Great experience. Wonderful service from Gabby. Love their wines. Very slow afternoon at the tasting room. Quiet out at the patio. Enjoyed all of the wines in the list and a couple bonus wines. Thank you. read more

I am genuinely embarrassed that I brought my team here. I made a reservation. They knew ahead of time that I was bringing my team for a meeting. We showed up, ordered wine and pizzas, and planned to enjoy the winery while we met. Within about five minutes of arriving, I was approached twice about parking because they had "customers coming." Except... we WERE customers. There was also a reservation for a group of 18 that day. That group arrived on bicycles, which were not parked in the parking lot. And throughout our approximately three-hour visit, multiple tables remained empty. Our photographer had already spent probably 15 minutes talking with staff before we arrived and was waved in and directed where to go. Nobody told him that he needed to park somewhere else. Then suddenly, once the rest of us arrived, moving vehicles became incredibly urgent. That pretty much set the tone for the entire experience. Then there was the wine. Five fruit flies poured out of one of our bottles of wine into the glass. We brought it to their attention. The response was, "Would you like a new glass?" A new glass. My husband did raise concerns about the way we were being treated. When other customers arrived, I specifically quieted that conversation because I did not want our experience to interfere with theirs. So I was particularly surprised when management later accused my husband of yelling at a staff member in front of guests. That absolutely did not happen, and I was there. We stayed approximately three hours and spent money, although by that point I honestly ordered food partly because I felt obligated to. I already wanted to leave. I was embarrassed that I had chosen this place for my team because I did not feel like we were wanted there. And here's the part that makes the whole thing especially unfortunate from a business standpoint: eight people in our group are business owners. Four own multiple businesses and were specifically exploring this winery as somewhere they might return to in the future. Not because we deserved special treatment. We didn't. But we absolutely expected to be treated like customers. Unfortunately, the response from management afterward made the experience worse. I was told that what we had wasn't a "reservation," it was a "three-hour meeting." Yes. It was a meeting. They knew it was a meeting when I made the reservation. If meetings aren't welcome, say that when someone tells you they're bringing a group for a meeting. If there's a time limit, say that. If there are specific parking requirements, say that. None of those things were communicated to me beforehand. I love supporting local businesses. I especially love introducing other people to local businesses I enjoy. Unfortunately, I won't be introducing anyone else to this one, because I won't be back. read more

Sheridan is one of my favorite Washington wine makers. Great age-able reds. We had white wines as well during this trip which were gorgeous. They took care of us and let us explore beyond the set flights. The garden was beautiful despite the less than ideal weather. read more

Gorgeous backyard garden, beautiful tasting room inside. Spacious outdoor roofed seating or sit casually out in the lawn of the garden. Drawback ~ not much for food besides a simple cheese plate. Would say this was more of a local jem, not as well known to out-of-towners. Enjoyed their Cabernet Sauvignon ;) read more

Outstanding wines and service. I stopped here with friends on the recommendation of a few other vineyards and we were not disappointed. These wines were by far the best of our trip (my second trip to Yakima). Andrew was very knowledgable and passionate about the wines. He provided outstanding service and explanations of each wine. He clearly knew his stuff. The tasting fee for 5 wines is $15, but you can add two premium tastings for a total of $20. One tasting fee is waived with a $100 purchase. Their cheapest wine starts at $30, the fee is easy to waive if you fall in love with the wines as easily as I did. The charcuterie was also the best we had out of any other vineyard. Well worth the $20. The ambiance - both indoors and out - makes for a great wedding venue. read more

We did it! We joined the wine club. That's how good it was. Even my husband enjoyed the reds and he's not a wine drinker. Even though they don't have a view of the valley, the grounds are beautiful. We're looking forward to many more tastings here & bottles for our cellar. read more

Amazing pies!!! Yesterday, we tried the Korean BBQ pizza with brisket. A couple of weeks ago, we got our fave the BLT pie, it has the best homemade tomato jam. Be sure to visit Big John on a Saturday for these delicious pies. read more

