I visited in April 2026, the day before Easter. Even though I arrived after closing hours (around 4 PM), Denise and George kindly welcomed me and went above and beyond to organize an amazing wine tasting . I was even invited to see the actual wine production , which felt incredibly special. Under their guidance, I got to apply foil and pack my very first bottle of wine. We tasted a wide variety of wines, had lovely conversations, and even took walks together -- it truly felt like visiting family. The place itself feels like a little piece of California. Coming from rainy Bellevue, it was such a refreshing change. The tasting room is beautifully situated in the middle of the vineyards, offering a unique opportunity to see, feel, and experience how the grapes are grown. There aren't enough kind or heartfelt words to fully describe how wonderful this experience was. I highly recommend visiting this place. P.S. If you're lucky, try to reserve the charming cottage owned by the same family. The sunny terrace with views of the vineyard and Mount Rainier is absolutely stunning read more

This place was suggested by another winery and I was promised that the place was amazing. This winery did not disappoint. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous with a great outdoor patio to sample wines as well as an indoor tasting room. The staff was so friendly and attentive, which made this place inviting. I could have spent the day here sampling wine and enjoying the view. There are concerts at the vineyard during the year There are a couple bonus items here such as the Tin Roof restaurant which serves up delicious food to go with the wine and a beautiful cottage that can be rented for a romantic weekend at the winery. This is my favorite winery in Zillah and I place on coming back spending more time or even a weekend here. read more

Vanarnum is Vabulous ~ neighborly welcoming, unpretentious service. Like your visiting your friend's home. This set everything to be tasty from the start! Tin Roof Grill ~ one of the few vineyards that has more to offer to eat than just something prepackaged. Homemade sandwiches were perfect on this sunny day. Vanarnum Volcanoes ~ as far as the eye can see with views of Ranier & Adams. An outdoor patio to chill & sip while the pup runs around the large well-manicured landscaping. Enjoyed their Cabernet Sauvignon ;) read more

This tasting room was a joy to visit. There were only 2 other people there when we arrived so we had an opportunity to talk to the winemaker, learning of his journey to winemaking. Such a wonderful young man who is very passionate about his creativity in his process. We tasted some wonderful red wines including some very recently bottled that we were very impressed with. The tasting room is on a smaller scale comparatively, but there is an outdoor patio for use in the warmer weather. There are music events in the summer months as well as a house on the property available for overnight stays. There was no food available when we went in January, but unsure about seasonal availability. Very impressed with this enthusiastic young winemaker. It was a joyful experience. read more

Great tasting room and outdoor area! We stayed as Harvest Hosts with our RV. When we tasted wine, Branden the owner served us. Hearing his story of working there and then buying the place with his Dad was inspiring. His wife was working at the tasting room too. We decided to join the wine club to support this young couple with their dream. The wine is very good. read more

Wonderful service, fabulous bites, wine and views!! Everything we have tried is amazing and brings us back for more!! You also have to check out the on site cottage. It's a perfect getaway spot in wine country. We toured it yesterday and have already considered renting it even though we live just down the road. read more

Had a wonderful weekend at this winery. 102 degrees outside but the ice cold wine and beer kept me cool. Watch a pretty cool band. Overall this place is wonderful experience. If you like wonderful views, good people and lots of tasty drinks. This is the place for you. I will be back soon. read more

We were referred here by the other "2" local wineries since we were getting hungry & not all members of our group were wine drinkers or of age. The "Tin Roof Grill" area was gorgeous & had plenty of seating. Our food & drink order was taken quickly. It didn't take too long before our food was presented & what a presentation it was. Everything we selected had great flavor & very shareable. We ended up doing a tasting but didn't leave with anything but fully bellies and that if we are ever in the area & want a wonderful view & light/refreshing nourishment, we will come back here...You should too read more

Location, location, location. We've discovered that VanArnam Vineyards is the perfect place to stop for lunch when we travel from the Portland metro area to locations up north, like Leavenworth, WA. So, forget boring I-5. Choose the gorge! Supercharging was so easy! One stop in The Dalles where we got coffee at Starbucks, then a quick charge in Yakima got us to Leavenworth with ease. Tin Roof Grill had gluten free and dairy free options for me - more than enough on my platter! The rest of the gang chose the corned beef panini. As we were leaving we told the chef it was delicious. Then our friend said, "It was more than delicious; It was very good!" We joked about that all weekend. VanArnam wines are all "very good"! They had nonalcoholic options for the designated driver too. We hope to someday stay in their little cottage. We'll be back! read more

These folks are absolutely amazing. We came mid-week for a private tasting. Their wines are very reasonably priced and taste great. The reserves are awesome, so full bodied and flavorful. They let us come into the production room and punch down the bins with the pressed grapes. Brandon, the winemaker is super nice and very knowledgeable and explained things very well. read more

5 stars on Google brought us here and I'm telling you it should be 5 stars on Yelp too!! Amazing, delicious wine, very high quality. You will not be disappointed! Allison and Kent are so hospitable and Noel our server was just incredible. Turns out she does some of the cooking too and her bruschetta was To Die For. What a beautiful setting and to visit a winery that had a complete food selection and delicious wine, you don't need to go anywhere else! Absolutely delightful!! read more

