Visited Lang Van and the Vietnamese dishes were truly outstanding -- fresh, flavorful, and memorable. The only thing that gave me pause was the final bill. I should've asked for a detailed breakdown but they were so busy, as the total felt higher than expected for what we ordered. Also, parking can be a challenge during peak hour, so be mentally prepared for a wait or plan to arrive before peak time. Still, the food itself absolutely delivered.

Came on a Fri night at 6PM and already a line out the door. Parking lot was full. We waited about 15 mins to get seated (only two of us). By the time we left, the line was twice as long and people were parked so tight it was hard to get out. We ordered the same items as before (#61 Stir Fry Vermicelli Noodles with Chicken Curry & Pineapple Pecan Chicken Special) and they were excellent again! They really need some local IPA's added to their beer menu. The staff really hustles to turn the tables!

The Good This restaurant was lauded by the Top Chef judges when they were in Charlotte filming the last season. We love Vietnamese food so we took an Uber to the restaurant from our hotel in Uptown Charlotte. $33 later we were disappointed The bad The pho had a watery broth The dish the waitress recommended (trust me) wasn't good. Broad noodles with shrimp, beef, chicken and vegetables. The summer roll was the best we've had so that should be in the good category The Uber back to the hotel was $27 Service was friendly Decor is old school with lots of Christmas lights

This is a must-go in Charlotte. Very authentic Vietnamese food with a vast selection of dishes from vermicelli to rice to Pho and more. The service was amazing! People are so friendly, you can tell it's very community oriented with the way they treat their customers and talk to them like they've been long time friends -- they have a huge wall filled with cards from families. They move really fast so prepare to be slightly overwhelmed. They get you seated quickly, then they might try to rush you into getting apps for the table (or they might just recommend something / order it for you) which was fine because it was delicious lol. Very cute spot and feels like you're right at home!

I came here with my family for my birthday lunch! Small and cozy restaurant, the wait staff team was friendly. I loved my waitress she was attentive, knowledgeable, and funny. I came here originally after the Pho, but the vegetarian (#72) fresh rice noodles caught my attention. My family each tried a bite and said it was the best thing on the table. I also enjoyed the hot jasmine tea. We are definitely coming back!

This place was recommended as the best Vietnamese restaurant in Charlotte. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there was a pretty long line. The food was yummy but it wasn't the best pho I've ever had however, the curry was delicious and I will be going back to try more items.

Lang Van is always a good experience. Customer service is always phenomenal & the food is flavorful. Enjoyed my pho and fresh summer rolls. The restaurant is always clean and put together even during busy hours.

The food was great and Yen was genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to make sure our dinner here was enjoyable, and her recommendations were great. This place appears like it's very neighborhood friendly and I would highly recommend.

We were craving Asian food after being in the South for days and found this place on Yelp. By the time we got in for dinner, they were pretty busy but they still had some open tables so we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered spring rolls, banh crocs and Hu Tieu, which is supposed to be a noodle soup according to my husband, but it came out to be a stir fry dish. I liked the spring rolls but it felt like it was rolled in haste. The banh xeo was delicious! It was crispy and had a generous amount of pork and shrimp. The Hu Tieu was a bit too salty so that's my least favorite dish. The staff seemed to know most of the customers there and the customers who were there seemed to be regulars. It's pretty cool to know that this place has a lot of regulars because it means their service and food are consistent!

Another great meal. This place does not disappoint. Always a great and charming service. They make you feel welcomed. The food is simple and delicious. I have visited this restaurant several times and never had a bad experience. You need to try this place if you are in the area.

Saw this place with good ratings and wanted to check it out before leaving Charlotte. The ambiance and decor seemed very fitting for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. They had a lot of options from different regions that you don't normally see at every restaurant. Our checked on us frequently and helped answer some questions. I had to the Vietnamese coffee because it's the best. We also shared the fresh spring rolls, beef pho and broken rice with pork chop and egg quiche. Spring rolls weren't the best, it barely had vermicelli noodles in it and mostly veggies. The sauce was mostly hoisin and didn't have that distinct peanut flavor that I'm used to. The pho was lacking a bit of depth in the broth although the noodles and meat were cooked well. I think what I enjoyed the most was the rice dish with pork chop. While I do think the food is authentic, I did find it lacking in some flavor on some of the dishes.