Just a quick update. We took the plunge last summer and joined the wine club. Of the four clubs we belong to, Sheridan is right up there with Cultura in terms of the wine and the people behind the operation. There are several reasons why I think Sheridan's club is one of the better ones to join. First, the discount on wine for club members is substantial - currently it is 25% off. That is a steep discount for a 10 bottle commitment. This puts their entry level wines like the Mystique and Cab at $22.50 per bottle, which represents a high value for the quality of these wines. Second, the club events are very well put on. The fall pickup party had a great spread of excellent food, including some of Big John's steak. The wine flowed and there was no issue having an extra taste or two of something. Third, their higher tier wines (L'Orage, Block One, Singularity, etc) rate well for a reason. Sit on them for a few years or decant them a few hours ahead of time and let them open up - they need a bit of air when they are young. A small amount of patience will bring a big smile to your face. Finally - the service is among the best of any wine club we're members of. Jenny responds to emails very quickly and the rest of the tasting room staff is very friendly and engaging. Overall - this is one of Zillah's stars and just a no brainer to visit if you like red wine. Pair it with a visit to Cultura down the road and you're all set. read more

What a delightful experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The wines were delicious. The grounds are filled with trees and flowers that makes a great setting on a hot summer day. We will definitely add this winery to our list of favorites. read more

Sheridan Wine. Yes. Yes. And yes! Delicious to drink. Lovely grounds. Wonderful service from Jenny and Stuart. So good joined the club.

I love Sheridan Vineyards, the wine and the space/people. My family are wine club members and enjoy our visits to taste and stock up on wines. My current favorites are the L'orage, Mystique and Syrah. Jenny who works there is so friendly and personable. The club member seating is a great spot to sit and chat and enjoy the views. read more

Scott and Karen Greer are (and have been for a long time) making some great Washington Wine. They are also fantastic people; very open and easy to talk with and eager to tell you about their wines. Scott has also dipped his toe into the Napa Valley with his Napa Cabernet which is fantastic. (More of that please Scott). Sheridan is our most prolific wine in our cellar;. We get a lot of it and have been since the early 2000's. It is consistently great and I appreciate that consistency in a winery. My favorites are Block 1, Singularity, the aforementioned Napa Cab and the Reserve Cab. I will also always have a spot in my heart for L'Orage as it was the wine that hooked me into Sheridan forever. If you don't have Sheridan in your collection yet, start with a L'Orage as I did over a decade ago and build from there. You won't be disappointed. read more

I hate to say it but Sheridan Vineyards didn't do much for me. The grounds and the view were beautiful but not the wine or the staff. Once inside you can taste the Kamiakin Wines for free and or the Sheridan wines for $5.00. I started with the Kamiakin Wines since that's where there was an open space at the bar. The guys serving that day didn't provide any information about the wines or the winery when asked; I was just brushed aside after my taste was poured. After being forced to try their white wine which I politely passed on I wasn't in the mood to be here any more. Their white wine was 70% Sauvignon Blanc 30% Semillon and a little on the sickly thick and sweet side for me, I wasn't a fan. I also tried their Red Wine which did nothing for me, and after that I was ready to leave and head someplace that might talk to me and tell me about their wines. If you like to be ignored while tasting mediocre white stop in here otherwise I say pass it up. read more

Beautiful garden grounds with amazing views of the valley. Scott's wine has become a must have favorite for my wife and I, after one tasting we happily became members. His wine is like no other so smooth, rich, bodied and aromatic. My wife and I loved each tasting option along with our added purchases. If you are staying in the area or just passing through, visiting Scott and Sheridan is a definite must do. The staff is personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and laid back. Everything about our experience was amazing, we will be looking forward to making the drive from Bothell, WA again very soon and are extremely excited in hopes to make our first release party soon. Thank you Scott and all the Sheridan staff for such an unforgettable experience and Mother's Day weekend celebration for my wife. read more

