My two friends and I had a girls weekend in walla walla and want to enjoy a day wine tasting. My client had a great experience and highly recommended Tom. We are so lucky we had him as our guide and driver :) he was very knowledgeable of all the wineries in the area he even brought a cooler to keep our wines cool and water. Tom was very professional, outgoing and fun to be around. I highly recommend his service ! read more

Wine Country 2 Go - Walla walla wine tasting - Wine Tours Near Me

I just had another awesome wine tour with Tom! I have chosen Tom as my guide 3 times and every time I miss him when it's over. This time was a repeat moms get away! He showed up with a cooler (I swear the man is psychic because everything we forgot he had) waters, and fresh picked raspberries and cherries from his garden! As always Tom was attentive and we wanted for nothing. He opened doors, carried our bags, loaded/unloaded the car, and most importantly he paid attention!! Even though the last trip we took with him was 4 years ago, he remembered details about our visit and our personalities. Tom is like family at this point. I cant imagine going on a wine adventure without him. I would give him an extra star if I could. If you are looking for a very loved, knowledgable, thoughtful, safe, fun, and all around kick ass guide/driver, then look no futher... call Tom and book your tour! Be warned though..you'll get more then you bargained for...you may walk away with a new friend and a craving for fresh picked Raspberries read more

My friend and I just spent a long weekend in the Walla Walla wine country. Tom made it so much better! We arrived on Thursday and it stopped at three wineries on our way into town. We spent the next two days riding around with Tom and I'm so glad we did. He knew so much about the area and knew the people in every winery we stopped in. I will be sure to call Tom anytime I ever come out to Walla Walla because he made our trip so fun and so easy. He went above and beyond helping us carry our wine and labeling it so that we didn't get our wine mixed up with one another's. He always checked before we left every winery that we had our phones and that we had our wallets. He stopped in the morning before picking us up at a fabulous little sandwich shop and picked up our sandwiches so that we could have lunch while touring around. He was full of so much information and his passion for the area and the wine was ever present. He took tons of photos for us so we actually had pictures together! I'm so glad we found him and I highly recommend him. read more

My husband and I drove from Seattle to visit Walla Walla for the first time. Sure, we could drive around the wineries blindly and hope we find wines we loved. Tom came highly recommended by our Air B&B and I'm SO grateful! He made tasting room reservations for us, gave us a wonderful tour of the area on the drive, and made the day effortlessly fun! He knows a lot about wine but is not pretentious a bit, and super hospitable - bringing a cooler for our snacks and bottled water for us. The folks at the tasting rooms all knew Tom and were excited to see him; it felt like we were special guests at each place. This is the way to taste in Walla Walla - safe, fun, an experience - highly recommend! read more

Couldn't have asked for more from Tom! He tailored the perfect tour based on what we like. Then he just took care of everything-even made recommendations for lunch before. His driving was great and it was nice to have our own car. Tom brought a cooler of water and encouraged us to hydrate between wineries. He also labeled and hauled out wine purchased, took pictures and sent us a recap of wineries we visited. His knowledge of Walla Walla and the wine industry was top notch. I would recommend and use Tom without considering another option. read more

I'll start by saying we had been wine tasting in Walla Walla before. I'll also say that we had no idea what we were doing until using Tom as a personal wine chauffeur. We were hooked up with him because he donated one of his busy days to a great organization (Spokane Guild School). We bid on and won the package and were blown away by our experience. As others have mentioned, he not only takes care of you (driving, water, sunscreen, etc.) but he knows a ton! He has been in Walla Walla for years and does a great job of balancing history with viticulture. Everyone knows Tom and that gets you some great treatment at wineries. Tom was right there when he needed to be and somehow disappeared occasionally so that my wife and I could have some time alone. Just the right touch. He was focused on our experience and never rushed us or pushed us along. It was all about our day and he was there to help. It was nice to not worry about driving and we ended up getting to 6 wineries in one day which was plenty. Don't hesitate to use a service like this. It's way worth it! Make sure to book well enough in advance because the good ones like Tom, tend to fill their schedule quick. read more

