Don't let the outside of this restaurant fool you. The outside needs some TLC. The inside was nice and clean. I passed it for a year and a half thinking it was a little run down and closed. We decided to order take out today and so glad we did! It was very good and flavorful. We had Fried Pot Stickers with sauce and it was delicious! Sweet n Sour Pork was fresh and also very good. Mei Fun noodles were good but very thin. I should have got Lo Mein Noodles, next time. General Tao's Chicken good. Love the batter on the chicken and sauce was flavorful. The Fried Rice was great. I was in the "mood" for Chinese food, I searched the area what had good reviews around here. I saw a place in Solon, but unfortunately, they closed at 8pm on Sundays (pandemic schedule apparently). So I searched more and found this place....they close at 8:30pm!!! Just enough time! Called and put-in our order and went to pick it up. When she read me my order back, I thought I had ordered pork instead of chicken. When the nice lady behind the counter noticed my disappointment, she nicely said "don't worry, they're both good." At-home, unpacking this food, we were glad to see that they use fresh ingredients and not the over-breaded, commercially produced pieces. Instead, we got fresh cuts of white meat chicken, and my wife got the beef and she was very pleased with that too! Eating the food, I couldn't help but chuckle at what the lady said...and she was right. But next time I'm getting the pork! I live less than 5 miles from this place, We've lived in this area almost 7 years now...I can't believe just now, We decided to give this place a try! There's a saying..."don't judge a book by its cover"....this place is so unassuming from the outside, with its plain brick structure and the building oddly facing sideways. This place was recommended. They have a $13.95 combo meal that gives you a ton of food I was told. So that's what we got. And we got it to go in the era of COVID. Otherwise menu seemed to be standard fair on most menus. I got the sesame chicken and my partner got the sweat and sour chicken. It comes with fried rice and an egg roll. Let's start by saying yes, they do provide a generous portion of food. The chicken was generous and so was the rice. To be honest it was 2.5 meals. I took some for lunch the next 2 days. The sesame chicken was good. In a brown sauce that was very tastee. They gave me 2 stalks of broccoli which makes me wonder if it was a garnish or should I have more broccoli? That confused me. The sweet and sour chicken was also good. Sauce is under the chicken making it a bit soggy because the chicken lays in it. It would be better on the side in a container. First time I have been here , Ordered Family dinner for two takeout, and came out in about 15 minutes young girl brought it and I asked if it was all there she said yes. The bag was all tied up like all Chinese place's kina do, they used a plastic bag and not paper so on the way home I had to keep one hand on the top which had soup on top.. Got it home and noticed the most important part of the dinner was not in the bag, the fried rice.. or in fact any rice. I did call and they apologized but I was not going to drive back 20 minutes and then back home 20 minutes for the rice. Shame on them.. they should of gotten the order correct. The TSO general chicken was like little hard rocks, the sweet and sour chicken layered in grease, the eggrolls were overcooked and everything had a heavy oily taste much more than normal Chinese. The only thing that was good was the wonton soup everything else was overcooked and hard.. won't be going back here at all, too bad you lost a customer that would have bought a lot if you only did it correct.! We were in the mood for Chinese food last night and decided to try out Hakka Wok. We have lived in the area for years and never visited this establishment, as it has changed names a few times. We have been reading reviews on Yelp and Facebook that have been very positive so we decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed. The food was really, really good!! In fact, in comparison to Chinese restaurants in the area, our experience last night was the food quality was better than the other local establishments. Don't get me wrong, the other establishments really all have good food, it's just that our experience at Hakka Wok stood out. We had Wonton Soup, two types of Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Egg Foo Young and all portions of the meal were fresh, flavorful and full of quality. You can tell the food product used is of good quality, meaning they use white meat chicken, the pork is tasteful and all of portions were plentiful. We definitely recommend you try Hakka Wok. Portions were generous The food was tasty and fresh. Chinese could be heard spoken in the kitchen as well as in the dining room... a good sign for me at a Chinese restaurant. The a General Tso's Chicken was made well - the sauce was not too heavy and the taste was not dependent on the fried breading. For years I drove by this sketchy "Peking Garden" place and thought "Who in his right mind would ever go in there? Do they have a real menu or is it whatever they catch out by the dumpster each morning? When people first started posting about the new Chinese place across from Geauga Lake I was like WTF? It can't be. But it was. I noticed that the exterior of the building was cleaned up a bit, but was still hesitant to give it a try. Started reading some good reviews and saw photos of the nice looking dining area. Decided to give it a go, but of course before we got the chance COVID shut everything down. Last week I thought about getting some carryout, but the Yelp link for the hakkawok-aurora website is dead and there is only a partial menu photo here. The complete one (front and back) is on zmenu. IDK if it's allowed to copy their pics to this site so I wont try. Anyway we finally got carryout there for the first time the other night. For protection they have clear plastic between the cashier and customers, but there's only room for like three people in the waiting area. The cashier was very nice. We ordered Pad Thai, Hot & Sour Soup, and the Kung Pao Chicken Combo which comes with fried rice and an egg roll. The food was all pretty good and the dinner combos are a decent value. Ordered takeout. Arrived and paid for my food. Was told it would be 10-15 minutes till my food was ready. Waited and watched 7-10 guests enter and 3-4 of them receive their food. No interaction with me after taking my payment for at least 20 minutes. At this point with my payment in hand already its pretty hard for me to head down the street to one of the fast food options available to me, so sit I will. I have eaten here in the past a dozen times. The food keeps me coming back but they truly MUST improve wait times or provide better estimates when ordering. Also please interact and update the 5 people crammed into your waiting room who have very little room to stand. Lesson learned again though. It's totally different dishes from the previous owner, very authentic Hakka Style food, it's so hard to find a good Chinese restaurant in Twinsburg/Aurora area but this is definitely worth to try! If you like the Chinese-American food, they are on the menu, if you would like to to try something different, order the dishes from the Chinese menu. The waiting time is a little bit longer but let's be patient for the new restaurant since all dishes are made after the order. There are several dishes I really like, Five Favors Duck, Hakka stuffed tofu, Hakka Mei Fun, 3 cup chicken... will need to try more authentic food later. read more

My Wife and visited our best friends on the east side and told us to get takeout from this restaurant. Our friends are Asian and we take their recommendations seriously. We got home and love the magic flavors in the food. Good job to the Chefs! If you go there get the ( Real Chinese menu) education on Asian food is a key people.
