I've been coming to this winery for years now and always receive excellent service. Our favorite thing to do is to each get a mimosa flight, though I will say that the mimosa offerings have been a bit less than inspired over the last 2 years or so. Back in the day, they had some really interesting ones. My mom and i had a blood orange and thyme mimosa one year that we still talk about, along with a caramelized pear. This year however, the juice selection tasted like juice mix or at least something overly sweet and bottled -- I think the flavors were passion, orange, mango, and guava, so while they tasted all right, it wasn't exactly the experience we have looked forward to in the past. We shared a goat cheese sampler that was covered in some fresh, tasty fruit. My mom doesn't really like goat cheese, but we both thoroughly enjoyed the snacks. Overall, I always love visiting this winery, though I think the mimosas could be a bit more inventive/higher quality for how good their wine is.

There is also a good-sized seating area inside - and you're able to see the other vintage/varietals available for purchase. Wines by the glass are available, but not for everything, and only for bottles they have already opened. I wanted to try their Sangiovese, but they weren't pouring it, and bummer they didn't have one open to taste - I would have loved to try it. I recommend (based upon my palate) the Abbot's Table and the Sinister Hand (fun background story as well). I didn't care for the rose - it was sweeter than I prefer. Regardless, come visit and you're bound to find something to suit your taste. So why 4-stars? I just have high expectations of servers when I'm tasting wine, and I didn't get the feeling that ours knew the product well, so I didn't feel like I would get much education (which is part of why I, myself, enjoy wine tasting - to learn something new).

I was even invited to see the actual wine production , which felt incredibly special. Under their guidance, I got to apply foil and pack my very first bottle of wine. We tasted a wide variety of wines, had lovely conversations, and even took walks together -- it truly felt like visiting family. The place itself feels like a little piece of California. Coming from rainy Bellevue, it was such a refreshing change. The tasting room is beautifully situated in the middle of the vineyards, offering a unique opportunity to see, feel, and experience how the grapes are grown. There aren't enough kind or heartfelt words to fully describe how wonderful this experience was. I highly recommend visiting this place. P.S.
