

The main reason for my five-star rating is the overall value. Both of us ate for $15 and that includes drinks. Overall the food is generic but it was fresh, the restrooms are clean and this place met my expectations. read more

Great selection and the yummiest food I've had at a Chinese buffet. Service is helpful and prices are reasonable.

We stopped here on a road trip, on a Sunday. There's a buffet with good food - don't be put off by the Styrofoam plates and cups! Everyone in the place stopped and looked at us when we came in. A little weird. The food choices were varied and everything tasted really good, most notably a pepper chicken. read more

They have really good food, but it is very sticky and gross inside. I recommend eating out of the restaurant and eating at home.

Decent Chinese food but pretty dirty place...had the Mongolian beef, Broccoli with Garlic Sauce and Honey Chicken. Not bad for a small town :) read more

I called ahead for a to go order which included vegetable chop suey, sesame chicken & an order of spring rolls. Since this was my 1st visit I wasn't aware of the buffet they also offer in house. I asked to add a few things to my order they said no problem. The extra tray was weighed, paid for and handed to me. The smell of the warm food in the car was so tempting i wanted to reach in the bag & grab a spring roll. ALL was delicious! Service was good and my friends and I ate good chinese food from an unexpected place :) read more

Just tried their pork with black pepper"............wow I love spicy and this was to die for, also often get their shrimp. They are huge!!!

We were in North East buying wine and, noting all the 5 star ratings, decided to try the Jade. Guess I was taken in by the fake reviews. I notice, on closer inspection, that two of the reviews even use the very same photo. And, the china plate in the photo looks nothing like the Styrofoam plates served there! That said, the buffet was cheap and fairly typical. Worst hot and sour soup I've ever had. It was neither hot nor sour, just a thick gelatinous substance. Also, some of the food, like the egg rolls, had an off taste, like they had been stored uncovered in a refrigerator too long. The cheese and crab stuffed fried won ton was really good, maybe the best I've had. I can think of two reasons to eat here. 1) You are in North East, craving Chinese, and don't want to drive into Erie. 2) You are short of money and want to eat all you can for $6. read more
