This restaurant was recommended to us so we wanted to try it. We were seated immediately. The chips were very good and the sauce was warm. Since it's the Christmas's season I chose the wonderland martini which was sweet like I like my cocktails. The lunch menu was great with good prices. My chimichanga was delicious. It came with rice, beans, guacamole, and a salad. The guacamole was very flavorful. Our server seemed stressed and perhaps had too many tables. This place spent way too much time trying to create an influencers paradise with the decor and not enough time talking about training servers on how to actually work at a restaurant. We sat outside, which was nice the patio was large and covered. The table next to us was a large group who was already feelin it by the time we arrived, but that's not the restaurants fault so the review isn't 2 stars because other patrons were loud/drunk. I didn't take pics inside, but it was fake flower wall/neon sign/LA vibes. My Dad, finance and I all ordered a drink, got them margaritas were good. Then we ordered mains and waited about 15 mins when the waitress brought 2 entrees and then told us the 3rd entre was sold out or something, like they didn't have the ingredients for the dish and couldn't make it. What!? We've been waiting here for food - why didn't you tell us sooner? She then was like, "do you want to see the menu again?" Umm WTF is she thinking, like one of us just won't eat and will cook at home? So then she WAITS like does not bring a menu, after waiting nearly 10 mins we just asked another passing waitress as nobody would make eye contact with us despite us waiting arms and trying to get attention. At this point, we had to start sharing the 2 entrees bc they were getting cold. We asked the waitress who came back after 10 mins to talk to the manager - she then turned around (THE MGR WAS RIGHT THERE) and they were whispering and then she turned back around and said, "he can't talk to you, he doesn't speak English." To that, my fiance was like, oh that's fine we can happily converse in Spanish. We weren't even asking in a mad tone, it was a genuine request. We didn't want to go full Karen on the dude, we just wanted to discuss our experience as this was an opportunity for improvement since they are a new restaurant. Anyway, dude comes out wearing the tightest jeans I've ever seen on a dude, speaks spanish and we tell him the situation. But also, the waitress came too and stood next to him listening, what!? If we ask you nicely to get your mgr we aren't asking for you to stand there, but whatever. It was all so awkward. So after he explains the situation the guys looks at him and says "so does she want to order something or not?" And he's like "YES, we literally just got the menu and our mains are basically finished, but yes we'd like to order a chicken taco salad." The dude says he's discount the taco salad and leaves. The bill came and they gave us a $3 DISCOUNT! $3! I was kind of waiting for the camera crew and Aston Kutcher to come out because of this experience, but they were dead serious. It's hard when this spot had such a great restaruant and it was replaced by bozos who maybe have never eaten at a restaurant. Shrimp a la Diabla - medium heat, good flavor. Taco bowl - (ordered bc I thought it would be quick) was a typical 2:5 Carne Asada - way too many onions, good flavor. 4:5 There was more to complain about but I think you get the point - we couldn't get an extra plate (to share the 2 entrees) so we were trying to stack things in the chip basket to accommodate, and staff kept trying to take things despite us asking for more plates. We asked everyone for an extra plate and to this day we did not get an extra plate lol. read more

