This is a gorgeous modern little gem situated on a main road in the eastern suburbs. The interior design is very trendy with a feature wall which shows brickwork under a half plastered wall. Something you don't see every day. And plus they've gone quite heavy on the yellow themed interior, which is my favourite colour. A downside is this place is another limited sized eatery with only a few tables inside. They don't take reservations, so if there is nothing available your best option is to wait. On the inside tables used as table sheets are brown rustic style paper along with a jar of pencils for the young ones to amuse themselves drawing all over the paper. What an idea! Looking around I could see it was certainly effective. My partner and I were waiting for some others to join us so we ordered a Smashed Avocado to share as our personal entrée. It was a beautiful simple dish mixed with Fetta and sesame seeds served on thin crusty rye bread. It didn't take me long to devour, but it amazing either way. For my main I had the smoked salmon with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and asparagus. It was simple yet effective in the sense it was satisfying. All the elements tasted quite fresh and nicely cooked and prepared. Once again didn't take long to disappear. This is a place I would certainly come again if I wanted a break from my weekend regular hot spots, or to take a friend somewhere new.

Great little spot Perfect coffee Great service Perfect eggs etc Great side of pumpkin The honey in muesli doesn't work (you end up with sweet milk) but otherwise it was a also good

Friendly attentive staff found me the last seat in the house during busy lunch hour, in the burb? Thursday lunch hour? They must b either from the near by SA government offices or travel afar or having the day off like me. Outside seatings are loose cushion on a milk crate n wooden crates as table, they serve the purpose. Small lunch menu but breakfast all day, so if you missed your eggs so desperately, plenty of choices. Salads, pea fritters and munooshi are the few choices and vegetarians are well catered for as I would say there r more vegetarian dishes than meat dishes. The bottle of water was promptly produced together with the menu, n asked if I would like a coffee while deciding, great service n upsell! My gourmet sujus munooshi didn't disappoint, with the oozing haloumi melting in between the fresh pizza bread was just great. The pizza base being folded over which makes eating with fingers easier n more sensible, that way the fillings are well tucked in. I couldn't resist but to try their white chocolate with berries brownie to finish, added scoop of ice cream would b an extra $2, I opted not to have the ice cream for the mere fact that I was feeling guilty as it was having the brownie! A very welcomed venue in this little strip of shops along Magill Road where there are a great choice of other eateries nearby. Well worth the visit. By the way, there are plenty of car parking at the rear, look out for the entrance, blink n u will miss it!

Sexy machine to extract the golden oil from the bean, wow! they do it really really well And good range of milk types

Snot Chocolates, Huntsmans and Scoopalespressos sound like things you would find in Willy Wonka's…read moreChocolate Factory, but Taylor Blend Espresso is a far cry from Wonka's crazy antics and more like a hidden wonderland of coffee and "exotic drinks." Those cheeky Stoneyfellians have been hiding this place from the general public for years and I can see why. This place, despite being of simple fit out and design really has an element of shock and awe to it as you are constantly giggling to yourself about some quirky detail in the place. For example, I swear these guys are telepathic... my soy latte arrived in my hands before I even ordered. I hadn't even paid for my coffee yet and it was sitting in front of me! Not only that but this place caters for the child inside everyone... - Snot Chocolate = Hot Chocolate with yellow and green marshmallows on top (get the picture) - Gelarossa = Frozen Blood Orange juice with lemon gelati - Huntsman = A hyped up version of a "spider" Furthermore their exotic drinks are worth a try just for something different. Although you really aren't being that exotic but having an iced coffee with some chocolate on top (Chino Ghiacciato) you still feel slightly naughty by ordering it. So why the 4 stars, you're raving Chloe, you're raving! I know... I really have to try this place again to be sure but I had a low fat lemon cheese cake that wasn't to die for (it wasn't lemony but more sugary) and I am a bit of a lemon dessert connoisseur!