My non-Viet friend was hyping this place up so much so I came in with quite a bit of expectation. Upon walking in, I was greeted with a very homey and friendly vibe. The wall was fully decorated with holiday cards from everyone who came and loved the restaurants, which really spoke to how well loved the restaurant is. The staffs all greeted me warmly. I honestly couldnt decide on what to get but ended up with the classic, Pho, and a Goi Ga (chicken salad). And oh my, my expectations were met. The Goi Ga sauce was excellently seasoned and the chicken was tender. The Pho broth was insane, so close to the taste I had growing up in Vietnam. I highly highly recommend visiting this gem if you're ever in CLT!

Last Sunday was the first time going here, and I've lived in Charlotte all my life. Why I haven't been is to unknown. This place is fantastic and awesome customer service. Can't wait to go back

Do they have a menu for gluten free offerings?

No but the restaurant will customize dishes

Do they have Pad Thai here?

They are a Vietnamese restaurant, so they don't have Pad Thai. However, they do have a lot of noodle dishes that may tickle your fancy. You'll love it either way! Happy eats!!!

The restaurant was suspiciously empty for a Saturday afternoon, besides us there was another family dining in. But, I did notice they were pushing out a ton of to go orders, so that's a good sign. Our servers were so polite, and offered insight on some of the popular items on the menu. We had the chicken pot stickers and they were good. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet, which was absolutely delicious! The broth was prefect, you usually have to doctor pho up to get it to taste right, but that was not needed with this pho. I have to say this is the best pho I've had to date!!! The broth was simple yet flavorful, the vegetables were fresh, and the meat was tender. Everything was delightful. Service was great, the food was fresh and delicious. We agreed that we would definitely come back. What a great hidden gem.

Now once you arrive, you sit down and they take your order as opposed to ordering yourself at a kiosk like before. They did add some things to their menu but unfortunately got rid of a lot of things, including our favorite bowls which is why we went there a lot. They added calamari which we love but unfortunately these were not the best. No flavor. Vietnamese coffee was strong and sweet. They got rid of their rice bowls and anything "created your own" the noodles bowls only come with cucumbers, sprouts, lettuce, noodles and protein of you want. Before you fould customize it and add a plethora of things to it which we loved and was very filling (refrence my older pics posted). Unfortunately the noodle bowl was just lacking with the minimal ingredients offered and it was not very flavorful at all. Upon learning these new changes, I don't believe we will be returning.

I checked out this place for a late lunch, and here's the deal…read more.. The place itself was very inviting, cozy and nicely decorated. I also appreciated its pictured menu. Service was good as well. I actually came here to try their hand-made dumplings...and came highly anticipating their "Rainbow" varieties! Well, sadly, there was a problem with their "Rainbow" Dumplings. While they tasted pretty good, I didn't get all 5 colors (as advertised). In fact, the red one, featuring Beef (my favorite?), was missing....and in its place, I got 2 yellow ones. How disappointing is that?!? Also, the presentation was a bit sloppy! There goes an opportunity for me to post it on my Instagram...Oh Well! Anyway, the waitress quickly offered to take the incomplete "Rainbow' Dumplings off my bill, so that was pretty cordial. As I mentioned to her, it's somewhat of a pet peeve of mine to see that these "Rainbow" Dumplings turn out to be not a full rainbow of colors...something that I've been repeatedly experiencing in various restaurants. I feel that if they are missing a color (or 2), they should tell the diners. Anyway, I appreciated how they corrected this mistake. I also tried their Basil Chicken, which came with a bowl of rice. This was my first time trying this dish, and I loved how it was so fresh! Seemingly healthy, yet very tasty! I also enjoyed their Virgin Lychee Mojito...but I wish they served it in a glass...and not a plastic cup like some fast food joint. If they served a complete "Rainbow" Dumplings as advertised, and served the Lychee Mojito in a glass, I would have easily dropped 5 stars...but unfortunately, the dining experience was flawed. Still, I thought this was a great restaurant addition to Park Square, in Charlotte (right next to Fiamma). Hopefully they'll have the full "Rainbow" Dumplings next time??
