This was our first time at Sand Pebbles Restaurant this evening and their food is . We started with the lettuce wraps, sand pebble roll, aurora roll, sand pebble pad thai and finished our meal with the crunchy banana dessert. Everything was amazing from start to finish and I'm already wondering what I will order next visit. :) Sand Pebbles has ranked my new favorite restaurant and that says a lot because I'm super picky! Don't walk, but run to this place. You will not be disappointed.

After having had several great experiences at their sister restaurant in Pinecrest, I decided to give this Aurora location a try. The dining room is much larger and the bar is fairly large, but parking is limited and I was forced to park in the pizza shop lot next door. This restaurant has a different feel than its counterpart but not in a bad way. The ambiance is a little less trendy but it is also less noisy and great for larger groups. There were two servers and one bar tender then night we came. Only the bar tender seemed to speak enough English to take our order but the other servers did check on us and try to assist when they could. The menu is exactly try the same as Pinecrest but they also have a huge sushi menu where they give you a marker to check all the rolls you wish to try. We skipped sushi tonight and opted for the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Sand Pebbles Pad Thai. Although we waited for about 15 minutes before someone came to take our order, our food came out in about 10 minutes and it was delicious! Both dishes were outstanding. The lettuce wraps are big enough to eat alone as an entree and the pad Thai was enormous. They loaded it with the most light and crispy chicken I've ever tasted - we had enough to take two big pieces home with us. The shrimp on the pad Thai were also large and flavorful. I have been to this restaurant chain 4 times now and have yet to get a bad dish or bad service. I can't say enough about these guys - if you like Asian food (the menu includes Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Singapore, etc) and are looking for good value for your money and a great meal, check out either location. You can't go wrong here.

David and I stopped in last minute for a quick but healthy bite and Sand Pebbles nailed it AGAIN!!! It was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you again Pearl and team.

Something's not quite right. I've had good experiences here in the past but the quality has gotten worse while the prices have increased. Was only able to stomach a few bites of the pad thai. It tastes nothing like a normal pad thai and has thin overcooked noodles with a gelatanous brown sauce that was actually kind of gross. For $20, it felt wasted. I don't expect to come here again. The restaurant itself is nice. Lots of natural light and seating options. Want to give two stars because of positive prior experiences, but really can't recommend given the dissapointing food.

Nice place near Aurora Farms that had good Yelp reviews. Sushi, Thai and Vietnamese food. We had a few sushi rolls which were fresh, large and nicely displayed, squid app which was mostly rings and pad Thai with extra shrimp. Pad Thai was very good, especially with the extra shrimp. All were good, but service was a little slow. Seems like the wait staff may also be the sushi chef. A little on the pricy side - $60, but would prefer to pay more for good food. Keep up the good work but get some wait staff.

Top spot to eat at Pinecrest! Food and service is always top tier, love the Panang Curry and can't go wrong with any of chicken dishes!

First of all, the place is beautiful. You will want to stand and stare a minute when you first arrive, from the cherry blossoms overhead to the gorgeous art painted on the walls. We were welcomed immediately and seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and efficient, again this was no small task with a bit group at a very busy time. She made great recommendations and we started with several appetizers for the table: Crab rangoon Mozzarella stick, Goyza, and crunchy rice with avocado. They were all good and cooked to perfection, but the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks were show stoppers. This is fun fusion at its finest, and everyone agreed we could have just lived on those. We had to put in sushi orders early as there was a bit of a backup with the kitchen, but our server did a great job of keeping us informed about the timing and made all the entrees work out so people getting hot dishes got them at the same time as people who ordered cold dishes. I had the sora roll which is another great fashion dish with a simple tempura shrimp and avocado roll upscaled by adding thin slices of wagyu beef, spicy mayo and dark sweet soy. I loved the combo. My wife had the peking duck and said it was fantastic with a good bit of flavor and a hint of kick, cooked to perfection so it didn't get dry. My son had the mushroom risotto which he said was very flavorful, and carried a bit of asian spiciness. Other people at the table had sushi, the katsu chicken, and the crab fried rice. No one was disappointed! Finally my wife and I split the smoked creme brûlée and all I can say is, you should save room for dessert because this was a fantastic spin on a classic! The only thing I would note is that it's not a quiet restaurant. Do not expect to have a hushed or private conversation here, but even with the big group I could still hear everyone, so it's not like it's ear splitting or anything. Honestly, every part of this experience impressed me and I would love to go back next time I'm in town.

While I felt bad for her I also was starving! I didn't even get an order for food in until an hour plus after I was sat and didn't get the food until an hour after that, it was a big yikes The management did give me a gift card but I honestly would rather they just staffed better. the sushi- really disappointed, especially after all the great reputation. the pricing- quite high, especially for the amount of sushi received. OVERALL I guess I will be back to use my gift card, probably on takeout, for the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks

It's beautifully decorated, warm, and inviting without being over the top. We started with the Thai tea, and it's an absolute must. It's that perfect balance of strong black tea, sweetness, and creaminess--easily one of our favorite drinks and they nailed it here. For food, the beef pho was exactly what you want--rich, hearty, and super comforting. It came with a generous side of fresh condiments so you can customize each bite. We also tried the vermicelli with shrimp and pork, which was just as impressive. It was loaded with fresh veggies like cucumber, carrots, lettuce, and bean sprouts, plus crunchy peanuts and an incredibly flavorful fish sauce that tied everything together. Service was pretty fast even on a busy night, which we really appreciated. They also offer to-go cups for drinks--a small but thoughtful touch. Overall, everything felt fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.

The Chicken Noodle Pho came in two containers - one was the broth and the other one had rice noodles, shredded chicken breast, thinly sliced green onion, and fried red onion. The General Tso chicken was a letdown across the board. No heat, barely any sauce, and the lightly steam broccoli came out cold and wet, which made my crispy chicken a soggy lukewarm mess. That's a fundamental execution issue. A friend ordered the ramen and had it worse -- crunchy noodles and a cold soup base. Cold ramen broth isn't a style choice, it's a mistake. Front of house compounded the experience. Slow, visibly uncertain, and in clear need of training. You can tell the staff wants to do well but hasn't been given the tools to get there.
