We come and visit here when we come for Labor Dave Weekend. Love this winery and love the views! We have done sunrise yoga and it is the best place for a relaxing session! We wanted to stop at this winery before we went to our concert next-door. I thought it was super cool that the winery was also owned by the concert venue so it was super convenient to stop there before hand. The views are really nice of the gorge and it was super packed. They did offer a pizza food truck for food and another one for açai bowls. We ordered a pizza and they said it would take an hour and a half but we had to cancel our order becausethey were near Pizza order when we needed to leave for the concert. This was not the fault of the winery, the pizza truck was very busy and way behind on everyone's orders. We ordered some cheese and crackers to snack on and ordered their rosé also and it was very good. They also had jugs of water out because it was very hot so it was very nice to fill up when you needed to for free. If you were going to a concert at the Gorge, this is a must stop before hand because the views are amazing. The wine is really good and it's very convenient if you don't feel like tailgating for hours. read more

This place is wonderful! Located just next door to the Gorge Amphitheater, this should be your go-to spot before walking into the show! During concert weekends, you can escape the sun and the heat with some delicious wine that is reasonably priced and cheaper than the wine that you will find inside the venue. The Pink and Bubbly is our go-to for the summer months. The Cab Sauv is my favorite red, but the barbera and tempranillo are close as well. The staff here is always friendly and will be quick with your orders. Everyone in the tasting room knows the tasting notes about their wines, so they are happy to walk you through them. We always enjoy the Pink and bubbly though, it is a great sparkling Rose. Outside features a big lawn that you can walk and enjoy. During some of the weekends, they will have live music with a stage set up outside as well! Again, this is a go-to if you are going to the Gorge. You get better deals on drinks, and usually get some free live music too. They allow you to bring in outside food and snacks. Sometimes they will have a little pizza stand setup. They also sell crackers, cheeses, and some small other snacks. We recently joined the wine club, which is a surprisingly great deal. Most other wineries offer wine clubs where you really have to spend quite a lot to get your money's worth. We started out at the "Discover" level. This offers unlimited tastings for two people per visit (which is worth about $15 per tasting, per visit). You also get a good discount on bottle and glass purchases when in the winery (15%). So, for the annual price of roughly $160-$200, you can make this up fairly quickly. If you are on the Westside, they also have a tasting room in Woodinville, which made this decision even easier. You do not have to come here just in the summer concert months though. For the past two years, my wife and I have come here in November. There are few options to stay nearby that are pretty fun and reasonably priced. The views over the gorge are stunning in fall as well. Overall, highly recommend this place! Cheers! read more

Tip...call for reservations. Although they advertise walk-ins, during high traffic times it is busy and sitting might not be available. This is a beautiful tasting room with tons of white and red options. It was great trying some options that are not easily found like Gewurztraminer. Our sommelier was super busy but took time to make sure we had what we needed. We did the tasting flight then a glass of Voignier and XXXIII Merlot. The tasting room has a small selection of crackers, salmon, nuts and chocolate for sale. There is also a small selection of merchandise available for sale also. read more

What a beautiful winery with big, bold reds! My friend and I started our wine tasting day at Cave B, which was such a great introduction to the wineries in the central Washington area. Located in Quincy, Washington, this winery is massive, with acres of land for just about everything. You can even have a condo on the property, or just rent a hut with a hot tub and all the romance that comes with! The restaurant overlooks the vineyard, and there's space for large events, like weddings to live concerts. It's great for couples, but made for a fun gal's trip! My friend made a reservation for us, which I highly recommend doing. With the reservation, you get to sit under a nice outdoor canopy area that overlooks the vineyard, which made for a great experience. There, we were able to do a tasting where Maddie explained all the different wines to us. We tasted a sparkling rose, two whites and three reds. Of all the wines, I loved the 2016 cabernet sauvignon! So pepper-y, savory and full-bodied! Each tasting got better and better each time. Sooo, my friend and I actually decided to become wine members! They have different levels of wine membership, and we picked the Inspire, where you can customize six bottles sent to you every quarter. You also get free tasting for four of your friends and you, and use of the cave room, for private parties! It was too good to pass up. The reds were some of the best I've had. Anytime I'm back in this area, I will have to make a stop at Cave B! Loved the wines, friendly staff and is the perfect space for when you want to have a glass of red wine or two with friends, overlooking the vineyard. read more

