It's in downtown Yakima - there's plenty of parking, but it's busy down there ... and we were there Saturday evening! The building is nice and there's a pretty sidewalk in front. We entered and there was live music! We sat at the bar and a young man greeted us and started pouring. We talked about the wines and how the bar was started. We enjoyed the wines - some were actually very nice and a couple had a good 10+ years of aging! My better half had a full glass after, I had a local IPA. We liked it so much, we bought a couple bottles and we joined their wine club! It was such a pleasant place - I wish we had a place like that here in our town. Highly recommended! I almost forgot - their wines are very reasonably priced and they're also well made with very good grapes!

I loved the folk-style sort of aesthetic with the decorations scattered everywhere in this place. glad that there were tables, but all with stools only. wine was okay and something you would see on the cheaper section of stores like BevMo, Walmart, etc. not much to do around this plaza square in Yakima, too...

I've been coming to this winery for years now and always receive excellent service. Our favorite thing to do is to each get a mimosa flight, though I will say that the mimosa offerings have been a bit less than inspired over the last 2 years or so. Back in the day, they had some really interesting ones. My mom and i had a blood orange and thyme mimosa one year that we still talk about, along with a caramelized pear. This year however, the juice selection tasted like juice mix or at least something overly sweet and bottled -- I think the flavors were passion, orange, mango, and guava, so while they tasted all right, it wasn't exactly the experience we have looked forward to in the past. We shared a goat cheese sampler that was covered in some fresh, tasty fruit. My mom doesn't really like goat cheese, but we both thoroughly enjoyed the snacks. Overall, I always love visiting this winery, though I think the mimosas could be a bit more inventive/higher quality for how good their wine is.

They bring the wine pre-poured in mini-carafe's (I'm sure there's a proper name for them), and include a "blind" pour that if you guess correctly, you win a prize (which I did not.) The outside area is spectacular, with trees for shade, the views for miles, and the feel of being somewhere special. Service was OK, they bring you pre-poured if you sit outside, and they may check back in on you if they aren't too busy. It seemed our server was on the new side, and she told us 4 times she had only been there a few days. Inside, I think it might be a more traditional experience, but can't confirm. There is also a good-sized seating area inside - and you're able to see the other vintage/varietals available for purchase. Wines by the glass are available, but not for everything, and only for bottles they have already opened. I wanted to try their Sangiovese, but they weren't pouring it, and bummer they didn't have one open to taste - I would have loved to try it. I recommend (based upon my palate) the Abbot's Table and the Sinister Hand (fun background story as well). I didn't care for the rose - it was sweeter than I prefer. Regardless, come visit and you're bound to find something to suit your taste. So why 4-stars? I just have high expectations of servers when I'm tasting wine, and I didn't get the feeling that ours knew the product well, so I didn't feel like I would get much education (which is part of why I, myself, enjoy wine tasting - to learn something new).

It has the vibe of an old barn converted into a tasting room. There is limited seating, both indoors and out, but plenty of shade and sun outside depending on where you want to sit. And since this was our first stop of the day, I am confident in saying so! The tasting fee and bottles are also very affordable. The Allobroges is a rather unique of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre.