Beware of the parking across the street, they will TOW! There is parallel parking and a free lot that is a little bit of a further walk. Beside someone in my family getting towed, we had a good time. This place isn't equipped with huge parties so anything over 4 people I would think twice about it. The food that I had was amazing. I had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. I had a lemon drop shot with long island ice tea. The service was slow but they only had one waiter for 28 people. She was also pregnant, so she definitely deserves a raise. The beef fajitas were great! Very tender and flavorful! Our waitress was very sweet and good too. Her name was abbreviated on the receipt as Kary. I wish I remembered what her full first name was. They present your bill to you on their little ordering machine, but if you are on separate checks, they don't show your bill details with tax and gratuity they already added on. I was with a larger party and there was an automatic 15% added on the server didn't mention nor could she show me my bill with subtotal, tax, gratuity, and final total. I asked for a printout of my bill only and she rolled her eyes. She rolled her eyes probably because she was trying to scam me to tip on top of the bill that already had a tip. It wasn't crazy busy for us to have to wait as long as we did for our server to get back to us throughout the night. Amazing service, GORGEOUS place, delicious food and fair prices. What more could you ask for? I walked in here after being rudely kicked out of Bangkok Royal for having 7 people. I came here and asked if they had room for 7 and had any vegetarian items. The two people at the front were very helpful when I was kind of frazzled, and seemed enthusiastic that they could accommodate us. I came back with my entire party and we had a great time! Our server was wonderful and the food was great. I would absolutely come here again and recommend it to anyone in Waco. I really appreciated how nice they were after the people in the Thai place next door made me feel like I was found something wrong just for being there. They really turned our night around. We were seated right away and our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was very flavorful. Beef chicharron with guacamole appetizer was really good. Camerones ala Diabla was good. However, the shrimp were a little overcooked and there was no spiciness at all. Quesabirria was good. The cilantro rice and the Spanish rice were both very good. Didn't order cocktails. The main downside to this place is the loud music with heavy bass. We probably will not go back because of that. First of all, there is absolutely nothing negative I have to say at all. When my father and I walked in we were greeted right away and sat down instantly. The waitress we had was phenomenal, very friendly and personable. Our apps were out in less than 3 minutes, and when we ordered the main dinner it was out in less than 10 minutes. Very quick!! The server told me that they're under new management and that they're trying to get their reviews better, which I think is well deserved. I ate here for the first time on a very busy Sunday night and was fully surprised with timely seating and perfect service. The employees were all kind and helpful, and our waitress was as sweet as could be. The food was so delicious and VERY reasonably priced considering how large the portions are AND how fancy this restaurant seems. The atmosphere is a bit on the loud sound when the place is full, but was very beautiful considering what the location used to be (basically a "fast" food Tex-Mex spot). Indoor AND outdoor seating! Newer spot in Waco that's in a great spot downtown. Ambiance is pretty cool with a nice vibe. It wasn't very busy at all when we visited, although the bar was pretty packed. We had to wait a few minutes for a hostess to show up to the stand, an employee who was bussing tables ending up seating us. Service was not very good at all, our waitress was not able to answer any questions we had about the menu, took almost 35 minutes to bring us our drinks, and right at 46 minutes to get our check. We actually had to track down another random waitress to get our check. Because of this we skipped another round of drinks and dessert. The seating in here was definitely awkward, they seated us right next to their photo op couch, so people kept coming over and asking us to move so they could take a picture. It was very uncomfortable because once we finally got our food, we no longer moved for photos. Those tables are far too close to the photo area if they want to encourage people to take pics. Very bizarre. Food was okay, the best was the grilled street corn. The chorizo bean dip and queso were very underwhelming. We ordered margaritas and they were pretty good, but it took nearly 35 minutes to even get our drinks. The quesa-birria was fine, not a lot of flavor, and the food came out almost room temp, not warm at all. My husband ordered the Rib-eye Con Tuetano and it was also fine. The ribeye itself was very tender but again, lacked any sort of flavor. It tasted like something you'd get at a backyard grill party. Overall we were disappointed as this was our first time visiting, but we'll definitely be trying them again to see if we have a better experience. read more

We both had carne asada, and thought the entire meal was delicious and generous, especially for the $16 meal price. Second experience here was like the first. I've never watched my margarita sit for 10 minutes while it waters down with ice wondering where my waitress went for the last 15 minutes. The place wasn't busy. The food is good if you are ok with large amounts of time where you get zero service. I eventually grabbed my margarita myself and that created a good amount of issues with the staff but the lack of service didn't seem like it was bothering the staff. In a city with 50 Mexican restaurants, you probably can get better service and food elsewhere. read more

I would have to say this is some of the absolute best Mexican food I've ever had. Starting with the made from scratch tortilla chips served hot with two awesome salsas to fajitas perfectly seasoned and served with fresh hot corn tortillas and a real salad of fresh greens, tomatoes and sliced radishes drizzled with a delicious vinaigrette, everything was a delight.
