Snot Chocolates, Huntsmans and Scoopalespressos sound like things you would find in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but Taylor Blend Espresso is a far cry from Wonka's crazy antics and more like a hidden wonderland of coffee and "exotic drinks." Those cheeky Stoneyfellians have been hiding this place from the general public for years and I can see why. This place, despite being of simple fit out and design really has an element of shock and awe to it as you are constantly giggling to yourself about some quirky detail in the place. For example, I swear these guys are telepathic... my soy latte arrived in my hands before I even ordered. I hadn't even paid for my coffee yet and it was sitting in front of me! Not only that but this place caters for the child inside everyone... - Snot Chocolate = Hot Chocolate with yellow and green marshmallows on top (get the picture) - Gelarossa = Frozen Blood Orange juice with lemon gelati - Huntsman = A hyped up version of a "spider" Furthermore their exotic drinks are worth a try just for something different. Although you really aren't being that exotic but having an iced coffee with some chocolate on top (Chino Ghiacciato) you still feel slightly naughty by ordering it. So why the 4 stars, you're raving Chloe, you're raving! I know... I really have to try this place again to be sure but I had a low fat lemon cheese cake that wasn't to die for (it wasn't lemony but more sugary) and I am a bit of a lemon dessert connoisseur! read more

Taylor Blend has quickly become one of Adelaide's finest coffee shops. Hidden away in the eastern suburbs, it's location is perfect for a morning get-together or an after work chill-out. Being fortunate enough to live only a couple of streets away, it's become one of my favourite spots out of both convenience and their great coffee. The breakfast/lunch menu is limited to croissants, focaccias and the like; however the desert cabinet is very appetizing, especially the wide selection of macarons in all of their colourful glory. Service is always super quick; I can't think of any instance where I've waited any longer than a minute for my coffee. They also have a selection of coffee/espresso accessories for sale for those of you that take the spirit of the barista home with you. The shop is dog-friendly and has water dishes for your canine counterparts whilst you sip your coffee. With Newland Reserve directly across the road, it's an ideal spot to wind down after taking your dog for a run or spending a day out with the family soaking up the sunshine. J ust keep in mind that being situated in the eastern suburbs means you're probably going to be in the vicinity of a few pretentious housewives now and then, with their dolled-up Chihuahuas included. read more

It started with a regular walk of the area with a group of friends on a Sunday, but then we discovered TB and the skilful owner Jos. So now it's turned into a regular walk AND a coffee...although that's already sneaking up to two. The coffee is consistantly delicious with "fresh" milk (in a cow no more than 12 hours before we believe), freindly but frantic staff and a pleasant view over the baseball fields of Stonyfell. The weekends are packed, so be prepared to grab any seats when they become available, wait for a table or do takeaway and sit in the park. Alternatively make friends and they might secure you a spot in the future. Also try to time your arrival before the 1015am MAMILs - it's a bike riders fueling station. Dog friendly - clean full water bowls regularly checked - it's a dog owners haunt too. read more

This place makes me want to start drinking coffee. But their hot chocolate was amazing, as we're their paninis and beesting. Just yum. Staff were just so friendly and laid back. They took great care in making our drinks - getting truly absorbed in their art. It was a pleasure to watch. Taylor Blend provides my favourite coffee in Adelaide. This is not a bias opinion either, my first experience was when my friend convinced me to drive up and meet her. Wasn't I pleasantly surprised when I sipped my latte! Although it is situated slightly out of the way it is definitely worth the drive. There is little traffic and a park across the road, making the setting very relaxing. During the winter months baseball games are often played at the park, so if you're a baseball fan head up and sip on a coffee while you watch them play. Taylor Blend does not supply a large range of food. However, the foccaccias and many of the sweets are delicious. They even have macaroons! I have never been the only patron present at the coffee shop, but if you plan going there early on a Saturday or a Sunday morning be prepared to wait. The small shop is packed and you may have to wait for or share a table with the friendly customers. read more

In this part of Adelaide there is nothing else. Despite it being next to a park and in a bush area it's a shame it overlooks a busy road and has no plants etc on the balcony. The sign at reception proudly boasts cash only as its faster. The trouble is that is the mantra of this place. Unlike the new trend, there are no fresh squeezed juices and no breakfast or brunch menu even on weekends. In fairness they are only a coffee and cake place (but so are many places on Magill road yet they do more). The coffees are produced far quicker than I've seen elsewhere and both my 'flat whites' we're boiling hot and watery, one at least looked like a flat white with the brown crema but was produced too fast and was killed by being too watery and hot, the other was white and milky. If you're just going to have coffees they had better be good, but they're not! They had a huge queue but so does the service station coffee guy so go figure! The cake selection was good. The only food you can get is premade croissant with ham, rolls and Turkish bread etc. which you can have toasted. We had all of the above and they were quite ordinary. This place is busy as it has a captive market but it's run more like a tourist roadside stop. Definitely not cool or foodie. If you're in the area and just want a cake and a cappuccino or hot chocolate or one of those coffees with cream and chocolate then it's fine! read more

This place is a great weekend coffee spot and as a place to chill out when the weather is nice. Coffee is great and I recommend the melting moments and lemon curd cheesecake. People play baseball on the oval opposite, which is fun to sit out and watch.. otherwise grab a rug and just go over and hang out under one of the big gum trees. Seems to be a very dog friendly place, and you get a lot of people on their way home from a ride up Greenhill Road East, or from the walking trails around Mt. Lofty. Taylor Blend is a great little coffee shop. Joss and his mates blend and brew what I reckon is the best coffee in Adelaide, with a limited selection of quality pastries, cakes and snacks too. The interior is cosy and the outdoor areas have a great view of the Ferguson Conservation Park and the baseball pitch on Newland Reserve. Don't take the drive up to Stonyfell on a Tuesday... you'll find it's closed! read more