Being fortunate enough to live only a couple of streets away, it's become one of my favourite spots out of both convenience and their great coffee. The breakfast/lunch menu is limited to croissants, focaccias and the like; however the desert cabinet is very appetizing, especially the wide selection of macarons in all of their colourful glory. Service is always super quick; I can't think of any instance where I've waited any longer than a minute for my coffee. They also have a selection of coffee/espresso accessories for sale for those of you that take the spirit of the barista home with you. The shop is dog-friendly and has water dishes for your canine counterparts whilst you sip your coffee. With Newland Reserve directly across the road, it's an ideal spot to wind down after taking your dog for a run or spending a day out with the family soaking up the sunshine. J ust keep in mind that being situated in the eastern suburbs means you're probably going to be in the vicinity of a few pretentious housewives now and then, with their dolled-up Chihuahuas included.

Taylor Blend Espresso - Reluctant to say this about a favourite, but $6 for the ice chocolate seemed a bit steep.

A new cafe in an old corner grocery store has breathed life back into a sad little shop…read more We went there for a Friday morning coffee (opens at 830) and 3 hours later we were still there after our 2nd cups/pots of tea that pour seemingly endless cups (ok..maybe 3). It's advertised as a cooking school, cafe and "stuff" venue, and is starting slowly with openings just Mon - Friday until 4pm, but they have events coming up, and have various cooking opportunites, including classes for kids - so keep up to date on https://www.facebook.com/FiveLittleFigs. The breakfasts that were served looked generous and delicious, and they have gluten, wheat and vegan food on offer and it looks fresh and sumptuous...next time! They cater to children, so if you're worried about young people playing (and crying) - don't come! I see this as a refuge for parents who want to meet their friends while their kids can draw on the chalk board or have something to eat at their own table. Support a new local, or pop out of your way for a quirky, delicious cafe.

She greeted us personally and gave us a warm welcome. I love the menus! What a novel idea to have them made out of little children's books. Read a little story while waiting - why not? Or just dwell in the reverie that such an item evokes. The atmosphere is fun and friendly with quirky and lovely decor that has been well described in other reviews. Suffice it to say that there is much to look at, enjoy and also purchase. The food was delicious! I love an all day breakfast option and am particularly impressed with the varied bread and non-bread options. e.g. I had a breakfast dish, called 'smashed' which was served on sweetcorn fitters. Delicious non-bread accompaniment to eggs and salmon. My dining companions ordered the pumpkin burger and apparently that was scrumptious. Really healthy too. It looked amazing. Michelle's attention to detail, atmosphere, quality and presentation of food and ability to create warm feelings and fun, make this a great place to come (they also have cooking classes for children and various other activities you can keep abreast of on Facebook).

Needless to say it has haunted my dreams since, so today after a hard workout my husband and I biked over for lunch. The first thing that strikes you while approaching from Kitchener Street is the lush, inviting covered wrap around porch; there is plentiful and adequately spaced tables located here (so as not to be forced to overhear unwanted convos). Next, upon entering this clean and tidy cottage you will notice three separate distinct seating areas: the main dining area, a smaller dining area tucked away by the kitchen and pastry counter, and a delightful and welcoming covered deck. We were promptly greeted by one of the friendly staff and seated straight away. Tap water, glasses, and menus were waiting at the table and after an appropriate amount of time our order was taken and special requests confirmed. This place is really busy but it seems well managed; the staff is very attentive without being intrusive. As we waited for our order we noticed the bustling and efficient staff who worked like a well oiled machine - dirty dishes were quickly removed from tables, additional carafes of tap water were dropped off without being asked for, and patrons seemed relaxed, very happy, and satisfied. By meals' end we, too, were among those happy people. My husband ordered a sandwich that I struggle to recall the name ;( it was a hearty sandwich made from perfectly toasted sourdough, grilled chicken breast meat, swiss cheese, garlic aioli, a mix of tender and flavourful greens, and crispy bacon. I ordered the smashed avocado with feta on the same delightfully prepared sourdough. It, too, came with a generous portion of greens. We could not be happier with our newfound neighbourhood brekkie place. AND there is a coffee loyalty card to boot!
