Unfortunately, on the day we went, there were no views due to smoke from various fires. However, I was impressed by the scope of the wind farm; 149 wind turbines placed high on the ridges of Whiskey Dick Mountain. The towers are 221 feet tall, and each blade is 129 feet long. And the displays at the Visitor Center (Renewable Energy Center) are well done and informative. How do these turbines work? Why do they have 3 blades?