This is a great local coffee spot - given it's location one would think it would be a hidden gem - however it is known far and wide as an amazing place for coffee. However I think the hidden secret is that even for those of us who don't love coffee (I appreciate that statement might make me lose some credibility) they have other amazing drinks like the wonderful icy Peach Avalanche I enjoyed there on the weekend. I've dropped in to Taylor's a few times simply because of their location at the end of a long hills ride. The fact they don't have eftpos has been slightly annoying because I don't always have cash when riding but that's the start and end of annoyances. It's also worth mentioning that the attached store next door has a sign in their window asking for cyclists not to prop their bikes against it when they're closed - I'm not sure if that's an overflow of some business jealousy or minute marks on their glass that they need to clean now and then. The location is great and whilst a little crammed inside they do have plenty of undercover outdoor seating with great views which on a warm day is very welcoming. The boys are friendly and easy going. Their snacks/desserts are generally well crafted and delicious, baked strawberry cheesecake one of the best. Their coffee is generally very good and I guess if it wasn't I wouldn't be returning. They offer a variety of choices but I don't generally digress from my flat whites. My kids haven't been happy with their hot chocolates because they've never had marshmellows and because they use chocolate sauce as garnish...but my kids are harsh critics. Taylors gets a lot of business, possibly due to their location as well as quality products and service, and I'll certainly be returning. read more

This Eastern suburbs boutique coffee joint is the place to be in Stoneyfell. Whether you are a cyclist, mother, teenage girl, computer nerd or coffee enthusiast, there is something for you at Taylor Blend. The service is amazing, the coffee is made in literally seconds and the place works like a well oiled machine but doesn't seem forced. The baristas are extremely friendly, bubbly, knowledgeable and a little easy on the eye. As for the food, foccacias and croissants are the only lunch items, but most choose to accompany their coffee with a cake or 2. A wide variety of locally made cakes and dessert items are available, including macarons, gluten free cakes, fruit tarts, biscuits and muffins. Taylor Blend has a certain atmosphere about it, the customers are quite diverse, but are all there for the same reason-coffee! Some regulars come in 3 even 4 times a day. While others just lazily spend their weekends outside in the alfresco seating area. A great coffee shop away from the chains, has a definite Eastern suburbs feel to it and just one more thing- the prices are a little on the high side, but then again, it is Stoneyfell! read more

Taylor Blend is, together with Bracegirdle's, my favourite coffee place in Adelaide. Their cappuccino is truly amazing and I could definitely drink a couple of them. They also have a small selection of desserts, which all look absolutely fabulous. I've only tried their apple strudel so far and it was very tasty and not too sweet. A definite pro is their outside area and the surrounds. Located in leafy Stonyfell just opposite a park, it is very quiet and I could spend all afternoon sitting on their terrace. Staff are lovely and really friendly. Service is quick, they always have a good selection of magazines and newspapers and there is a toilet at the back (which is always an essential factor for me). Cool views out onto the baseball diamond across the road completed the Saturday afternoon coffee that we had here. We stumbled across this eastern suburbs gem after it got listed in the top ten coffee joints in Adelaide. It certainly didn't disappoint us. so been here a few times now, bit of a drive but nice setting, much nicer than most with a small patch of neighbouring bushland and the playing fields across the road. never found it crowded except when Jaim'e and co call in from Saints right next door. so a star for location. The coffee troubles me, as it looks good, fantastic big 4 group Synesso I think but it is but has never lived up to expectations. My regular double shot latte had that all too familiar overextracted flavour reminiscent of so many places. Especially from the Parade, and O'Connell st. I guessing it is that prevalent 7/14 meme, 7 grams for for single shot and 14 for a double. Just not enough people! Unless you take a smaller extract, the coffee will be weaker but without that tell tale bitterness. ooh poems are nine down, Ashes nearly ours!!! Every other decent coffee shop in town now gives people a buzzer so they can sit down and chat with their friends while their coffee is being made - . this coffee shop makes you stand in line until they have made everyone else's coffee in front of you and there is only one person making coffee. so you can end up standing in line for a very long time while your friends are sitting down having a great time. Not an enjoyable experience and really don't understand why the owner would ruin such a great place by not making it an enjoyable for their clients. Seems strange that other coffees shops have hooked onto it but not this one. No-one likes to stand in unnecessarily. Shame as they make great coffee and have some friendly staff and a nice outlook over the reserve. read more

I no longer enjoy Taylor Blend. They may make great coffee but they refuse to take our order until they have made the coffees for the people in front of the line. So we go there to meet a friend who is sitting on their own saving the table while we stand in a narrow corridor for sometimes up to 10 minutes and the staff are in the back room talking. They won't write the order down and let us sit down and make a phone call or talk with our friend. I vote for service. The experience could be so much better if they gave out buzzers so we could come back to the counter to collect our coffees when ready. It's a shame because it's my local and I really enjoy sitting there but have got to the stage where it's too annoying lining up like a teenager waiting to get into a nightclub. No other coffee shop does this. Everyone else writes the order down and lets' us sit down and socialise with the people we have arranged to meet. read more