Hidden gem with $10 6-wine tastings! I was camping at The Gorge Amphitheatre next door and visited the winery on the way back from hiking down to the Columbia River (the moderate-difficulty trail starts in the winery's parking lot!). The winery had a mix of campers here for the concert and folks who made the drive out to visit just the winery itself. This is one of the most beautiful wineries I've ever visited. There is a spacious green area where you can enjoy your wines overlooking the canyon and the river, and there is also an indoor couch seating area and Cave Room next to the bar. The great deal here was their $10 pre-selected wine tasting for 3 reds and 3 whites. It occurs in their Cave Room and you can stay there to enjoy your wines or you can step outside and take your time before coming back. They sell wine by glass, which I found was a bit pricy but I saw they filled their glasses pretty high. Overall, you can make a great trip out of your visit here by enjoying the scenery, or possibly even going for a hike! read more

One of our favorite white wines is a Vouvrey by Louis Laurent. This wine reminds us of that wine. On the nose and first taste, this wine is apricot forward. It's smooth, refreshing, and I would pair it with anything. On the finish, the apricot lingers with a hint of pear. It's not overly dry, and can hold up with some spicy chicken and cheesy cauliflower. I wish I could find this wine in Florida, but we discovered it at the Cave B Winery in Washington State. read more

Probably my favorite winery that I'm a member of. Period. My bf and I visited this winery twice this year (with COVID, it's hard to take roadtrips far) and each time has exceeded our expectations. We typically stay at the tiny homes up on the hill and even though it's pricey, it's worth it for a vacation/away from home trip but still being on the winery grounds where you can walk around. The views and grounds are beautiful. The summer was a lot busier at the winery with all the tastings and beautiful weather, but probably quieter during 2020. We also went during the fall and despite the cooler weather, we still had a good time. We just didn't sit outside during our tastings and the spa/restaurant were all closed. The wine itself - is fantastic for the price. They have a huge selection in whites and reds, so most people will find one they like. The tastings at this Quincy location are set for the day - so you get 6 wines for $15 (free for members!). At the Woodinville location (which is closer to home and also free for members), they give you a list to choose from - and you can choose up to 6. There's plenty of varietals and the staff are always super nice and helpful. The cave they have indoors is also super cute. Highly recommended. We've been members for over a year now and I have thoroughly enjoyed the service, wine and winery grounds itself. Can't wait to go back in 2021! read more

(Edit) Ok so I have to eat my words because my family member insisted on coming back here & we had a lovely time. Wine was delicious & customer service was great. Also the view is beautiful. Highly disappointed. I am from out of state (California specifically) and was looking for a winery that my family and I would enjoy. We drove over an hour and when we got there the tasting room it was closed. It was 3:00pm on a Tuesday. There was nothing posted on the website or social media stating that they would closed. In fact google said that they were open. There was no explanation posted on site anywhere or anyone to speak to ask why they were closed. We couldn't even purchase wine to go read more

I have been here a couple of times now. Once we came to experience the sunny side of Washington and the second time we opted to stay at the nearby resort. Both the times, we felt a hint of non inclusivity from the manager. The manager goes around the room and has long conversations with pretty much every one. This second time, there were hardly 4 or 5 parties at the room and even with the folks he didn't interact with, he went ahead and asked if they needed anything else. However, he didn't bother coming to check on us even once which made us feel not welcome in this establishment. read more

We usually come here every LBD weekend while camping at the Gorge. Unfortunately this year all plans for LBD were cancelled due to covid-19 restrictions. As I lamented our loss I realized I hadn't reviewed Cave B previously. How could I have forgotten such a central part of 11 Labor Days of yore? This beautiful winery sits in front of rows of vineyards on one side and the eye catching Columbia River Gorge on the other. Someday we will plan to stay here in their lovely accomodations rather than in a tent down the road! They are happy to tell you all about their wines and let you take your time having a tasting on their property. I really enjoy being able to walk around their luxurious grounds on cooler days and then pop inside when it heats up under the sun. One year when we went for our tasting we saw a wedding taking place - what a niche spot for a special event! read more

This place is a hidden gem. We were in the area for a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater, so we were a bit off the beaten path. This winery was a few minutes away so we thought we'd check it out. Cave B has one of the most exceptional views, and I think theres a stage for events or shows. We did a tasting of 6 wines for $10 which included 3 whites and 3 reds. Each wine was incredible and there were a couple that were so innovative. The tasting occurred in their cave room where they played music and had some seating, or you could go outside to sit, or walk around the property and take in the views. The people who were working were sweet and had some good jokes, with much knowledge about each tasting. We left with purchasing a bottle for later since we enjoyed our experience so much. It was a great spontaneous experience before our concert! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. read more

