Hyatt Vineyards Riesling 2016 Rattlesnake Hills crisp with a slightly sweet finish
Pam S.

I am most happy to report that you can now purchase this beautiful wine into California. In fact on a recent trip to Seattle I bought half a case of my beloved Riesling but they mentioned, while I was on the phone, that they are now shipping to California. That have a variety of whites, reds and blends and the person who assisted me over the phone was quite helpful. So for any of you that are looking for a complimentary white wine that you can keep on stand-by for those evenings with something spicy or just to grab going over to a friends... I recommend taking a look at their selection. Respectfully Reviewed

Thank you Hyatt Vineyards for such a fantastic visit on Saturday. The girls who work here love their job and no wonder - it's a family business. The variety of wine is excellent. Their property is stunning and they allow horseback riding through the vineyards. I wish I took pics but I'll be back and add them to my review. I do not usually like Malbec but Tessa insisted we try it and it was exceptional. We purchased a case and a few bottles. Put Hyatt on your wine tour list of Zillah.

I am really surprised that this winery doesn't have higher ratings. I had a hard time finding any of the wines I tasted that I DIDN'T like. My favorite thought was their Pinot Gris and their 09 Syrah. I got a bottle of each. We got here just in time before a larger crowd came through and I think the amount of people in the tasting room may have overwhelmed the staff a little bit. This is a great place for a picnic, they have beautiful grounds area and picnic tables in some shade. I would definitely recommend coming here and trying the wine. I have to agree that the customer service isn't the best experience but I would hope people could look past that and just come what they came for - the wine. I think first impressions are key and this place definitely could use some improvements in that department.

Great new additions and the wine is awesome! Kat the tasting room manager is a joy. The old windmill is beautiful and the view is stunning.

Great experience. Wonderful service from Gabby. Love their wines…read more Very slow afternoon at the tasting room. Quiet out at the patio. Enjoyed all of the wines in the list and a couple bonus wines. Thank you.

I am genuinely embarrassed that I brought my team here…read more I made a reservation. They knew ahead of time that I was bringing my team for a meeting. We showed up, ordered wine and pizzas, and planned to enjoy the winery while we met. Within about five minutes of arriving, I was approached twice about parking because they had "customers coming." Except... we WERE customers. There was also a reservation for a group of 18 that day. That group arrived on bicycles, which were not parked in the parking lot. And throughout our approximately three-hour visit, multiple tables remained empty. Our photographer had already spent probably 15 minutes talking with staff before we arrived and was waved in and directed where to go. Nobody told him that he needed to park somewhere else. Then suddenly, once the rest of us arrived, moving vehicles became incredibly urgent. That pretty much set the tone for the entire experience. Then there was the wine. Five fruit flies poured out of one of our bottles of wine into the glass. We brought it to their attention. The response was, "Would you like a new glass?" A new glass. My husband did raise concerns about the way we were being treated. When other customers arrived, I specifically quieted that conversation because I did not want our experience to interfere with theirs. So I was particularly surprised when management later accused my husband of yelling at a staff member in front of guests. That absolutely did not happen, and I was there. We stayed approximately three hours and spent money, although by that point I honestly ordered food partly because I felt obligated to. I already wanted to leave. I was embarrassed that I had chosen this place for my team because I did not feel like we were wanted there. And here's the part that makes the whole thing especially unfortunate from a business standpoint: eight people in our group are business owners. Four own multiple businesses and were specifically exploring this winery as somewhere they might return to in the future. Not because we deserved special treatment. We didn't. But we absolutely expected to be treated like customers. Unfortunately, the response from management afterward made the experience worse. I was told that what we had wasn't a "reservation," it was a "three-hour meeting." Yes. It was a meeting. They knew it was a meeting when I made the reservation. If meetings aren't welcome, say that when someone tells you they're bringing a group for a meeting. If there's a time limit, say that. If there are specific parking requirements, say that. None of those things were communicated to me beforehand. I love supporting local businesses. I especially love introducing other people to local businesses I enjoy. Unfortunately, I won't be introducing anyone else to this one, because I won't be back.

I also learned so much about fruit, when its the best time to get it in the stores and/or from a fruit stand- their knowledge was amazing. This farm has been operating and serving communities in Seattle WA since the 80's, that tells you a lot about a business. Wow The couple who own this place are just the best and their personally brings the best vibes in this place. We went for my besties birthday and then I came back for my birthday and it was AMAZING. OH, and then we went to Spring Barrel, and they blew the whole experience out of the water. They had Zac, who is not only cute/single, and brings his own set up, his voice is amazing. The whole crowd was pleasant, happy, and ready to party!! (Far from it, but kind of...for Zillah). Not only did they have the cutest outdoor seating, but they also have this deck that sits right where the sun goes down, in the Spring time. As many of you know, the summer time in the Yakima and Seattle are longer than many other states and cities. The sun doesn't go down until about 9:00pmishhhhh, which is nice for hanging out. So the grapes are different and the fruit, and the people too. They have a delicious variety of wine, wine tasting, and bottles to purchase, if you're looking to wine taste, add this one to your stops, you will thank me on Yelp later. Have a great time, and tell them Daisha sent you!!!

I was even invited to see the actual wine production , which felt incredibly special. Under their guidance, I got to apply foil and pack my very first bottle of wine. We tasted a wide variety of wines, had lovely conversations, and even took walks together -- it truly felt like visiting family. The place itself feels like a little piece of California. Coming from rainy Bellevue, it was such a refreshing change. The tasting room is beautifully situated in the middle of the vineyards, offering a unique opportunity to see, feel, and experience how the grapes are grown. There aren't enough kind or heartfelt words to fully describe how wonderful this experience was. I highly recommend visiting this place. P.S. If you're lucky, try to reserve the charming cottage owned by the same family. The sunny terrace with views of the vineyard and Mount Rainier is absolutely stunning
