Just off Magill Road you will find this bright and bubbly café ready to make you a great cup of…read morecoffee. Busy during lunch periods and weekends with the locals, you will need to get here early to get a good spot. The café is not that big, so be sure to take that into consideration depending on the time of the day. All of the tables are lined with butchers paper and crayons are on offer for the kids to draw, while parents enjoy some well earned recharge time. I love that the café collects fun drawings and pops them up on the wall to display! I can imagine that children would love to see their pieces of art on the wall when they return. If you need coffee, you will fine strong and flavoursome beans here. Just what I love! I like a well rounded coffee that picks me up with a kick of caffeine. That is why I always order a strong flat white. And that is exactly what I received. Perfect! After a long morning, coffee always goes well with a treat. Oh yeah, bring on the Dutch Style Brownie. A little drier than most brownies; But I think that is the style. Nice chocolate flavour and really hit the spot. I am told that the brekkie and lunch here are also really good. So I endeavour to return to try that as well. Last thing to point out, the staff are really lovely. Be sure to know that you and your guests will be well looked after.

The new kid on the block is definitely worth a stop. With their 'nothing is too much trouble…read moreattitude', interesting and delicious menu and excellent coffee, the owners are on a winner. They have an all day breakfast, lunch and snacks menu which ranges from a few dollars to around $13 for the bigger meals. Vegetarian & gluten free options available, and they'll happily mix and match if the selection doesn't quite fit your bill. They're currently only closed Monday and open 8-4 Tuesday - Saturday; 9-4 Sunday. It's tiny (maybe 5 tables) with a few spots outside, but well worth putting on your coffee route. Masses of parking around the back, but slow down coming up Magill Road or you'll miss it. Keep an eye out for their big yellow sign and a couple of yellow chairs out the front.

A new cafe in an old corner grocery store has breathed life back into a sad little shop…read more We went there for a Friday morning coffee (opens at 830) and 3 hours later we were still there after our 2nd cups/pots of tea that pour seemingly endless cups (ok..maybe 3). It's advertised as a cooking school, cafe and "stuff" venue, and is starting slowly with openings just Mon - Friday until 4pm, but they have events coming up, and have various cooking opportunites, including classes for kids - so keep up to date on https://www.facebook.com/FiveLittleFigs. The breakfasts that were served looked generous and delicious, and they have gluten, wheat and vegan food on offer and it looks fresh and sumptuous...next time! They cater to children, so if you're worried about young people playing (and crying) - don't come! I see this as a refuge for parents who want to meet their friends while their kids can draw on the chalk board or have something to eat at their own table. Support a new local, or pop out of your way for a quirky, delicious cafe.

She greeted us personally and gave us a warm welcome. I love the menus! What a novel idea to have them made out of little children's books. Read a little story while waiting - why not? Or just dwell in the reverie that such an item evokes. The atmosphere is fun and friendly with quirky and lovely decor that has been well described in other reviews. Suffice it to say that there is much to look at, enjoy and also purchase. The food was delicious! I love an all day breakfast option and am particularly impressed with the varied bread and non-bread options. e.g. I had a breakfast dish, called 'smashed' which was served on sweetcorn fitters. Delicious non-bread accompaniment to eggs and salmon. My dining companions ordered the pumpkin burger and apparently that was scrumptious. Really healthy too. It looked amazing. Michelle's attention to detail, atmosphere, quality and presentation of food and ability to create warm feelings and fun, make this a great place to come (they also have cooking classes for children and various other activities you can keep abreast of on Facebook).

It's not a big place and it's not that flash from the outside but upon entry I was greeted warmly, with a smile, and had my coffee order immediately attended to whilst I perused the large wall menu, large in actual size not choice but I didn't need lots. I opted for a classic egg bacon brioche burger and it ticked all the boxes. The bun remained intact to the very end, the seasoning was just right, the ingredients were delicious, the coffee was awesome, and I left very happy. I almost left with a take away but I had to leave in a rush and the lovely barista was busy with the dishes. Next time.

The staff welcome you as family, the garden is in fact a real, wonderfully garden, and they provide a true soil to plate menu. The herbs used to garnish my dish were picked in front of my from the garden no more than two minutes before my dish was served to me. What a wonderful place to sit for a quiet Saturday morning's work, or to socialise with friends and family. A cubby house is Nestle in the rear of the garden to entertain the little ones and it's perhaps one of the most dog friendly cafes in Adelaide. An absolute hidden gem.