We loved using Wine Country 2 Go yesterday on our weekend wine trip to Walla Walla! Tom was so friendly and had great local recommendations for us. It was so nice to not have to worry about driving while imbibing. All the winemakers knew Tom so we knew we were in good hands. He took pictures of us throughout the entire day and then emailed them to us after the tour. And he even sent us a follow-up email today to let us know one of the wineries we wanted to visit would be closing early. So thoughtful! We will definitely be calling Tom on any future visit we make to Walla Walla! Thank you Tom! read more

My husband and I just spent an entire day with Tom and it exceeded our expectations! Not only is he super friendly but he is incredibly knowledgable and takes the the guess work out of directions/timing of winery hours. He also introduced us to our new favorite winery, Adament. Without Tom we wouldn't have known to go to this tasting room. We would absolutely recommend Tom to any of our family/friends, and will be contacting him next time we are in Walla Walla. Thank you for the amazing experience, Tom! read more

We were in Walla Walla for wine release weekend and our experience was beyond amazing! Thanks to Tom Olsen who we now consider a friend and part of our family! Tom documented each day of our tasting by capturing many pictures of the gorgeous wineries and candid photos of our family and friends along the way. I cannot overstate how great Tom's service is! Having a driver who is so knowledgeable, so friendly, and so easygoing makes for an amazing wine tour. Tom responded quickly to our email inquiries, and he lined up a truly enjoyable day for us. He knew which wineries would be open mid-week, and he knows the story at each place. His expertise is unparalleled. There's no pressure to buy, no agendas or schedules to keep, just a friendly driver who helps you make the most out of your trip. Tom is the best! read more

Wine Country 2 Go - One of the many wineries we visited with Tom. - Wine Tours Near Me

My husband and I hired Tom during our visit to Walla Walla and would highly recommend! He made all reservations for us ahead of time which was great. He was very prompt and professional. At each winery he taught us about the history of the vineyard, and took us behind the scenes at some places. His knowledge and guidance was much appreciated and we learned so much more about the region than we would have touring on our own. The next day he sent us a Dropbox link to photos he had taken for us throughout the day which was nice surprise. Highly recommend his service! read more

Stop looking - this is your tour. From the very get-go, Tom was knowledgeable, helpful and quick to respond. He's easy to talk with and clearly well liked throughout the valley. He helped us plan our day, yet during the actual tour, offered great suggestions when we diverted from the original schedule. He thought of everything - brought a cooler, camera, bottled water, the works. I think he even had menus for different take-out businesses so we could better choose where to eat. What's more, his connections got us access to experiences and tastings we wouldn't have had! Can't wait until we return and can go on yet another tour. read more

Tom is the man!!! This is the second time that Tom has shown us around Walla Walla wine country and he has not disappointed. Tom saved notes from our first visit four years ago and had new recommendations for us. Tom is very knowledgeable of the history of wine making in the area and viniculture in general. He gave great recommendations on new wineries to visit and does a great job of mapping out an agenda for the day based on the types of wines you prefer. Bravo Tom! read more

Tom is an awesome wine tour guide. Very friendly. Very knowledgeable. Knows just about everyone at all the different wineries. He even called ahead to get us in one that was not even open. This was a recommendation from a friend. Tom was our driver. wow, best time I've had touring around walla walla tasting wine :) I'm in the wine industry and didn't want to drink and drive. Winecountry2go was a great solution. Fun times had by all. can't wait to do it again and Tom will definitely be our driver. Reason to have Tom drive your vehicle... He took us to wineries I wouldn't have gone to as a visitor. (I asked to treat us like we were out of towers) Fabulous place for lunch Awesome winery picks He took photos of us having a blast Highly highly recommend. read more

