Cheers July 2017 I am starting to get really disappointed with 777... even though the food is very good, the service is killing me. Take out is getting to be hit or miss... the phone never has a message stating they are closed unexpectedly or like now when a unexpected prolong closing is taking place. Just getting really disappointed. Still love the 44! August 2018... I should have updated long ago as 777 has done me well. Food has always been good but what I really appreciate is that they are doing a better job at updating the phone messages if they happen to be closed! Everything was brought out piping hot, and of course, the pho herbs, condiments, and veggies were super fresh and served in abundance The eggrolls all came out hot and fresh. The wrappers were perfectly crispy on the outside, and the filling was fresh on the inside. I did not taste the summer rolls, but everyone said they were excellent. I personally had the combination pho and wish it had a little bit more meat. I would say the amount was less than at other Vietnamese restaurants, but overall it was still really delicious and filling. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the broth was perfectly seasoned. The total for the table was only $75, which I felt was reasonable for four people and the amount of food we received. Overall, a solid Vietnamese restaurant in Winston. The summer rolls were equally as fresh and delicious. The filling of cold rice noodles, crisp lettuce and shrimp then dipped in the accompanying peanut sauce was just as delicious. We ordered one pork and one beef Banh Mi. The first thing I noticed was how plentiful the meat was in each one. Usually it's a light sandwich but these were very hefty in comparison to others I've had. My meat was very savory and had a very tender texture, almost like pot roast. It was also the juiciest pork I've ever had in a Banh mi. The picked vegetables were also really good but both our sandwiches were missing the jalapeno I've come to expect. My husband really enjoyed his beef one as well but we both noticed how the bread lacked that crusty flaky quality that Vietnamese baguettes normally have. This was more of a sub roll with a chewy texture and softer crust. The flavors were great, I just missed the textures I have come to expect in an authentic Banh mi.
