I ordered green curry and fried spring rolls (2). Portion size is unusually small. I ordered online and asked that the zucchini be replaced with either red or green pepper. Upon pick up, I was charged an additional $4.50 for extra broccoli, green pepper, and red pepper!!! I counted 6 pieces of broccoli and minimal amount of very thinly sliced peppers. This place is yummy!! I'm picky with pad thai but this one was saucy, sweet, and spicy. My husband was jealous because the drunken pad thai wasn't as good as my Pad thai. The Drunken Pad thai had a fresh herbal kick at the end and wasn't as saucy, tasted more like lo mein. I was staying at a near by hotel, this restaurant popped up in my search... very happy I gave it a try! Both food and service were good...I did not give it 5 stars because the fried spring rolls had very little filling. I have been coming to this resturant for years. The food is always excellent. I was meeting a friend for lunch, and we were seated along the wall on a half bench/chair table. Once seated, we realized that the person sitting on the bench sits at a much higher height than the person sitting in the chair. It was very odd. There were on 2 couples in the restaurant, so we got up and asked the red headed waitress if we could sit at a different table. The place was practically empty, so we didn't think it would be a problem. Thai Eatery always satisfies my Thai cravings. I've tried their tom yum noodle soup and khao soi; both were really tasty! I haven't tried their pad thai yet (that's usually the first thing I order whenever I try a new Thai place, but I decided to try something different this time.) I did try their pad see ew, but togo, and it was pretty tasty. A little oily though so I blotted them towards the end of my meal (don't use thin napkins for this, the napkin will literally stick to your noodles. Use the Bounty kind or something a little thicker haha...) A tad soggy towards the bottom of the container, but flavor was still good. Decent amount of shrimp, and spice level was a good for the mild level I chose. I was impressed with how fast they got my togo order ready though. I ordered in person, and I think in 15 minutes it was ready. Thai Eatery is a bit of a small establishment - I'd say about 10 tables. Ambience is nice though and service is friendly the times I've gone. I probably wouldn't bring a group of 7+ without calling first. You can probably fit 5 with someone sitting at the end of the table, which I've seen before. read more

Got home and it was the same take out containers are still exactly the same as they always were - and the food was HALF of what it used to be. Seriously? I get inflation but that's ridiculous! The inside is remodeled and not a single person of any Asian persuasion was working there. Just a bunch of random definitely not Asian people working. Did they sell the business? We tried the Pad Thai and Pad See Eaw. Both dishes very fresh, richly flavored, and the right balance of sweet and spicy. This is a hidden gem - truly one of the best Thai restaurants, on par with any you'll find in a larger city. Skip the chain restaurants on Peach and give this place a try. We were passing through on the interstate on our way back home. We looked up thai places around the Erie area. This appeared to be the best! We were to arrive at 8:28 & they closed at 9. Normally we dont like to cut it that close but we figured it was plenty of time for them to get us in and out. We walked in at 8:26 PM and they almost didn't serve us. They said they close at 9 but their kitchen closes at 8:30. Ummm, you're a restuarant. This is what you do. If you're going to close the kitchen at 8:30, then close the entire restaurant at 8:30--dont advertise 9. That's not good for people who drive out of their way to come eat at your restaurant and get denied. Aside from that....the food was amazing!!!! We enjoyed what we got. My husband got the pad thai and I got the Tom yum noodles. There was great flavor in both dishes and I'm very particular about my Tom yum. Hands down the best asian/thai food in the area. The thai ice tea is super tasty. I usually go with the pad kee mao or the pad see ew, both of which are very good items. The Drunken mama and the different curry options are not bad options too. I am not a huge fan of eggplant but their eggplant dish is also very good. When you usually think of thai food you usually think of pad thai; however, the pad thai here is really lackluster and I would not recommend it.