Wine Country 2 Go was a fantastic find! Tom Olson truly "made" our Walla Walla experience. We were a party of five girlfriends, out to Walla Walla for a multi-day wine country tour. Before the trip, Tom helped us meld together all our various wish lists into 2 fabulous days of tasting with him as our driver, and even gave us suggestions for our additional day "on foot" in the downtown area. His knowledge of the community (and obvious strong ties within the area, which we witnessed all along the way), wines in general and many of the winemakers personally made for such a special, intimate experience. Tom went above and beyond any of our expectations. From snapping candid photos during the course of our trip, making sure we kept track of all our personal belongings along the way, keeping our MANY purchases sorted, adapting short notice to our individual requests, and giving us some great food recommendations, Tom was outstanding. I can't rave enough about the top-notch, novel service Tom and Wine Country 2 Go provide, allowing for a fun and safe wine country adventure. Cheers to Tom and Wine Country 2 Go for a job well done. We WILL be back to see you again SOON! read more

Some friends and I had Tom as our driver when we were in town for a few days. He was an *excellent* guide--easy-going, very knowledgeable and plugged-in to the local scene! It was clear he wanted us to have the best experience possible, and thanks to him, it was an awesome day! If we had specific places we wanted to stop, he was very accommodating, and he also suggestions of where to go depending on what we were looking for (best ambiance or view, what tasting rooms might have specific types of wine, etc.). It was the best of both worlds, since we visited an old favorite and discovered some great spots! Just what we wanted. He really went out of his way--when we really, really wanted to try a particular grape, he even asked a winemaker if we could sample a wine that was not part of the tasting that day. Tom was also a conscientious driver, and I felt completely safe in his hands. As other reviewers note it keeps costs down to have him drive your car (or rental car, apparently--you can add him as a driver for the day). It also gives you the flexibility to make the day *yours*--stay longer at a spot, bring whatever you want in the car, etc. I can't imagine going on an organized wine tour after having such a cool, personalized and friendly experience! read more

We heart Tom! So knowledgeable and nice. Super chill wine tour and took us to some great spots. We flew in so he totally handled getting boxes for us at a great price. He drove us everywhere and knew the perfect spots to take us. We will definitely work with him again. Felt like we hung out with a new friend all day. His price is so low and we told him to raise it to match his value. We also paid him much more to match what he's worth. What a great guy!!! We highly recommend!! read more

Hiring Tom to drive us around was the BEST decision we made during our wine tasting weekend! First, Tom is extremely courteous and attentive. While wine tasting, Tom would go back to the car and grab a box for our purchased wine. He'd work with the tasting associate to load up our goodies and would carry the box back to the car. Second, Tom is extremely knowledgeable. While I somewhat expected him to know a few things about the area, Tom seemed to know EVERYTHING about the various wineries, landscape and viticulture of the region. There were many times I noticed the tasting room associate looking at Tom for information, and he would kindly jump in and finish THEIR story. Kind of entertaining to watch. Third, he is very trustworthy. His business model is that he meets you at a predetermined location (i.e. your hotel) and then drives your car. Because of this, we arranged for Tom to drop us off in downtown Walla Walla and he drove our car back to our hotel so that we only needed 1 Uber ride and had our car for the morning. Extremely convenient and I would have zero issues doing that again. Lastly, the price is worth it. The fantastic service aside, it was very worth the money to avoid driving intoxicated. If Tom is available, you NEED to book him. read more

A friend recommended Tom, and we couldn't be happier that she did! We were traveling to Walla Walla from Austin, TX, and even from the initial email, he was instrumental in helping us to navigate our time. He gave us wonderful recommendations, amazing service and went above and beyond. Tom truly thought of everything to make our day special. We genuinely enjoyed his company, and wished the day did not have to end. Thank you Tom! Dean and Cindy Baxter read more

