I'm not gonna sit here and tell you they have the absolute best food I've ever had. You and me both…read moreknow that'd be bs, and I don't wanna do you like that. That said, I will tell you it's easily the best tasting affordable option for sushi and general Asian fusion cuisine. Out of anywhere in Erie you can get all you can eat sushi, and they are few and far between, this place takes the cake for both price and quality. The service is fantastic, never had a complaint to make, and the vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable and relaxed. If you get the chance, go for lunch. The dinner selection for the all you can eat is much larger, but the lunch is cheaper. Like, 35 bucks for two people give or take, and the food is still just as good. I do miss the eel from dinner though. I go here frequently for a reason. It's just good, all around, so it gets five stars.

The waitress was very nice, and the service was not the problem. Unfortunately, the food and the…read moreso-called all-you-can-eat sushi experience were extremely disappointing. The crab rangoon and miso soup were fair, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about the food. The biggest issue is that the all-you-can-eat menu limits you to just five pieces of sushi or sashimi. After that, they charge $1 for every additional piece. How exactly is that all-you-can-eat sushi? This is incredibly misleading and feels like a scam. The sushi rolls were even worse. They were overwhelmingly rice and cucumber, with such a tiny amount of fish that it was honestly insulting. It felt like they were deliberately filling the rolls with cheap ingredients rather than serving actual sushi. Even dessert was disappointing. The fried ice cream arrived with dough that wasn't fully cooked, which was an unpleasant way to finish an already disappointing meal. I came here expecting an all-you-can-eat sushi experience, not unlimited rice and cucumber with a microscopic amount of fish, extra charges for sushi or sashimi, and undercooked dessert. Save your money and go somewhere else. Extremely disappointing, and I would not return.

Imperial Palace has been a favorite go-to for me and my family for years. While the regular buffet…read moreis usually good, for me, the hibachi beats all. It is always delicious, especially if the right person is manning the grill and putting the sauce on in the beginning, rather than at the end. We recently visited the restaurant three times, after taking nearly a year and a half off -- not because of the pandemic, but because the service and quality had taken a huge nosedive during the pandemic. Two visits during the pandemic caused us to give up on this restaurant, but I was so in the mood for it recently that we caved and went back... and kept going back. I'm happy to report that whatever hiccups they were having seem to be resolved. Favorite "regular buffet" dishes for me include honey chicken, bourbon chicken, pot stickers, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, vegetable lo mein, and those little fried doughnuts. I usually go for a mixed plate from the regular buffet after polishing off my plate from the hibachi. Only negative seems to be that they no longer have pork as part of the hibachi. For about $30 with drinks and tip for 2 people at lunch time, you can really get your money's worth and not be hungry later on. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.

The fried shrimp was the texture of beef jerky. You can see the steam from all the trays but nothing was warm. When I informed the manager that I will not be eating and just charge me for my drink, she looked at me like I had 3 heads, scoffed at me then walked away with my plate. Not an apology, not even acknowledgment of the problem. Very rude and awkward!

I'm from the New York City metro area, so I'll admit that I've been spoiled by all of the amazing…read morefood options there. However, Ling Ling is definitely worth the try! This was my first Chinese meal since moving to Erie 3 months ago and I was impressed. First, the dining room was clean and I was able to serve myself hot tea while waiting. Better yet, my meal was ready maybe 5 minutes after I ordered it. I ordered a Chicken and Broccoli combo (includes fried rice and an egg roll) which was a little over $7. I'm surprised that didn't include a drink, which I'd rather have over the egg roll. As far as the food goes, my chicken and broccoli meal reminded me of home. The portion size was reasonable, the food was nice and hot, and it was delicious. I didn't have to deal with stale food or anything that tasted too salty. My friend ordered an egg drop soup and enjoyed it. I don't think she was crazy about the lo mein though. This will definitely be my go-to spot for Chinese take-out, whether it's lunch or dinner. Next time I go, I'll see if I can exchange an egg roll for a can of soda!

I saw the darkest thickest black piece of hair wrapped around a piece of chicken. I called the restaurant and the first guy answered told him I found a piece of hair in the lo mein. He said oh hang on and got someone else on the phone. I told him I found hair in the chicken lomein and he said oh you want to come back and get a new one. I said no I want a refund for my lo mein. He said oh yeah sure, next time you come back we will give you a refund. Did not ask for any information just OK sure. Sounded like an empty promise. Then he went on to say we wear hats so it shouldn't happen but it still does. Like it was not a big deal. I am sorry but I do not want to find an extra hairy surprise in my food. That is not good eats.