I enjoyed the wine but when I went to order food a large tour bus had just started to enter the tasting room. Despite the fact this group was spending time in the tasting room before going to get food, the kitchen told me I would have to wait 20-30min if I wanted tacos. They don't heat the corn tortillas, it comes with a premade corn salad, so all they have to do is heat the meat. They told everyone in line to order they had to make food for the tour bus first and wouldn't be able to make their food till after. If they know when the group arrives why wouldn't they prep for it? They had no other orders so it seemed silly. I told them no thanks and another patron gave me one of their tacos since they saw the interaction. Just okay tacos. read more

Organized confusion at Spring Barrel tasting, food court selling items that they are out of. Waiting 30 minutes for 2 tacos, people at the bar "tasting " that are posted up, 6 across with 6 people deep behind, unbelievable, went be back. Two years in a row, organized chaos. read more

This is a nice Classy establishment but I can't say it had the overwhelming wow factor I was looking for. It was nice service nonetheless "River" their dog is very friendly. The wines are a bit pricey for the quality. I wouldn't suggest anything after the first tastings. River Red was my favorite personally. The scenery was great and I hear their entertainment is exquisite. I would think I just came by during the wrong time of year. Allison is nice to talk to but isn't very attentive once the crowd gets heavier. read more

Reflection Vineyards was my girlfriend and my favorite stop on our last wine tasting tour of Yakima Valley, so it was the first place we went on this year's wine tasting trip to Zillah. Upon arrival, we were surprised to see that the winery is now called VanArnam Vineyards and can be found at the link: https://www.yelp.com/biz/vanarnam-vineyards-zillah While we liked the old name better, the wines are as good as before and absolutely worth checking out. read more

This place is amazing! I got engaged here the day after Thanksgiving, and before the engagement, I wanted to set up something special at VanArnam Winery. I contacted the owners Kent and Allison, and they really blew me away with how excited and accommodating they were about the entire situation. They were able to set up a private room with food for my family and in laws in their winery, and planned a private visit to their barrel room for myself and my fiance, followed by the surprise proposal outside on their beautiful grounds. It was a truly special and memorable moment and I can't imagine it going better, and Kent and Allison were a huge reason it ran so smoothly. I'm so grateful for them. Additionally, their wine is very good, and our group bought out a lot of the extra souvenir' s they offer such as wonderful smelling candles. I'll be going back to this winery the next time I'm in Yakima, and if you're visiting you have to go because this place and its people are so amazing. read more

Our second visit here was utterly disappointing. When we walked into the tasting room, there was a small group being served, and all the attention went to them. We were treated as an afterthought and felt embarrassingly neglected. They'd pour the sample, and then walk back to the group without giving any education to us on what they served. We dropped the $10 tasting fee on the counter and left before the tasting flight was done. Really unfortunate that good wine was ruined with bad service. read more

Wines are interesting, challenging, yummy. The Malbec gets your attention. The Chardonnay is wonderfully dry and unoaked. Only halfway through the tasting flight and a big fan. read more

Terrible customer service and it was with the owner. She acted as if she would rather be anywhere but there. Didn't thank us for coming in, didn't educate us about the vineyard/wines, took her time during the tasting, to the point of ignoring us, while she was busy texting and trimming paper! Definitely won't be returning or recommending this place. read more

Lovely place to sit back & chill with a glass of wine. Beautiful & serine view of Mt Adams. If you've never been, you must go. If you've been, you must go back. They cater weddings also. And a freshly built BnB. read more

VanArman was the second stop on our Central Washington winery tour, as we were lured by the free tasting with check-in on Yelp. What an experience! We were greeted by Allison - one of the owners and winemakers - and she served us our tastings on the patio before giving us a tour of the barrel room and explaining their plans for expansion. The wine is EXCELLENT, and the experience was made extra special by Allison's stories about how she and her husband decided to start a winery. Their wine club is very reasonably priced, so I plan to gift my East Coast parents some of VanArman's Washington wine this year. :) read more

This winery location is beautiful. The lady working seemed very stressed out though. Non the less, the tasting was nice. The views were beautiful. You can see Mt Adams and the tip of Rainier and there is nice outdoor seating. There wines were ok. Little pricey but nothing hit the pallet and said wow! Not a customer but the experience was nice. Id go back to drink wine with that view! read more

Wine was good but the service wasn't! There was only one person working on a Saturday (owners wife I believe?) and she was all over the place. She seemed friendly and attentive to everyone but us. Mixed up our tasting order and kept carelessly spilling. Will not be returning. read more

We have been coming here for years now. The owners are great people and seen to be invested in making the venue better. We have seen a lot of improvements over the years and within the last year adding the patio area this place just keeps getting better. The wines are priced well, middle of the road. As a local, I am very particular about where I spend my time and money. The red wines are truly wonderful, and so is the tasting room experience. We go there every time we go to the Yakima and Zillah areas.

I love all of the wines from VanArnam Winery. Depending on my mood, I have 2 favorites. My go to is the Malbec. It's slightly heavier than a Pinot, but still has the smooth, not too sweet flavor. I love the Reserve for special occasions. It has a bit of spice and a crisp flavor. I can't wait to visit the winery so I can try new wines experience them in their setting. read more