Outstanding wine, amazing staff and spectacular views from the patio! Jenny and Big John take fantastic and very personal care of their guests and treat us as friends, not just customers. We live in Yakima and this a winery we always bring friends and family to that come to the area to visit! I've loved every wine I've had there; we just finished a bottle of the Boss Block and it was a perfect end to a long day. They have great wines at all different price points and I've enjoyed everything I've had. The chardonnay and La Belle Blonde are prefect summer wines. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

We came here due to other reviews on Yelp. We were disappointed with the service and wines. Found out will be moving to another location just renting out the space. Personally Dineen next door has better wines and wood fire pizza on the weekends worth your time and money. read more

This place is definitely one of the best of the Rattlesnake Hills wine region, really showcasing the talented wine making scene of this area in Washington. I truly think there are no better wines in Washington. The quality of these wines is outstanding and compares with any Napa wine at 2 to 3 times the price! The L'Orage is a long standing favorite, and I love the story behind it. Do ask them to tell you if you get a chance. Overall, my favorite two are Boss Block (the Cab Franc) and the Block One Cabernet. read more

Sheridan wines are outstanding. Our favorites are: Block One and Singularity. Block One compares favorably with very expensive wines from California, such as: Caymus. Singularity is as good as the top of the line Australian Shiraz wine. L'Orage is another fantastic red. We serve Sheridan wines at all our special functions. read more

A friend recommended that I add this winery to my list for my upcoming trip to the area...and I am sure glad he did!! Jenny and her staff were everything I look for when trying a new winery...friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about their wines. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there!! My personal favorite wine of the day was the Syrah. OMG - one of the best Syrah's I have ever had (and I've had quite a few). Their red blend "Mystique" was another enjoyable surprise. They have a new fan in me...so much so that I joined their wine club! Thank you all for bringing me headlong into the Sheridan family!! See you in September! read more

I moved to Yakima, WA a year ago from Kirkland, WA. I was introduced to Big John Caudill form Brad Baldwin, the owner of Stems in Yakima. My experience with Sheridan Vineyard has been fabulous! I joined the wine club right away. I am a big fan of the Block 1 and L'Orage!! When my friends come out for a visit, I take them to the winery and they become members. I have called Big John to ship a mixture of wines for a friend of mine. The wines arrived in CA and my friend's client was so impressed! He had nothing but good things to same about the wines. We live in Yakima and this is our favorite winery in the area. The reds are outstanding. They make an excellent Chardonnay as well, but reds are their specialty. The L'Orage is unbelievable as is the Cab from Block One! Mystique is a very fairly priced, excellent red as well. Aside from the outstanding wines, this is our favorite place to visit. There is a special member seating area with a great view of the valley and the mountains. The service is beyond spectacular. Big John and Jenny are personable, outgoing, and treat you like family. There is really no reason not to go back after you've been once. read more

The owner, Scott, and his wife Karen are as charming and gracious as anyone. But the bottom line is always the quality of the product and there are no better wines in this state than those that are produced by Sheridan Vineyards. From the Crossfork Creek label Cabernet, which may be one of the best deals anywhere, to the Boss Block Sheridan Cabernet you simply can't go wrong when you buy a wine produced by Sheridan. I haven't been to the actual vineyard, but I have been to their tasting room a couple of times. I think their reds are exceptional. The Kamiakin, I don't know - I didn't taste those... but the Sheridan Syrah, L'Orage, and the Cab Franc are very good wines They even broke out the reserves and let us taste them - they were so wonderful that we joined their club. The people were very friendly, not uptight, and they paired our wine with lamb and other tidbits, which were delicious and went very well with each wine. I read the other review, but it was from 2008. They are relatively new, so perhaps they are just getting better and better as I didn't have that experience at all. The people seem very informative and talked a lot about each wine. I learned so much about wine while I was there. Plus, I think their wines are exceptional. read more

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Sheridan wines five years ago and, since that time, I have found very few full bodied red wines that can compare to Block 1 and the other full bodied Sheridan reds, and I have tried many!