If you are planning a wine tasting trip to Walla Walla for any size group I highly recommend Wine Country 2 Go. Tom's preplanning is so well organized that our entire trip is incredible. Tom is THE MAN if you are looking for someone to drive you around while you wine taste in Walla Walla. We have been booking Tom each year that we come to Walla Walla and we recommend all of our friends to him as well. I think we have been using him the last 5 or 6 years now. He picks up our lunches. He helps book appointments. He then picks you up at your hotel (or where you are staying) and you are off. He has amazing relationships with all the wineries, can make the appointments, has awesome recommendations on all food and wine in Walla Walla as well. He is my "go-to" guy if I ever have questions about where we should eat or drink on our upcoming trip. The best part is he is reasonably priced, he is running his own small business and he drives your own car. He is a super careful and cautious driver and I have no reserves about ever having him drive us - even in Covid times! Tom is the one to call! You won't be disappointed! read more

To say that we would recommend Tom, doesn't truly do it justice. Our two days that we spent with Tom were the highlight of our trip, even on the days that we weren't with him, his recommendations provided us with truly amazing experiences. Between the peace of mind of having a designated driver and friendly conversation, his depth of knowledge about wine and the surrounding area are all reasons that your trip will be that much better with Tom.  Coming into the trip, we fully expected to only visit Walla Walla once, but we had such a wonderful time that we are already planning a second vacation and Tom will certainly be a part of it! read more

Tom is awesome! Certainly is friendly, funny, informative and accommodating. If you're looking for a tour guide, look no further!

We really enjoyed Tom driving our rental. He showed up on time to our hotel and spent a few minutes asking us what kinds of wines we preferred. He also gave us a run down of the town. Once he knew what we liked, he took us to wineries large and small. He attempted to find the winemakers for us so we can get to know them. Some of whom he knew personally. He also introduced my girlfriend to one winemaker who was Swiss, as she is. He is a very pleasant person, who is laid back and is there to satisfy your needs. He made for a very enjoyable day. I would definitely recommend him for anyone going wine tasting in Walla-Walla. read more

We (3 couples) spent 3 days with Tom; Wine Country 2 Go is by far the best wine country chauffeur service I have every experienced. He will take you exactly where you want to go, or will recommend wineries based on the type of experience you want. 2 intimate tours, or 7 tasting stops.....! He even made a picnic-supply run for us while we were doing a tour/tasting. This is the 3rd time we have had the opportunity to hang out with Tom. We've had a visit with a large group in a rented van, with my husband and I, and this past weekend, we visited with another couple. Tom is wonderful in communicating via email prior to our visit, to help set a proper schedule based on our winery requests. He'll make tasting appointments if needed, and pick up pre-ordered lunch with suggestions of wineries that would be the perfect setting for lunch. Tom was great to offer winery suggestions when a slot in our scheduled opened up, with every added stop being amazing! Tom has a great relationship with all of the tasting room staff and winemakers. He is a joy to hang out with all day, and perfectly balances interaction and privacy. We can't wait for our next visit. read more

Had a great day with Tom. He drove my wife and I around in our car to about 6 different wineries. He knows a TON about the region, the individual wineries, and everybody knows him. We got to tour Basel on our own because he's friends with the manager of the grounds. He gave us great recommendations on places to see, eat, and taste in town for the rest of the time we were spending in Walla Walla. Tom is easy going and easy to talk to, and dog friendly (we brought our dog). Affordable, safe, and fun alternative. Would do it again! read more