Been here for least 5 different occasions--each time we've introduced new friends to it. Lovely ambience and wines. I love that they give us a keepsake glass to take home - we've collected several over the years. We drove out to the Gorge for a weekend getaway from Seattle and dropped in. The scenery is beautiful here and we had a great time doing a wine tasting of 6 different wines. The staff was super friendly, we had a nice chat with some of the folks there. Definitely recommended if you're in the area. We stopped in on a Monday afternoon. We were super excited to experience the wine and enjoy the beautiful view and location. While the wine was decent, we've enjoyed far better. Our experience was beyond disappointing. We were the only guests in the tasting room. When we received our first tasting, we called over to the counter with a "hey do you guys want your wine?" Well that was a first for me! I'm used to being greeted, served, given an explanation of the wines we would be tasting, notes, etc. When the employees did eventually bring over additional tastings, we were told what wine it was..but that was the extent of the experience. The next disappointing thing was we were told that tasting fees aren't waived with bottle purchase, instead we could take home our wine glass. After all this, we would have purchased a bottle or two, but we were so disappointed with the whole experience we chose not to purchase or even take our glasses. A couple of recommendations: 1. Up your tasting fee to include the glass cost and offer a waived fee with bottle purchase. 2. Employees should be trained on friendliness, customer service 3. Employees should have some type of professional dress requirements. As the two staff members had on sweatshirts, beanie hats. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I have broken down my visit into sections below but the overall message is DO NOT VISIT AND DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING THERE!! REPEAT: DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING THERE 1. Reservations The website is extremely difficult to use. I was attending Cave B for a wedding and the code wouldn't work, when I called they didn't answer several different times. When they finally did they were rude and acting as if every question I asked was stupid. 2. The Yurt The yurt was disgusting, there was dirt/dust all over the ground and the stereo they put in there is horrible and can't hold a bluetooth connection. My friends yurt had a broken curtain that fell off the door TWICE. When I went to go take a shower, there were 2 earwigs in my towels. There is also nothing to cover the skylight so the sun comes in at 4am. 3. WEDDING The wedding I was in was only made amazing by the people attending it. 16 days before the wedding the venue EMAILED the bride to say how excited they were to host the wedding but that they needed around $8,000 more! YES 16 DAYS BEFORE they emailed her to say she owed more money (not her fault, their fault) and that they needed an answer in 2 days. She booked the venue a year in advance and they signed and viewed the contract. All their visits to the winery went smoothly leading up to the wedding and nothing was ever said about them not being charged enough or anything. I was shocked to say the least so when she argued that it was a mistake on their end and its not fair, they didn't care and were happy to cancel her wedding and her guests reservations. OVER THEIR MISTAKE. I promise you I am not making this up. 4.Treatment of Guests The morning after the wedding, the bride and I walked into the main check in area where they serve breakfast to say good morning to her guests and quickly leave. The bride was in a beautiful and appropriate, one piece swimsuit with shoes on and tried to walk in to say hi. Instead she was stopped by a woman who was the owner saying she can't come in and that this establishment was "classy". SHE WAS SO RUDE! All of this after the bride spent so much money on her wedding there. 5. Misc. - They have no water service, our places we stayed only had two water bottles, when I asked for more they said we could buy them at the front desk -The roads to drive around were dusty and untamed -The AC in my yurt cooled only half the room -The beds in the yurt were uncomfortable -The signs displayed throughout the property of tiny or missing DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING THERE! read more

I feel compelled to review beautiful Cave B Estate Winery, not only to spread the word, but to hopefully help sort out the resort/winery dilemma as well :). I can't say enough about Cave B. Honestly, I don't think I had even experienced good wine before I discovered this winery. I love everything about it, the history of the vineyards, the breathtaking physical beauty of the landscape, the people, the wine (of course), I could go on. I certainly encourage anyone and everyone to pay them a visit, I promise you will not regret it! I was lucky enough to take a seasonal position in the tasting room, briefly, last summer.. I was always happy to help clarify the distinction between the two companies (Cave B Winery and Cave B Resort), and I hope I did the same with my post. Cave B is a 5 star rating all day!