This was easily the best decision we made on our trip to Walla Walla. We have never been to WW before but planned a trip for our anniversary to wine taste. I eventually found out about Wine Country 2 Go and Tom via a Yelp search that he quickly responded to. Over the course of 3 months we went back and forth with no less than 50 emails regarding planning, scheduling, and hotel, dining and winery suggestions. We were constantly tinkering with the winery scheduling and throughout the process he never once had any issues with it. Once we finally met in person he was better than advertised. He was fully prepared for both days of wine tasting. He brought two coolers with ice packs in order to keep wine that we purchased cold (necessary since the weather was 90 degrees each day), he had tons of sanitizer and cleaning products and we felt safe the entire time. His knowledge of the WW area and the history is fantastic and we learned a ton during our two days with him. Everyone at every winery knows who he is and I also highly recommend having him come to the tastings with you as he was able to get us pours of wines that weren't on the tasting list. He also took pictures of us and the wineries throughout the day and sent us a dropbox file at the end of our trip with amazing pictures. I could write three more paragraphs about how great of an experience it was - that's how great of a time we had with Tom. I can't tell you the last time I've written a yelp review but this was certainly one that was well deserving. We will be back to WW soon and we will absolutely be coordinating our trip with our friend Tom. read more

Hands down the best tour guide in Wine Country! I hesitate to review Tom and Wine Country2go because I don't want the secret to get out - ha ha! In all seriousness, Tom as our tour guide was truly wonderful. We came in January, which is a quiet time of year. Tom is extremely knowledgable of the area and knows many of the vineyards so he was able to come up with a game plan for us newbies. We had an excellent experience. He was really flexible and laid back. He drives your car to keep down the overhead down so it's an excellent way to see wine country in the comfort of your own car where you can bring snacks, waters, picnic lunch...whatever you want. Tom goes along with your day and doesn't rush you anywhere you go. Also, sometimes you have your guides that you feel forced to chat with. Tom is great and goes along with the vibe. He doesn't chat endlessly if he feels you're in for a relaxing ride but he educates you about the area as you're going along and he's truly interesting to speak to so we ended up chatting with him the whole way. We're a married couple in our 30's so it was like having our super cool and chilled out Uncle driving us around and not having to worry about drinking and driving and learning stuff along the way. If you book Tom - be nice to him!!! He's a wonderful person and we're grateful to have met him. We'll be back with friends and family! read more

From here on out, we will ONLY use Tom and Wine Country 2 Go for our Walla Walla wine tours. Tom went above and beyond to make our wine tasting day as amazing. Tom communicated so well before our scheduled trip and showed up early to pick us up from the hotel. Love the convenience of him driving our vehicle too. Definitely keeps the overhead down. Tom knows all the wineries and winemakers in the area so he takes the time to come into the wineries and be a part of the day, and not just sit in a limo on the phone waiting for your passengers to be done. Tom is also so knowledgable about wine and the area, and will make vineyard stops too so we can check out the grapes. He will also carry your wine for you and get you anything you need. We already had a picnic packed but he will definitely stop and let you grab lunch too. Seriously, if you want an amazing wine tour, call or email Tom. read more

Our troupe of five ladies tumbled into Walla Walla from across the country for a bachelorette weekend, and Tom made sure it was one for the books! I'm not sure Tom or Walla Walla had seen the likes of us before, but he was a gem and the town also sparkled. From coordinating our itinerary to shuttling us from one tasting to the next, he kept us organized, informed, and smiling. His easy-going, accommodating demeanor and deep knowledge of the area make for ready conversation and thorough planning -- we were able to hit 7 impressive wineries each day. Moreover, Tom cheerfully acted as our personal photographer and shared a slew of shots on Dropbox the day we left. He also provided (at no charge) and packed our to-go boxes for the flight home. I couldn't imagine a better guide! read more

I reached out to Tom just a few days prior to Memorial Day weekend...he responded immediately, which was so helpful as I was really trying to plan and schedule our getaway weekend. While unfortunately Tom himself was booked, he went out of his way to find another driver for us very quickly (Chas). Chas was a great tour guide, friendly and knowledgeable and he really provided a fabulous tour of the Walla Walla wineries and gave lots of interesting facts and info about each one as well as the overall Walla Walla wine scene. At one of our wineries we ran into Tom who came up and introduced himself and was really sweet and genuine. We had a great weekend and would highly recommend Tom's Wine Country 2 Go anytime. The price and quality is impossible to beat. read more
